시대별 영화분장 특성에 관한 트랜드 분석 (Analysis on the Trend of the Characteristics of Film Makeup in Each Period)

  • 영화 시장에서 분장은 산업의 발전에 따라 전문적인 기술의 다양한 분장 방법들이 선보이고 있다. 따라서 영화유형의 변화와 그에 따른 영화분장 트렌드 분석의 필요성이 요구 된다. 무성영화시대의 초기 분장 특징은 스테이지무대 메이크업 분장이 그대로 활용되었다. 유성영화시대의 분장 특징은 리얼리티를 살린 사실적이고 구체적인 분장이 표현되었으며 스트리트 분장, 캐릭터 분장, 특수효과 분장 및 CGI 분장을 볼 수 있다. 4차 산업의 발전으로 CGI특수효과는 영화의 배경뿐만 아니라 분장에서도 정교함과 사실적인 표현이 가능해 졌다. 영화에서 분장은 CGI분장을 단독으로 사용하는 것이 아니라 스트리트 분장, 캐릭터 분장, 특수효과 분장 등이 복합적으로 활용되고 있다. 따라서 다양한 분장 교육이 필요하며 향 후 국내 영화산업에서도 충분한 제정 확보로 특수효과분장 및 디지털 분장 기술부분의 교육 및 개선과 대책이 마련된다면 한국의 영화산업이 국내외 시장에서 더욱 활성화 될 것이라 사료된다.

공포영화에 나타난 악마의 유형과 특수분장 기법에 대한 연구 (A Study of the Devil′s Types and the Special Effect Makeup′s Techniques Expressed on Horror Movies)

  • The purpose of this paper is to be studied the Devil's types and the special effect makeup's techniques expressed on horror movies. As the theoretical background, the researcher inquired the origin of Satan, Demon and Devil, and the shapes and meanings portrayed in the religion, philosophy art and literature. Also classified the Devil's types of the movies, and examined the factors, techniques and aesthetic characteristics of special effect makeup for each of them. The results are as follows. 1. The Devil's types are the Werewolf, the Zombie and the Vampire. The Werewolf is a kind of Devil that changes into a wolf when the full moon rises. It requires animatronics, rubber body suits, furs and fangs for special makeup effects. The Zombie is a dead body that the exorcist restored with a narcotic drug, and it nibbles on human's brain and flesh. So it needs decayed or pale skins, scars, bald heads, non-focus eyes and false teeth for making this character. The Vampire is a bloodsucking ghost. Therefore, it uses fangs, evil eyes, rubber body suits and dropping blood for special effect makeup. 2. They expresses Sadism, Masquerade and Cruelty as the aesthetic characteristics of the Devil's special effect makeup.

3D 특수 분장 마스크 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발과 활용 (제2보) (3D Special Makeup Mask Program Development and Utilization (Ver. 2))

  • The purpose of this study was to design a training program for utilization of 3D special makeup mask program. This study was conducted with a 3D computer graphics software program, for special makeup mask using a variety of creative educational models and case study with comparative analysis. The makeup program applied to the majors and liberal arts classes for program design. Inthis study, the selected major courses included ' stage make up ', make up application', and illustrations and color '. Students were required to take a class targeted to questionnaire completion and analysis. The research method included literature search, and Internet navigation, of experimental research. The research targeted select college students attending a 4-year university located in Dae-jeon, Korea. ETRI's "3D mask special makeup simulation program" was used in support. A survey of the study conducted from September 1, 2013, to August 30, 2014, showed a total of 94 additional statistical analyses. First, grade 3 44.6% was attained by 91.7% of the first year student majoring in liberal arts classes, Second, students' in the 3D special dress up mask program Interestingly, attained high recognition in its mastering, usability, and creativity. Furthermore, the major student satisfaction was higher for the '3D special makeup mask program. Third, students '3D special dress up was one of the biggest advantages of the program', the mask ' that models 3D ' faces. In addition, the student's delicate dress called for critical technology skills. It is thought to be suitable for practical training and improving the efficiency and performance if applied to universities and beauty schools, such as the regular high school curriculum through research.

