In general, lithography techniques are applied when machining single-crystal silicon in nanoscale applications; however, these techniques involve low degrees of freedom for the vertical shapes. By applying mechanical techniques to machine silicon, nanopatterns having various types of vertical shapes can be manufactured. In this study, we determined the ductile-brittle machining transition point and analyzed the- variation of the specific cutting resistance within the ductile machining region in nanoscale applications. When brittle fracture occurred during the nanoscale cutting, the depth of cut and cutting force increased and decreased rapidly, respectively. The first point of rapid increase in the depth of cut was defined as the ductile-brittle machining point. Subsequently, the shape of the machining tool was observed using a scanning electron microscope to calibrate the machining area, considering the tip blunting. The specific cutting resistance decreased continuously and converged to a certain value during the nanoscale cutting. The decrease and convergence in the value can be attributed to the decrease in the ratio of the arc length to the area of the machining tool and silicon.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to show the rationale of point-selection on the methods of acupuncture and moxibustion in the Qi section(in the Naegyeong chapter) of the Donguibogam. Methods : First, We summarized the cause of each disease in the Qi section(in the Naegyeong chapter) of the Donguibogam. Then, We explained the rationale of acupuncture point-selection referring to the cause of disease, physiology of the Oriental medicine, other uses of each acupuncture points in the Donguibogam, character of each acupuncture points, flow of meridian pathways and specific acupuncture points etc. Results and Conclusions : Total 37 acupuncture points were used in the Qi section(in the Naegyeong chapter) of the Donguibogam. Most of acupuncture points were specific acupuncture points. but, some rationale of acupuncture point-selection were explained by the cause of disease, physiology of the Oriental medicine, other uses of each acupuncture points in the Donguibogam, flow of meridian pathways etc.

Most of rationale of acupuncture point-selection were explained by specific acupuncture points, character of each acupuncture points, physiology of the oriental medicine and flow of meridian pathways etc. Each acupuncture points has practical application of specific diseases.

Compaction is becoming a greater concern in crop production and the environment because it can have deleterious effects on growing conditions that are difficult to remediate. Because compaction can vary considerably from point to point within a field, and also from depth to depth within the soil profile, it is important to consider quantification and management of the spatial and vertical variability in soil compaction when developing an overall site-specific crop management plan. In this paper, the importance of soil compaction, techniques for quantification of its variability, and the concept of site-specific tillage are examined. Methods and systems to detect within-field variation in soil strength as a surrogate measure of soil compaction and related soil properties are also compared and discussed. Quantification of variability in soil compaction and site-specific compaction management was motivated recently, and sensors and control systems are still under development. Future study will need to address a number of issues related to understanding and applying the sensor measurements.

In this paper, Based on Two-dimensional Flow Theory, adopting quasi-orthogonal method and point-by-point integration method to design the impeller of the low specific speed centrifugal pump by code, and using RANS (Reynolds Averaged N-S) Equation with a standard k-${\varepsilon}$ two-equation turbulence model and log-law wall function to solve 3D turbulent flow field in the impeller of the low specific speed pump. An analysis of the influences of the blade profile on velocity distributions, pressure distributions and pump performance and the investigation of the flow regulation pattern in the impeller of the centrifugal pump are presented. And the result shows that this method can be used as a new way in low speed centrifugal pump impeller design.
