통계분석을 이용한 새만금호의 수질특성 평가 (Evaluation of Water Quality Characteristics of Saemangeum Lake Using Statistical Analysis)

  • 새만금호는 우리나라 최대의 인공호수로 호수의 수질은 갈수록 악화되어 가고 있어 호수의 특성에 맞는 새로운 수질관리 대책이 필요하다. 이에 새만금호의 국가수질측정망 자료를 이용하여 통계분석 기법에 의한 새만금호의 시공간적 수질특성을 분석하였다. 수질항목간의 상관성에서 수온과 TP는 상관성이 있고, 염분과 TN, 그리고 pH와 COD가 상관성이 높았다. 그 외 항목들 간에는 낮은 상관성을 나타내어 관련성이 낮았다. 주성분 분석을 이용한 새만금호의 공간적 수질특성을 보면, 크게 4개의 그룹으로 구분되었는데, 담수 영향구역과 해수 영향구역, 해수와 담수가 혼합되는 중간 수역이 2개 그룹으로 구분되어 각각 다른 수질특성을 나타내었다. 주성분분석을 이용한 시간적 수질특성은 계절적으로 4가지 그룹으로 구분되었다. 그룹I은 늦봄과 초여름에 해당되는 5, 6월이고, 그룹 II는 계절적으로 초봄(3, 4월)과 늦가을(11, 12월)에 해당되는 시기로 나타났으며, 그룹 III은 낮은 수온에 의한 용존산소의 증가가 나타나는 계절인 겨울철(1, 2월)의 수질 특성을 보였고, 그룹 IV는 하계(7, 8, 9, 10월) 성층의 발달로 저층 퇴적물의 높은 인농도와 하계 고수온의 상관성을 가지는 그룹으로 구분되었다. 이는 새만금호가 인위적으로 조성된 호수로써 상류 만경강과 동진강의 유입 영향을 받는 것과 동시에 새만금 방조제에 설치된 가력과 신시갑문을 통한 외해수 유입의 영향을 받음으로써 수질의 변동요소가 달라진 것으로 평가된다. 새만금호의 목표수질을 달성하기 위해서는 상류 유역의 오염원 관리 대책과 함께 새만금호의 수질관리 대책을 수립할 필요가 있다.

수중문화유산에 대한 지구물리탐사 기법 활용 동향 분석 (Analysis of trends in the use of geophysical exploration techniques for underwater cultural heritage)

  • 우리나라는 지형적으로 바다로 둘러싸여 있으며 내륙 곳곳에 바다로 이어지는 강들이 분포한다. 이러한 지형 특성에 의해 예로부터 바다를 통하여 세계 여러 나라와 교류 및 해전이 있었으며 강에서는 나루터를 두어 세금으로 지불되는 곡식, 물품을 운송하는 선박 운항 및 승객 수송을 하는 등 바다와 강은 과거부터 우리나라의 삶에 많은 영향을 주었다. 그로 인해 바다나 강 속에는 많은 문화유산이 존재하고 있을 것으로 예상되며 이러한 문화유산은 과거의 사회와 문화 이해 및 한 국가의 정체성을 나타내므로 이를 찾기 위한 노력이 계속되고 있다. 하지만, 수중문화유산은 바다나 강 속에 있어 육안 관찰의 어려움과 접근이 제한된 환경으로 인해 발견하기가 매우 어렵다. 이와 같은 문제를 극복하기 위해 지구물리탐사 기법을 활용할 수 있다. 지구물리탐사 기법은 탄성파의 반사와 굴절의 물리적 성질을 이용해 수중지형조사, 수중저면조사 및 지층조사를 수행하여 수중에 있는 물체나 지층이 갖는 물리적 특성을 감지하고 그 차이를 분석하여 수저면 위에 놓여 있거나 매장되어 있는 수중문화유산을 조사한다. 수중지형 조사에는 음향측심기를 사용하고 수중저면조사에는 측면주사음파탐지기를 사용해 수저면에 놓여 있거나 일부 노출된 수중문화유산을 탐사할 수 있다. 지층조사는 탄성파지층탐사기를 사용해 해저에 매장되어 있는 수중문화유산을 찾을 수 있다. 다만, 현재까지는 국내에서 발견된 수중문화유산은 어로 작업 중이던 어부나, 낙지잡이, 잠수사에 의해 우연히 발견되었다. 본 연구에서는 수중문화유산 탐사를 목적으로 수행된 지구물리탐사 기반의 수중지형조사, 수중저면조사 및 지층조사에 대한 최신 해외 연구 동향을 분석 정리해 국내의 수중문화유산 탐사 기법 연구에 기여하고자 한다.

