A comprehensive review on Tukhme Kunjud (Sesamum indicum Linn.) with special reference to Unani System of Medicine.

  • Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is a rich source of edible oil most commonly it is used as a food product mainly in bakeries and also use as a common source of oil in daily kitchen needs. Due to the presence of some special phytochemicals like proteins, fibers, oil, minerals and antioxidants it is highly used for medicinal and therapeutic purposes. It is a good source of energy and act as an antiaging agent. Its seeds are used as Anti-helmintic, antihypertensive, antimicrobial, cytotoxic and Hepatoprotective but its seed coat which is a byproduct of sesame and a cherished source of fibers is normally use for animal feedstuff. In Unani system of medicine it is used both as drug & diet (dawa wa ghida). In classical Unani literature it is indicated in various disorders like Asthma, Dry Cough, Gastritis (due to any drug, excessive use of alcohol), Dryness of Intestine, Dryness in throat, Renal Stone, Bleeding Piles, Amenorrhea, Retention of urine, Dysuria, Orchitis, Sexual Debility, Anorexia. The present review article, an attempt have been made to compile all the pharmacological and Pharmacognostical characters of Sesamum indicum with special reference to Unani literature.

  • 최근 VR 기술이 점차 발전하면서 다양한 가상현실 게임이 상업화되고 있다. 특히 사용자들에게 인기 있는 다양한 대형 3D 온라인 게임들이 VR 게임으로 변화하기 시작했다. 은 대형 3D 웹캐스트 의 파생 게임으로서, 2018년 4월 Steam 게임 플랫폼에 발표되었고, 독창적인 UI 디자인으로 사용자의 몰입식 체험을 극대화하여 VR 게임 선두 자리를 굳건히 지키고 있다. 게임의 시각적 유사성이 높지만, UI에서 나타나는 시각 요소에는 큰 차이를 보이고 있다. 본 논문은 게임에서 몰입감을 높이기 위한 캐릭터, 장면, UI Design, 색상 및 폰트의 시각적 UI 요소에 대해 연구하였으며, 향후 신형 VR 게임의 몰입식 체험을 위한 독창적인 인터페이스 디자인에 대하여 연구하였다.

홍상수 감독의 영화 <지금은 맞고 그때는 틀리다>(2015)의 일상적인 캐릭터와 연기 (The Everyday Characters and Acts of Director Hong Sang-soo's Film (2015))

  • 우연한 어떤 것을 기다리는 듯 단조롭게 반복되는 일상 속에 정지된 화면처럼 불쑥 등장하는 거리의 간판과 자연의 풍경(나무), 특별한 의미 없이 등장하고 사라지는 인물들, 상투적인 만남과 헤어짐을 반복하면서도 상투적인 것에서 벗어나라고 충고하고, 어떠한 결말도 제시하지 않으면서 다시 제자리로 돌아가는 인물들의 모습은 일상의 우연성과 의외성을 강조하면서도 너무나 익숙하기 때문에 간과되기 쉬운 일상의 순간들, 그러한 순간들 속에 잠재된 일상의 낯섦을 경험하게 한다. 잘 짜여진 캐릭터의 관습에서 벗어난 배우의 연기는 현장성이 강조된(계획되지 않고 다듬어지지 않은) 즉흥적인 연기로 영화라는 구조 속에 갇혀있지만 갇혀있지 않은 듯 자유로운 현실 속의 사람처럼 차별화된 캐릭터의 일상성을 표현하고, 마치 일상에 길들여진 듯 반복되는 인물들의 말과 행동, 예측할 수 없는 감정의 변화들은 만남과 대화가 중심이 되는 홍상수 감독의 영화에서 일상의 배경으로 제시되는 모든 것들과 일상의 형식을 이루며 이러한 일상은 어떠한 의미를 갖고 무엇을 발견하게 하는지 주목하게 한다. 또, 이러한 일상의 과정을 사실적으로 재현하기 위해 배우를 먼저 정하고 난 뒤에 이야기를 만들어간다는 홍상수 감독은 그의 영화에 반복적으로 등장하는 배우를 통해 캐릭터와 배우의 관계를 새롭게 설정하고, 사실적인 표현의 새로운 방법을 제시해 주었다는 점에서 본 연구는 홍상수 감독의 연출 스타일을 바탕으로 영화 <지금은 맞고 그때는 틀리다>의 일상적인 캐릭터와 연기를 분석해보았다.