  • The purpose of this study is to present important guidelines for effective eye-shadow color coordination according to T.P.O. such as 'Day time to Night', 'Special Occasions', 'Holiday Accents', 'Seasonal Looks' and 'Animated Characters'. The method is as follows; This study examined the 100 works of her published in the?500 EYE MAKEUP DESIGNS?. For this research analysis, three specialists selected a total of 100 photo-works through 3 rounds of evaluation. This study analysis was conducted based on the colors and tones of eye-shadows identified under Munsell's basic color chart. The study findings are as follows; First, 'Day time to Night' was found to have similarity coloration most frequently, presenting a more stable look in the Natural makeup. Second, 'Special Occasions' showed similarity, accent, and complex colorations mainly. Third, 'Holiday Accents' showed diverse types of colorations such as accent, complex, similarity and contrast. Forth, 'Seasonal Looks' was found to use a variety of colorations including similarity, contrast, accent, gradation and complex. Fifth, 'Animated Characters' showed contrast coloration the most for dramatic effect along with accent and complex colorations to give a unique and symbolic look. The color scheme database(DB) obtained in this study will be present important guidelines for future in eye-shadow makeup design.

클라운 분장 코디네이션의 카니발리즘적 특성 연구 (A Study of Clown Makeup Coordination's Carnivalism)

  • This study was motivated not only by the curiosity of clown as a comedian, but also by the clown's special makeup coordination. To analyze the clown makeup coordination Carnivalism, the researcher inquired 1) clown's meaning, sorts, periodic roles and stages, 2) Mikhail Bakhtin's Carnival theory, and 3) makeup coordination of clowns (Harlequin, Pierrot, Auguste and White Face Clown) as the theoretical background. The clown makeup coordination carnival characteristics were shown in masquerade, amusement and ambiguity. The masquerade was expressed on the mask for Harlequin and white makeup for Pierrot, Auguste and White Face Clown. The amusement was revealed on the fall and the inharmony of the grotesque makeup and childish costumes. And also the ambiguity was expressed on the sexless and the infant of clown's real nature and costumes.

메이크업 분야별 특성을 반영한 교육 방향성 연구 (Orientation of Makeup Education in Consideration of Characteristics of Makeup Sector)

  • 본 연구는 메이크업 분야별 특성을 고려한 메이크업 교육 방향성에 초점을 두었다. 우선, 메이크업 교육의 이론적 근거가 되는 메이크업의 학문적 범주와 속성을 분석하였다. 유사한 메이크업 기술이 필요한 실무 분야를 5가지로 구분하여 각 특성과 핵심자질을 분석하였고, 전문가 심층인터뷰를 통해 그 연구결과를 검증하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 메이크업의 학문적 범주는 예술, 기술, 디자인, 보건, 과학, 의학 인문학 등과 관련되어 있다. 5가지 분야에 대한 분석은 대개 실무와 일치함을 알 수 있었지만, 무대 공연과 패션쇼 분야의 핵심자질은 많은 차이가 있었다. 공통적으로 가장 중요한 핵심자질은 기본 뷰티 메이크업, 기본 무대 분장, 기본 영상 분장 기술이었으며 특히, 헤어스타일링 기술에 대한 요구가 높았음을 알 수 있었다.

영화 사례분석을 통한 디지털 분장 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study of Digital Makeup Techniques, based on a Case Study of a Film)

  • Digital makeup(DM), depending upon computer graphic softwares, is applied to various fields, e.g. character works in movie and game industries and visual printouts in printing works. Focused on makeup field, DM is extremely conducive to developing, scientizing and informationalizing makeup patterns. Despite of unlimited potential of DM of which market size has been growing day by day, its practical use by domestic makeup experts and educators is much less active than expected as far, due to the lack of knowledge accumulation. The purpose of this study is to suggest some theoretical frameworks to generalize DM techniques and analyze two cases using the frames therefore support academicians' recent efforts to theorize DM techniques. The study 1) defines and categorizes the concepts of DM and DFX(digital special effect); 2) reviews the literature relevant to DM and generalizes the types and methods of DM techniques; 3) applies general frames to analyzing two movie cases, famous for their DM effects; 4) then suggests, based upon analytical results, some efficient ways for makeup experts to use DM techniques in practice. This study contributes to providing the theoretical grounds to conceptualize DM thus broadening makeup artists' interests in DM and awakening the scholarly concerns in cultural technology including DM.

특수 분장 1인 방송 콘텐츠의 선호도 분석 (Analysis of Preferences for One-person Broadcast Contents in Special Makeup)

  • Recently, the use of one-person broadcast content for special makeup videos has gained momentum. This study aims to analyze the factors preferred by various age groups as the total number of clicks increase on special makeup videos. It also aims to provide beauty creators with useful data to help them create videos that generate more clicks based on the derived elements. We analyzed previous studies and divided the subjective indicators into place & accessories, editing, model (Y/N), contents and field, and characteristics of the creators. We analyzed top 5 videos from among 257 videos uploaded before July 1, 2020. The subjective indicators were analyzed through a questionnaire survey attempted by 60 respondents in their 10-30s from Jeollanam-do and Gwangju between July 20 to August 31, 2020. The questions majorly focused on intimacy, attractiveness, professionalism, informativity, and playfulness. We analyzed the collected data using SPSS 21.0, and obtained the following results: Informativity, professionalism, attractiveness, and playfulness were considered to be more influential by those aged 10 to 30 years. In particular, factors like visual elements, linguistic characteristics, experts, background music and sound effects, celebrities, product information, and knowhow were most preferred. In fact, it was easy to make videos using these elements. The above results confirmed the utility of such data for beauty-creators-to-be in creating videos that generate more clicks.