가막만 표층퇴적물중 유기물량의 시.공간적 분포 특성 (The Spatio-temporal Distribution of Organic Matter on the Surface Sediment and Its Origin in Gamak Bay, Korea)

  • 가막만 표층퇴적물중 유기물량의 시 공간적 분포 특성 및 기원을 파악하고자 2000년 4윌부터 2002년 3월까지월간격으로 현장조사를 실시하였다. 강열감량(IL)은 $4.6{\sim}11.6%(7.1{\pm}1.6%)$, 화학적산소요구량(CODs)은 $2.25{\sim}99.26mgO_2/g-dry(30.98{\pm}19.09mgO_2/g-dry)$, 총 황화물량(AVS)은 $nd{\sim}10.29mgS/g-dry(1.02{\pm}0.58mgS/g-dry)$, 식물색소량은(phaeopigment) $6.84{\sim}116.18{\mu}g/g-dry(23.72{\pm}21.16{\mu}g/g-dry)$, 입자성유기탄소(POC)는 $5.45{\sim}23.24 mgC/g-dty(10.34{\pm}4.40C\;mgC/g-dry)$, 입자성유기질소(PON)는 $0.71{\sim}2.99mgN/g-dry(1.37{\pm}0.58mgN/g-dry)$, 함수율(water content)은 $43.1{\sim}77.6%(55.8{\pm}5.6%)$의 범위를 나타냈으며 펄 함량(mud content)은 모든 정점에서 95% 이상의 값을 나타냈다. 유기물질의 공간적인 분포는 북서 내만역, 만 중앙부와 동쪽해역 그리고 남쪽만 입구역으로 대별되어, 북서 내만역과 남쪽 만 입구역은 만 중앙부와 동쪽해역 및 백야도 인근해역보다 대부분 항목에서 높은 유기물 농도를 나타내었다. 특히 북서 내만역은 과도한 양식활동에 따른 과잉의 유기물 공급, 육상으로부터 생활하수 및 산업폐수 유입, 분지형태의 지형적 특성에 의한 물질의 장기체류로 유기오염이 매우 심각하게 나타났다. 그리고 그로인한 하계 수온약층에 의한 저층의 무산 소 환경이 형성되고 있다. 경시적인 변동양상은 북서 내만역과 남쪽 만 입구역에서 저수온기보다 고수온기에 주로 높은 농도를 보였다. 반면에 만 중앙부와 동쪽해역은 각 항목에서 변동양상의 일정한 규칙성은 보여지지 않으나 황 화물을 제외하면 주로 저수온기에 더 높은 농도를 나타내었다. 황화물 농도는 모든 정점에서 고수온기에 더 높게 나타났으며, 특히 만 중앙부와 동쪽해역은 화학적산소요구량이 $20mgO_2/g-dry$을 넘는 경우 고수온기를 중심으로 일시적인 황화물 증가양상이 나타났다. 가막만 표층퇴적물중 유기물질의 기원은 C/N 비가 평균 8 이하로, 육상기원보다 해양기원 유기물에 의한 것으로 나타났으나, POC/phaeopigment 비로부터 유기물 조성에 있어서 살아있는 식물플랑크톤보다 유기쇄설물이 우점하며, CODs/IL 비로부터 유기쇄설물은 해양자체 순환에 의해 생산되는 것보다 양식활동에서 발생하는 잉여사료와 생물의 배설물 등 인위적 활동에 의한 부분이 높은 것으로 추정되었다.

곡성 동악산 청류구곡(淸流九曲)의 형태 및 의미론적 특성 (Characteristic on the Layout and Semantic Interpretation of Chungryu-Gugok, Dongaksan Mountain, Gokseong)

