  • Maglev vehicle has two kinds of suspension system such as a secondary suspension with air-spring and a primary suspension as electromagnetic suspension which composed of electromagnet, magnet driver, controller and sensors. The interaction between each dynamic component of vehicle and track effects the stability and running performance. To achieve the specified performance of vehicle, many various approaches of research were tried, then as the result of these efforts, the first commercial operating with Maglev will start soon. The bogie for revenue service from 2012 has some significant modifications compared to the previous one, and to verify the changes the half prototype vehicle was manufactured and took the running performance test. In this report, we will introduce the stage of manufacturing and report results of dynamic performance tests to verify new concept of bogie mechanism.

  • To assure the safety of urban railway train, it is necessary to observe the specified driving principles under an essential condition during running on tracks. These principles arises from a great deal of experience for a long time and include safe distance between trains, the railway signaling, block system, regular block of the highest priority and driving prohibition of simple railway vehicle in the main track, etc. Therefore, it is important to apply these principles to domestic urban railway driving regulations and railway vehicle driving regulations. However, domestic urban railway administrator established his own operation rules within the regulation. In this study, domestic urban railway administration's own rules are examined and the appropriate driving regulation on the safe driving principles is proposed.

  • This paper proposes about decentralized control approach based Leader-Follower formation control using LOS (Line of Sight) algorithm and unknown input observer. The position of robots which is a basic information in multi-robot or single robot motion control is determined by localization algorithm fusing UPS (Ultrasonic Position System) and kinematics model. For formation control, a decentralized control approach individually installing a local controller in leader and follower robot is adopted. Leader robot is controlled to track a specified trajectory by LOS algorithm, and the other robots follow the leader by local controller based on tracking platoon level function, self-sensing data and estimated information from unknown input observer. The performance of proposed method is proven through the formation experiment of two vehicle models.

  • We can process and compute the position, velocity and time by satellite signals of GPS. The signals are used to compute positioning of three dimensions and timing offset of the receiver clock when we can track the tour satellite signals at least. One of the specified aims is to use less expensive single frequency code/carrier phase GPS receivers, which are typically around half the price of dual frequency receivers. In the study, the author analyzed the accuracy and applicability of frequence linear combination using triangulation points evaluated distance limitation.

  • This paper presents an algorithm to control the undesirable sway of a suspended load in the crane system that has a trade-off between positioning the load and suppressing the sway of the load. The aim is to transport the load to a specified place with small sway angle as quickly as possible. Dynamic model is based on a simple pendulum driven by a velocity drive that is mostly used for actuating a trolley in industry. Proposed algorithm is composed of two parts : one is a off-line optimal trajectory generator, the other on-line tracking control. The former produces optimal trajectories minimizing energy under the speed constraint of velocity drive. The latter controls outputs to track the generated trajectories. Digital simulations and experiments are performed on a pilot crane to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control algorithm.

  • This paper reposes a novel tracking algerian for efficiency improvement of photovoltaic(PV) system using sensor method PV system of sensor method is exactly impossible to track a sun position when insolation is low or rapidly changed by the clouds and fogs. Also, in this case, tracking device is occurred energy consumption by unnecessary operating. This statement of reason, real power of PV system is not increased than fixed PV system in specified location. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel ticking algorithm considered insolation for efficiency improvement of PV system using sensor method And this paper analyzes the generation volume and proves the validity of proposed algorithm as compared with the conventional PV tracking system using sensor method.

  • This paper is on the analysis for the real-time software requirement. This method can be used for TNPN(Timed Numerical Peri Net) as a easy communication means with real-users. It is based on the RTTL(Real Time Temporal Logic) for correctness the system. TNPN is used to represent a behavior specification language, the validity of specified behaviors in TNPN is expressed in RTTL, and analyzed through the teachability graph. Thus, the requirement between user and system is satisfied Using the example of shared track, the validity of the property of real-time(safetiness, responsiveness, liveness, priority) is verified. Also this framework if given to connection with a object, natually.

  • Object tracking is being studied with various techniques such as Kalman filter and Luenberger tracker. Even in situations, such as the one in which the system model is not well specified, to which existing signal processing techniques are not successfully applicable, it is possible to design artificial neural networks to track objects. In this paper, we propose an artificial neural network, which we call 'maximum-likelihood weighted-average neural network', to continuously track unpredictably moving objects. This neural network does not directly estimate the locations of an object but obtains location estimates by making weighted average combining various results of maximum likelihood tracking with different data lengths. We compare the performance of the proposed system with those of Kalman filter and maximum likelihood object trackers and show that the proposed scheme exhibits excellent performance well adapting the change of object moving characteristics.

  • The recent unusual climate and extreme weather events have frequently given unexpected disaster and damages, facing difficulties in the management of water resources. In particular, climate change could result in intensified typhoons, and this would be the worst case scenario that can happen. The primary objective of this study is to identify the patterns of typhoon-induced precipitation and the associated synoptic pattern. This study focused on analyzing precipitation patterns over the South Korea using historic records as opposed to a specified season or duration, and further investigates the potential connection with heavy rainfall to synoptic patterns. In this study, we used the best track data provided by the Regional Specialized Meteorological Center of Japan for 40 years from 1973 to 2012. The patterns of the typhoon-induced precipitation were categorized into four groups according to a given typhoon track information, and then the associated synoptic climatology patterns were further investigated. The results demonstrate that the typhoon-induced precipitation patterns could be grouped and potentially simulated according to the identified synoptic patterns. Our future work will focus on developing a short-term forecasting model of typhoon-induced precipitation considering the identified climate patterns as inputs.
