영국 치안기구의 역할분담에 관한 고찰 (A study on the Role Sharing Policing Organization in Britain)

  • Not only has there been movement along the sectoral continuum, Johnston argues, but changes in the spatial balance of policing are also visible. More concretely, he suggests that British policing has been undergoing a century-long process that has gathered pace since the 1960s. Three factors have been central to this process. First, legislative centralization brought about by the Police Act 1964 - which established the tripartite structure for police governance and amalgamated forces - and the Local Government Act 1972 which reorganized local government. Secondly, the political and industrial unrest of the 1970s and early 1980s led to the establishment of new levels of national police co-operation and, in the words of one author, to the establishment of a 'de facto national police force'. Thirdly, increasing European influence has further internationalized police co-operation and organization. Johnston concludes that the spatial restructuring that appears to be taking place in British policing is indicative of a broader process of fragmentation of social structures and systems for maintaining order.

반송파 기반 센서리스 운전에서 주입하는 신호의 주파수에 따른 위치 추정 성능 분석 (Analysis on Position Estimation Performance according to Injection Frequency in Carrier-Based Sensorless Operation)

  • This work puts forward a theoretical analysis on position estimation performance of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) according to the injection frequency in carrier-based sensorless operation. The effects of spatial harmonics on inductance and voltage distortion due to the nonideal characteristics of IPMSM and inverter are examined as factors influencing the position estimation performance. Furthermore, the position estimation performance is analyzed by calculating the current at the switching instant in several operating conditions. In summary, the half switching frequency injection is more robust to the nonideal characteristics of IPMSM, especially with light load condition. The validity of the analysis is verified by the simulation and experimental results.

MPEG Surround Extension Technique for MPEG-H 3D Audio

  • In this paper, we introduce extension tools for MPEG Surround, which were recently adopted as MPEG-H 3D Audio tools by the ISO/MPEG standardization group. MPEG-H 3D Audio is a next-generation technology for representing spatial audio in an immersive manner. However, considerably large numbers of input signals can degrade the compression performance during a low bitrate operation. The proposed extension of MPEG Surround was basically designed based on the original MPEG Surround technology, where the limitations of MPEG Surround were revised by adopting a new coding structure. The proposed MPEG-H 3D Audio technologies will play a pivotal role in dramatically improving the sound quality during a lower bitrate operation.

USING GIS TO IMPROVE ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION PLANNING

  • The planning process for roadway construction involves a large amount of information on design, construction methods, quantities, unit costs, production rates, and site conditions. Therefore, it is very important to acquire, manage, and process the necessary information efficiently to produce a rigorous construction plan. GIS (Geographic Information System) is a very effective tool for integrating and managing various types of information including spatial and non-spatial data required for roadway construction planning. This paper proposes a GIS-based system for improving roadway construction planning with its 'Interactive Space Scheduling' and 'Operation Level Planning' functions. The proposed system can assist construction planners in a unique way by integrating design and construction information and creating modularized design elements for space scheduling in real time. It is expected that the proposed system could improve the efficiency of roadway construction planning.

  • This research develops a methodology for standard design of spatial Database utilizing the disaster ethnography. Especially, the disaster response operation is sensitive to the size of the disaster, location, damage situation, resource a variability, etc. Moreover, there are many unknown and unexpected factors that will affect the disaster response strategy. But, the future Crisis Management Systems is needed that past disaster teaching. In another words, from now on the response systems need to prepare several scenarios and spatial data and manual etc. before the disaster. Then, this research is the experimental research which examined the relationship between the disaster-ethnography and the GIS spatial data of disaster.

  • 농협 연쇄점을 정보화로 인한 商的 유통의 합리화와 재고 집약형 대규모 물류센터의 다극화로 물적 유통 의 집약화가 이루어져 유통의 효율성을 높였고, 수송도 외부수주로 이루어지고 있다. 이에 따라 생활용품과 농산물의 배송방식은 각각 루트배송과 정시 일괄배송으로 상품의 특성에 따라 그 배송권이 형성되었다. 한편 상품 판매활동에 의한 공간적 특성은 답작농업의 발달과 서비스업 취업 정도에 따라 판매 상품류의 구성이 결정된다는 점이 밝혀졌다. 그러나 일상생왈 상품인 가공 식품류와 잡화류는 농협 연쇄점이 입지한 지역유형에 영향을 받지 않고 판매된다는 점이 규명되었다.

Deregulation Necessity for the Invigoration of Drone Utilization in the Geospatial Information Field

  • In this study, a direction for deregulation that can increase the use of drones in the field of spatial information is presented. Regulations and administrative procedures for drone operation showed similar procedures in Japan, the United States, and Korea, such as reporting flight equipment, driver's license, and prohibition of flying within a specific flight zone. In the United States, policies to encourage the use of commercial drones have been implemented, and Japan has slightly tightened regulations on drone operation to protect the Olympics and important national facilities. As a result of the study, in the area where drone operation is restricted for geospatial data construction, Korea was setting the largest area, and GIS analysis showed that Korea's drone flight restricted area was more than 19.4% of the country's land area. In order to increase the utilization of drones in the construction and utilization of spatial information in the future, it is necessary to reset the drone flight restriction zone and reduce the area of the drone flight restriction zone. In addition, it was found that Korea is the only country that has formal and specific regulations on geospatial information security management. In order to increase the construction of geospatial information using drones, it is necessary to ease GSD (Ground Sample Distance)regulations.

공간 객체 관리 시스템에서 래스터 데이터를 위한 지리정보 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Implementation of a Geographic Information System for the Raster Data in Spatial Object Management Systems)

  • 지리 정보에 관련된 많은 시스템이 벡터 데이터만을 다루고 있으나 정보의 종류에 따라 벡터 데이터 뿐 아니라 래스터 데이터를 다루는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 OMEGA라는 공간 객체 관리 시스템에서 래스터 형태의 공간 정보를 처리하는 래스터 처리기를 설계하고 구현한다. 먼저 공간 객체 관리 시스템의 저장 시스템 안에 저장될 래스터 정보의 데이터 구조를 정의하고, 이를 클래스 라이브러리의 형태로 구현하여 응용 애플리케이션의 작성 시 사용할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고, 래스터 정보를 추출하기 위한 질의문 작성에 포함되는 질의 연산 및 관련 모듈을 구현하고 이를 공간 객체 관리 시스템의 질의 수행기에 삽입하여 래스터 정보에 대한 질의를 처리할 수 있도록 하였다. 마지막으로, 실험에 대한 결과도 제시한다.

제약 데이터베이스에서의 효율적인 공간질의 처리 (Efficient Spatial Query Processing in Constraint Databases)

  • 제약 데이터베이스의 투플은 제약 논리식으로 구성되었으며, 공간 데이터의 표현 및 질의를 비교적 간결하게 처리할 수 있다. 제약 데이터베이스를 통한 공간 데이터의 실렉션, 합집합, 교집합 등의 질의 연산 처리는 간단하게 관련 투플 간에 제약식을 포함시켜 주면 된다. 그러나 중복되거나 불필요한 데이터가 증가할 수 있으며, 그에 따른 질의 비용이 증가될 수도 있다. 이 논문에서는 제약 데이터베이스에서의 질의처리 결과에 대한 문제점을 밝히고, 효율적인 질의처리를 위해서 결과 릴레이션에 대한 투플 최소화 정리기법의 제안 및 그 효과를 분석했다. 우리는 투플 최소화 기법을 이용하여 제약 릴레이션의 불필요한 제약식을 제거함에 따른 질의처리의 효율성이 개선됨을 확인할 수 있었다.
