It have been proceeded that research of analysis of extrusion process using porthole die. recently it is performed partly through the finite element method in the non steady state that design variables. The subject of this research is integrity improvement of speaker body which is being produced by porthole die extrusion in my country. Extrusion load of speaker case, and welding pressure of billet in the chamber are estimated by the means of rigid-plasticity finite element method. And then extrusion of trial was performed to estimate the validity of FE analysis.

This study aims at investigating the relationship between voice and the image information carried within the voice. Whenever we hear somebody talking, we form a mental image of the speaker. Is it accurate? Is there a relationship between the voice and the image triggered by the voice? To answer these questions, speech samples form 8 males and 8 females were recorded. Two photos were taken for each speaker: the whole body photo (W) with physical characteristics present, and the face close-ups (F) without much physical details revealed. 361 subjects were asked to match the voices with the corresponding photos. The results showed that 5 males and 5 f3males (with W) and 2 males and 4 females (with F) were correctly identified. More interestingly, however, even in the mismatches, there was a strong tendency for participants to agree on which voice should correspond to which photo. The participants also agreed much more readily on their favorite voice than on their favorite photo. It seems voice does carry certain information about the physical characteristics of the speaker in a consistent manner. These findings have some bearings on understanding the mechanism of speech production and perception as well as on improving speech technology.

Recently the trend of automobile industry is that IQS evaluation index against a sensitivity quality is increasing. To reduce rattle noise due to speaker sound at low frequencies, it is required the advanced technology analysis process of body structure. This paper optimized the design parameters of package tray panel according to the theoretical background about robust design and suggested the design guideline for resonance avoidance and the reduction of vibrational sensitivity considering the excitation frequency of woofer speaker. And this paper described the design process of a door module panel through the sensitivity analysis in case of the door speaker excitation. Finally, the analysis of the quality deviation using mother car is suggested to guarantee the stable characteristics of vehicle vibration in the early stage of vehicle development. These improvements can lead to shortening the time needed to develop better vehicles.

비언어적 의사소통 수단은 언어적 의사소통을 보조하고 대체한다는 점에서 매우 중요하다. 다양한 비언어적 의사소통 수단 중 신체언어는 몸을 통한 의사소통 전반을 말한다. 애니메이션의 경우, 시나리오 전달에 있어서 캐릭터가 가장 중요한 역할을 하므로 이와 같은 신체언어 연출은 매우 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 애니메이션의 의사소통 구조는 일반적인 의사소통 구조와는 달리 이중적인 의사소통 구조를 가지는데, 첫째는 화자 캐릭터와 청자 캐릭터 사이의 의사소통이고, 둘째는 영상과 관객 간의 의사소통으로 이는 첫 번째 의사소통 구조까지 모두 포함한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 이중적 구조에 기반하여 애니메이션의 의사소통 구조를 담화내적, 담화외적 구조로 나누고, 기능적 분류법을 이용하여 캐릭터의 신체언어를 적응, 상징, 설명, 조정, 감정표현 행위로 분류하였다. 특히 본 연구의 분석 애니메이션에서 큰 비중을 차지한 설명행위는 화용론적 분류인 발화 행위론으로 세분화하였다. 그리고 분류된 각각의 신체언어를 분석하여 애니메이션에서 표현되는 신체언어의 특징을 규명하고, 효과적인 시나리오 전달과 관객의 감정이입을 도울 수 있는 효율적인 신체언어를 제안하고자 하였다.

This paper aims to explore how Millay's love sonnets rewrite the carpe diem tradition in the complicated ways. This paper redirects critical attention away from Millay's individual experience and inner self toward the scene of literary history, suggesting that there may be more historical consciousness in Millay's sentimental and feminine "gesture." Rewriting the carpe diem tradition, Millay's sonnets reveal an awareness of the dependence of the carpe diem poems' discursive logic on the woman's coyness, its inability to accomplish its triumph over woman or time (death) without her posited reluctance. Contrary to Andrew Marvel's "To His Coy Mistress," the speakers of Millay's sonnets could never be accused of the sexual coyness; they are outspoken in their defiance of both death and lovers whose possessiveness resembles death's embrace. Moreover, as Stacy Carson Hubbard points out, by converting female sexual experience from its status as a onetime closural event to repeatable one, hence an opportunity for the general and emotional irritability productive of narrative, Millay seizes for the woman the power of "dilation" in both its sexual and its verbal forms. Furthermore, this paper argues that the woman's sex no longer invites analogies to things secret and sealed, preserved or ruined in Millay's sonnets. The woman's promiscuity implies a rejection of monumentalizing love, as well as a refusal of the fixing inherent in the carpe diem's fearful invocation of the movement of time. Throughout the love sonnets, the speaker's sexualized body produces nothing but ephemera. For Millay, this body spends its powers in hopes of having them, and the force of this spending is a perpetual and willful forgetting, which makes possible the repetition of love's story. Ultimately, Milly disturbs our critical categories by rendering permeable boundaries between modern literature and dead form of classic literature, the female speaker and male speaker.