한.중.일 세시풍속과 세시음식(歲時飮食)에 대한 비교 (Comparative Study on Seasonal Festival and Food Culture among the Korea, China and Japan)

  • We conducted a consensual, expansive, and successive study to compare cultural differences and similarities between Korean, Chinese and Japanese's Seasonal Festivals and Foods documentarily. It showed interesting results that the three countries had celebrated with similar meanings, and shared similar events and special foods. Seasonal Festivals happen throughout the year sequentially: the New Year Day, January $15^{th}$(first full moon festival), March $3^{rd}$(double three day), May $5^{th}$(double five day), July $7^{th}$(double seven day) and finally the Year Farewell Festival. While, the festival of a royal birthday of Buddha happens on April $8^{th}$ in both countries: Korea and Japan. There is also one of the big festivals called the harvest moon festival on August $15^{th}$, and this event celebrates with special foods both in Korea and China. On December $23^{th}$, it is a special day for both Chinese and Japanese, but they celebrate the day with different meanings to it. Three countries have a special seasonal event celebrated each other. Koreans have a special event called Sambok to overcome summer with special food during a middle of June to the beginning of July. Chinese have a special event for overcoming winter with soup on December $8^{th}$. Japanese have a special event with rice cake to safety on January $11^{th}$. On these seasonal festivals, it is different to note that two different kinds of calendars are used. The lunar calendar is used by Koreans and Chinese whereas the solar calendar is used by Japanese. Because of the similarity in Buddhism, and agricultural industry, and especially sharing Chinese Characters in words, these three countries have in common in many ways to celebrate Seasonal Festival, and it is very unique custom in the world. Nowadays; however, these traditional events and special foods are changing in more simplified version and almost disappearing in all three countries. Therefore, we suggest that the Seasonal Festivals and Foods should be more emphasized in flourishing and exchanging between Korea, China and Japan.

  • Symbol is one of the most profound ways to express the essence of human beings, as well as the most representative non-verbal communication medium. In this study, the descriptions of the clothing and ornaments of the main characters of the novel Little Women were excerpted from the Korean translation version. Based on the hidden symbols from the descriptions, after analyzing the characteristics of the main characters of the novel through their clothing and ornaments, the connection between the clothing and the symbols reflecting the internal workings of the mind was analyzed based on the previous theories on symbols. As proven in this study, since the clothing and ornaments directly symbolize the characteristics of the person, without any explicit statements about his/her characteristics, the clothing itself speaks volumes about them. Clothing is the most accurate visual symbol that speaks of the person's social, economic, and psychological aspects. The use of special clothing and ornaments or the highlight on certain parts reveals the characteristics of the character and his/her situations more effectively. In conclusion, literary, including novels well describes not only external factors, such as the social and cultural status of society and the character's economic situation, but also an individual's psychology such as his/her emotions and personalities. Therefore, the clothing that the character wears in a literary work symbolically reflects these factors.

노자(老子) "도덕경(道德經)"에 수록(收錄)된 양생(養生) 관련(關聯) 문구(文句) 분석(分析) (A study on the analysis of related terminologies to life nurturing thoughts in the "Tao Te Ching(道德經)")

  • There are two different views on the relationship between "Tao Te Ching" and the life nurturing thoughts. Some researchers think that the life nurturing is a main idea of "Tao Te Ching", but others do not. By analysing the related terminologies to life nurturing thoughts in the "Tao Te Ching", we came to the conclusions as below. 1. Chapters which mentioned about the life nurturing thoughts include chapter 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 12, 16, 19, 20, 22, 24, 30, 35, 42, 44, 46, 50, 52, 55, 73, and 81. 2. Of 21 chapters that related with the life nurturing thoughts, 19 chapters mentioned about the mind nurturing(精神養生). It showed that "Tao Te Ching" put special emphasis on the mental health in the aspect of life nurturing. 3. There are 5,283 characters in "Tao Te Ching", but only 422 characters were used to mention about the life nurturing thoughts. That could be a one proof that the life nurturing thoughts was not a main idea of "Tao Te Ching".