사극드라마의 여자캐릭터의 분장특성 연구 (A Study on Fusionization of Woman Characters in Fusion Traditional Drama)

  • Expression of woman characters in fusion traditional dramas plays a role of making the progress of dramas not bigoted and new. Especially, woman characters have a high weight as a heroine by an increase in their image in fusion traditional dramas. Expression of characters harmonizing modern with tradition has also given a help in reflecting a trend of the present times. Hair style and face makeup of woman characters in fusion traditional dramas are in the process of fusionization getting an effect from postmodernism. They are expressing the hair style of symbolization modern elements of hair style to traditional hair styles. They also expressed a neutral image with faded hair styles in the shaggy cut style and dye of neoplaticism. Neo-hippie style was changed into the style of naturalism and nationalism and the hair style braided in various branches as the one of Indians was changed into a primitive and national feature. It is producing a new style by permitting even a long-hair permanent wave hair style. Expression of straight hair style, a long-hair shaggy & bulging wave style and a hair style of neoplaticism, was distinguished. In the side of face makeup, they expressed its luxurious and splendid style by attaching great importance to its luster and are exposing images of characters by a smoky makeup emphasizing eye lines. Their face makeup was almost never separated from present dramas as using pearl shadow in a glossy lips makeup and color, which made it possible to express it more dramatically in fusion traditional dramas than in present dramas. In the event of the makeup element of fusion traditional dramas permitting diversity, the character makeup of fusion traditional dramas made a foundation to show people diverse elements of makeup by mix & match a present elements and past elements of historical research, which made it possible to express a unique makeup or a special makeup. Diverse makeup expressions were limited by reflection of illumination even in the existing videos. Therefore, 'Fusion' made it possible to express it more freely in fusion traditional dramas than in present dramas.

특수분장 산업현장의 작업 능률 향상을 위한 몰드의 디지털 공정 가능성 -FDM 방식 3D printer를 중심으로- (Digital Processability of Molds for Improvement of Work Efficiency in Special Makeup Sector - Focusing on FDM 3D printer -)

  • 본 연구는 특수분장 산업현장의 작업능률을 향상시키기 위한 방안으로 FDM 방식의 3D 프린터를 사용하여 제작한 특수분장 용도의 몰드와 실리콘 패치 성형물을 통해 디지털 공정의 가능성을 알아보고자 하였다. 이에 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 3D 그래픽 프로그램인 지브러시를 통해 모델링한 디자인을 FDM 방식의 3D 프린터로 출력한 결과 컴퓨터의 모니터를 통해 보이는 것과 동일하게 형태와 표면 질감이 구현되었다. 둘째, 단단한 고체 수지의 PLA 필라멘트와 폴리우레탄 소재의 플렉서블 TPU 필라멘트를 사용하여 몰드를 만든 후 실리콘을 성형한 결과 결과물의 형태나 표면 질감 구현에서 차이가 없었다. 그러나 몰드의 접합과 분리에서 PLA 몰드(음각)보다 TPU 몰드(음각)의 사용이 용이하였고, TPU 몰드(음각)를 사용했을 때 암수 몰드의 접합면에 언더컷이 있음에도 불구하고 맞닿아 실리콘 성형의 완성도가 높았다. 셋째, 서포트 생성은 슬라이싱 프로그램에서 오브젝트를 배치하는 위치나 몰드의 분리 적층 성형을 통해 접합면에 서포트가 생성되지 않도록 작업할 수 있다. 넷째, PLA나 TPU 필라멘트로 출력한 결과물의 수축률이 실리콘 성형 결과물의 형태를 변화시킬 만큼 영향을 주지 않는다. 다섯째, 초기 디자인한 모델링의 형태와 표면 질감은 그대로 구현되는 반면 등고선의 흐름은 미세하게 보인다. 또한 슬라이싱 프로그램에서 오브제트를 배치하는 각도에 따라 적층된 등고선의 결이 달라지며 조명을 받는 각도에 따라 보이는 정도가 달라진다. 따라서 실리콘의 표면을 채색하여 대상자에게 부착한 후 카메라로 촬영한 영상 이미지를 관찰하는 방법으로 사용 가능성을 확인하는 것이 필요하다.