  • 동악산 청류구곡 일원은 아름다운 계류를 따라 와폭(臥瀑)과 담(潭), 소(沼), 대(臺) 등의 암반경관과 성리문화의 전형으로 향유되어온 구곡문화가 실증적으로 대입된 사례로, 1872년 곡성현 지방도에서 "삼남제일암반계류 청류동(三南第一巖盤溪流 淸流洞)"으로 명기된 바와 같이 풍치가 탁월한 승경처임을 보여준다. 경물(景物)과 경구(警句)가 육로와 수로에 쌍으로 설정되어 차별성을 갖는 청류구곡은 일제강점기인 1916년 이전, 정순태와 조병순의 주도로 설정된 것으로 판단되지만 성리학자들은 물론 불교지도자, 독립운동가 등 선현들의 장구처 등이 다수 발견되는 것으로 볼 때 오래전부터 명인(名人)들의 산수탐방과 은일처로 활용된 것으로 추정된다. 도림사계곡의 기반암 암상에 구성된 청류구곡은 산지형 하천으로 총 길이 약 1.2km, 평균 곡거리 149m로 국내 여타 구곡에 비해 짧은 것으로 나타났다. 전남지역에서 유일하게 확증된 동악산 3개 구곡의 바위글씨는 총 165건으로 국내에서 가장 많은 바위글씨의 집결지로 판단된다. 특히 112개소로 집계된 청류구곡 바위글씨의 내용 분석결과, '수신(修身)'의 의미가 49점(43.8%)으로 가장 많았으며 다음으로 '인명' 21건(18.8%), '경물' 16건(14.2%), 장구처 등 장구지소' 12건(10.6%) 등이었고 '시구(詩句)'가 차지하는 비율은 6건(3.6%)으로 나타났다. 육로상의 제1곡 쇄연문과 수로상의 제9곡 제시인간별유천(除是人間別有天)은 박세화(朴世和)가 충북 제천에 설정한 용하구곡(用夏九曲)의 제1곡 홍단연쇄(虹斷烟鎖) 및 제9곡 제시인간별유천과 일치하는 것으로 동일한 시원(始原)을 갖는 구곡명으로 유추된다. 또한 육로상 제6곡 대은병(大隱屛)은 주자 무이구곡의 제7곡과 일치하는 것으로 구곡원림의 거점으로 인식되며, 7곡과 8곡 사이의 '암서재(巖棲齋)'와 '포경재(抱經齋)' 바위글씨와 석축 흔적 등은 무이구곡 은병봉 아래 무이정사와 비견되는 것으로, 기호사림의 청류동 활동거점으로 파악된다. 선사어제(鮮史御帝), 보가효우(保家孝友, 고종), 사무사(思無邪, 명나라 의종), 백세청풍(百世淸風, 주자), 청류수석 동악풍경(흥선 대원군) 등 명인들의 명구들이 망라된 동악산 구곡은 높은 유가미학적 가치를 표출함은 물론 의미론적 상징문화경관의 보고라 할 수 있다. 아울러 청류구곡은 수심양성을 위한 유가적 가치체계와 불교 및 도교적 관념 등이 공존하는 유불선(儒彿仙) 3교 문화경관의 결집체로 특성이 부각된다. 청류구곡은 최익현(崔益鉉), 전우(田愚), 기우만(奇宇萬), 송병선(宋秉璿), 황현(黃玹) 등으로 대변되는 조선 후기 사림계층이 성리학의 도통의식을 계승하고 '위정척사'와 '존왕양이(尊王攘夷)', '항일의지 고취' 등의 수단으로 설정되고 활용하는 과정에서 배태(胚胎)된 항일 역사문화 항쟁의 거점으로서 장소성과 의미론적 특성에 충일하다.

대전광역시 노령화 지구의 공간적 분포 패턴 (Spatial Distribution of Aging District in Taejeon Metropolitan City)

  • 본 연구는 중부지역의 중심지로 발전하고 있는 대전광역시를 대상으로 노령화 지구의 공간적 분포 패턴을 분석하고자 하였다. 그 결과 노령화 지구는 대전광역시 CBD지역과 CBD인접지역, 그리고 주변지역간에 뚜렷한 차이를 나타내고 있으며, 그 분포에 있어서도 양극화 현상이 뚜렷함을 확인하였다. 그리고 인구감소지구는 노령화지구와 대체로 중복되어 있고, 비노령인구의 전출에 의하여 노령인구비율이 높아지고 있으며, 인구증가지구는 노령화 지구와 전혀 중복되어 나타나지 않고, 비노령인구의 전입에 의해 노령인구비율이 낮아지고 있다. 인구이동에 의한 노령인구의 증가여부를 확인하기 위하여 각 그룹별로 연령 코호트 분석방법을 이용하여 노령화 지구의 출현요인을 분석한 결과, 인구노령화의 진행 은 인구의 사회적 증감률 변화와 매우 밀접하게 관련되어 있고, 특히 비노령인구의 전출에 의해 노령인구비율이 높아지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. CBD지역과 CBD인접지역을 포함한 중심시가지에서는 결혼, 새로운 주택취득에 의한 세대분리 등의 전출, 즉, 비노령인구의 전출이 인구노령화를 촉진하는 주요인이 되고 있고, 반면 주변지역에서는 비노령인구의 지구의로의 전출뿐 아니라 새롭게 노령인구로 편입되어져 가는 연령층 인구와 사망률의 저하에 따른 평균수명의 연장으로 인한 노령인구의 절대적 증대가 인구노령화를 촉진하는 요인으로 작용하고 있다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. To use as the structural matrix of the composite, collagen was purified from human umbilical cord.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.