  • The special characters of traditional architecture has been formed suitably correspond with the purpose of usage and function, which was influenced with various environmental factors such as natural, social, physical, cultural and thoughtful. There was some differences in building placement and space composition according to the regional character such as climate, customs, and a gap of convention (long-established custom) and one's social position system and custom character of family. However, the essential characteristic of traditional architecture are nicely contain the era's architectural character. But these characters are developed or extinct according to the environmental factors. This paper is looking for the elements that formed social cultural element and background architect's thought. And, with the historical background, there are looking for Occupation. A traditional architecture had been formed correspond with the purpose of usage and function, which was influenced with physical nature environment elements such as regional character, climate, customs and social cultural environment elements such as government, economy, society, culture and thoughtful elements.

  • 문화의 사전적 의미를 보면 인간이 개선 내지 향상의 여지가 있는 대상, 특히 인간 자신의 삶의 활동을 돌보고 완성시키는 것을 뜻한다. 홉스테드는 문화에 대해서 지울 수 없는 정신 소프트웨어라고 말한 바 있다. 문화는 인간 공동체 내에서 생성되며 문화의 산물인 유용성의 산출(산업 제품들)은 공동체의 필요에 의해 만들어지고 또 역으로 만들어진 유용성의 산출이 인간 문화 생활에 영향을 미친다. 한 인간 공동체가 가진 문화에 적합한 철도 실내를 디자인하기 위해서는 철도 차량 실내의 문화적 요소와 그 내부에서 사물과 사람이 가지는 관계에 대해 규명해볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 홉스테드(Hofstede)의 5가지 문화 차원과 애드워드 홀(Edward Hall)의 10가지 문화 요소 모델을 토대로 한 통합 문화 이론 모델을 기초로 하여 철도차량 실내 공간을 규명하고자 하였다. 또한 프랑스에서 제작된 KTX가 한국 이동 문화에서 어떻게 사용되는지 관찰 조사하고 TGV와의 비교 평가를 통하여 한국 철도 차량 실내 디자인의 가이드라인을 도출하였다.

  • 디지털미디어의 상호작용성의 특징은 전통적인 스토리텔링을 변화시켜 디지털 스토리텔링이라는 새로운 개념으로 자리 잡고 있다. 게임 스토리텔링은 영화나 애니메이션의 전개방식과는 달리 개방형스토리 전개방식(open ended design)을 택하고 있으며, 플레이어 캐릭터(player character)의 선택(player's decision)에 따라 무한개의 스토리를 만들어 낼 수 있다. 가장 스토리 중심적인 RPG장르에서 캐릭터를 중심으로 한게임 스토리텔링 구조를 제안하고, 다양한 스토리 밸류(Story value)를 가지고 디자인되어 있는 캐릭터들이 게임 스토리텔링 구조(Game Storytelling Structure) 속에서 플레이어의 흥미와 몰입을 가져오는 배경이야기(Background Story), 판타지적인 게임월드(Game World)과 그 속에서 발생하는 사건(Event)들과 어떻게 상호작용하는지 사례를 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구는 예측 가능한 게임 메카닉(game mechanics)설계와 특별한 목표를 가지고 있는 게임인 경우 게임 플레이를 통제할 수 있는 수단이 되는 필수적인 작업이다.

  • In this era of ubiquitous service, a computing device has functions similar with human beings. It influences all major fields of human life, such as clothing, dieting and housing. In order to use the coordination functions of the magic mirror, which might be a basic part of clothing in the era of ubiquitous service, this study concentrates on product information that should be inputted in RFID chip in detail in order to exercise virtual fashion coordination. Information should be inputted in RFID chip to use magic mirror for fashion coordination, a direction for doing this was also suggested. After coding the suggested clothing items, virtual fashion coordination was implemented as a fashion illustration. This study is as following, First, sorts standard code for suitable coordination in 4 images and presented to a proof. Code denoted by 10 characters. Each code literal special quality marks by two characters and divided by season, image, fabric, item, rotor, five items. Item middle of characters of 10 code, when agree on article more than 8, coordination is enabled. Secondely, It is presented by coordination to dressing action picture by suitable coordination classified apart in whole occasions, and coordination method by wearer inclination is remembered wearer's dressing action picture to Magic mirror including layered look. Thirdly, wardrobe of Magic mirror clothes that always buy newly in magic mirror, is washing and clothes that do not take to wardrobe did to be controlled. Fourth, Wealth and schedule is suggested firster than wearer's dressing action.