A telerobot offers a more engaging and enjoyable interaction with people at a distance by communicating via audio, video, expressive gestures, body pose and proxemics. To provide its potential benefits at a reasonable cost, this paper presents a telepresence robot system for video communication which can deliver speaker's head motion through its display stanchion. Head gestures such as nodding and head-shaking can give crucial information during conversation. We also can assume a speaker's eye-gaze, which is known as one of the key non-verbal signals for interaction, from his/her head pose. In order to develop an efficient head tracking method, a 3D cylinder-like head model is employed and the Harris corner detector is combined with the Lucas-Kanade optical flow that is known to be suitable for extracting 3D motion information of the model. Especially, a skin color-based face detection algorithm is proposed to achieve robust performance upon variant directions while maintaining reasonable computational cost. The performance of the proposed head tracking algorithm is verified through the experiments using BU's standard data sets. A design of robot platform is also described as well as the design of supporting systems such as video transmission and robot control interfaces.

This paper examines the meaning and significance of the rebirths narrated in Sylvia Plath's "Lady Lazarus." While the previous readings of the poem have regarded the speaker's rebirth as a single event, this paper aims to understand its plurality and the underlying problem of language and sound by listening to the poet's own reading of the poem. I argue first that the sound structure of the poem can be characterized by the poet's unique employment of vowel sounds. Drawing upon Plath's another poem entitled "Morning Song" and Julia Kristeva's concept of the chora, I contend that the poet's vowels signal her desire for regression to the pre-Oedipal space where sound and body are in direct contact without the interference of language. It is my conclusion that the rebirths in "Lady Lazarus" dramatize the poet's ongoing struggle to bypass the symbolic language in order to make her body heard.

멀티미디어 강의실에서는 자동 강의 저장뿐 아니라 카메라의 추적도 자동으로 추적하여 저장되도록 발전하고 있다. 기존의 추적 시스템은 별도의 센서를 몸에 부착하여 추적하거나 전면에 센서를 시공하여 추적하는 불편함이 있었고 동시에 여러명이 전면에 나타나면 에러가 발생하여 추적이 안된다거나 하는 문제점이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 Microsoft-Kinect 센서를 이용하여 화자(강사)의 위치 및 행동을 분석하며, 이를 PTZ 카메라 및 강의 저장 수업녹화 시스템과 연동하여 강의실 수업 녹화시에 효과적인 콘텐츠 생산을 가능하도록 하는 무인화자 추적 솔루션에 대하여 기술하였다.

This paper aims to examine distribution and patterns of Women(我們) on Chinese conversation textbook, and also suggest that Chinese class need to impose pragmatic perspective. For this purpose, this paper explores 35 Womens in 42 conversation units on three Chinese textbooks Hanyu Kouyu vol.1~3 at first. Women is more contributed on 'exclusive Women' among three categories (inclusive, exclusive, borrowed) than other two categories, is also contributed on 'symbolic usage' than 'gestural usage'. Second, this paper examines patterns of Women on the three categories. It shows: first, 'inclusive Women', 'exclusive Women', 'borrowed Women' all show up on the textbooks even though on the textbook vol.1(for beginner) surprisingly; Second, 'exclusive Women' may be a primary one of three categories in terms of the coverage of Women. Women covers those who are related with the speaker regardless of being on the spot, and also covers those which the speaker belongs to, for example, nationality, ethnicity etc. Consequently, the results show that Chinese speaking course, from now on, needs to consider pragmatic factors including existing semantic and syntactic factors, and from the pragmatic perspective, impose 'action'(including speech act, body gesture etc.) on Chinese conversation class for the learners' improvement in Chinese speaking.

A remote controlled robotic system using the Internet is proposed in this paper. The robotic system can for example act as a substitute for a child who is staying in a hospital. Using the proposed robotic system, the bedridden child can easily look around the inside of his/her classroom, and can talk to other people. The proposed robotic system will encourage a bedridden child to maintain his/her study habits. The robotic system has a CCD camera, a speaker, a microphone, and a PC display on the robot main body.
