  • A housing market in an urban area is not just a single market but a combination of regionally different submarkets. This study begins with a critical mind that previous researches did not consider the spatial autocorrelation of each area where the housings are located. The clustering analysis of housing submarket which considers spatial autocorrelation is performed as it follows. First, 4 housing market attribute variables are reducted to 1 variable by principle component analysis. Then, after calculating $Gi^*max$ by AMOEBA, 7 housing submarkets which have similar characteristics based on $Gi^*max$ are classified. The characteristics of each submarket are investigated, then political implication is deduced as the following. Different level of housing policy should be made to each cluster because each cluster has different level of spatial autocorrelation.

  • Under the dual pressure of population growth and land shortage, threedimensional development is the inevitable choice for cities in China. In such a scenario, a mixed-use complex has considerable potential in its realization and research. Based on space syntax and the three-dimensional visibility graph analysis, this paper describes the spatial and functional layout of the Shanghai Super Brand Mall and studies the relationship between spatial visibility and user behaviour through linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. This paper studies three different types of user behaviour, namely, path selection, staying selection, and store selection, and finds that spatial visibility and accessibility have different effects on user behaviour depending on the type and purpose of the activity. This paper reveals the influence of spatial and functional layout on user behaviour and puts forward the corresponding design strategy under the three-dimensional environment.

  • This study analyzes spatial density and integration of Space Syntax and Discrete Event Simulation (DEVS) of complex system theory and analyzes spatial structure by property, type and depth. The aim of this study is to secure the validity of the theoretical application. The study evaluated the correlation between spatial density and integration by setting up eight types of analysis models. In addition, analyzed the correlation of structural characteristics and approached the application of discrete event simulation of spatial syntax theory. It is confirmed that the concept of integration of spatial syntax theory and analysis using discrete event simulation are valid as new spatial analysis methodology. Also expect that realistic and concrete predictions will be possible if discrete event simulation evolves into research for space allocation and space efficiency optimization.

  • One of the key problems in the design of high-rise commercial complex is how to guide reasonable pedestrian distribution in commercial space. In this study, pedestrian distribution in three high-rise commercial complexes in Shanghai and Hong Kong was studied using spatial configuration analysis software Space Syntax and quantification of physical elements in commercial spaces, such as functional attractiveness, entrances, escalators, level variations and passage width. Additionally, in an attempt to integrate functions with spatial integration and spatial depth, two combination variables, the spatial coefficient of function (IF) and spatial depth coefficient of function (F/D), were proposed. The results of the correlation analysis and multiple regression analyses reflected the following: (1) Regarding the influence on pedestrian distribution, there was a synergistic and complementary relationship between function and space; (2) The comprehensive flow distribution analytic model could successfully interpret flow distribution in high-rise commercial complexes and its R Square ranged up to about 70% in the three cases; (3) The spatial coefficient of function (IF) and spatial depth coefficient (F/D) could effectively integrate functions and spatial configuration, which could help close the gap between over-emphasis on function in commercial research and the lack of consideration of function in space-syntax analysis.

  • Population is important as a fundamental element of local industry and economy, and census data is essential to regional planning and policy making. Although there have been many researches on population and regional planning, there are few studies on population considering spatial unit. In this study, the population of three spatial scales were compared in order to establish the spatial unit suitable for the rural planning. The study area is Gangwon, Chungcheong-Nam, Chungcheong-Buk, Jeolla-Nam, Jeolla-Buk, Gyeonsang-Nam, Gyeonsang-Buk and Jeju province. Population were compared using statistical data analysis, GIS visualization, and spatial statistics. The mean, maximum, minimum, and variance of population were calculated and the coefficient of variation according to spatial unit was compared. The mean, maximum, minimum, and variance of population were calculated and the coefficient of variation according to spatial unit was compared. As the results, the census output area unit is difficult to interpret spatial analysis results. Administrative district unit has the limit that includes areas where the population does not live. The grid unit is well suited to the geographical characteristics but has many disadvantages of the grid with small population. Therefore, It is necessary to complement the limits of the Eup and Myeon-dong administrative district through the grid unit data.

  • One of the spatial statistical analysis, hotspot analysis is one of easy method of see spatial patterns. It is based on the concept that "Adjacent ones are more relevant than those that are far away". However, in hotspot analysis is spatial adjacency must be considered, Therefore, distributed processing is not easy. In this paper, we proposed a distributed algorithm design for hotspot spatial analysis. Its performance was compared to standalone system and Hadoop, Spark based processing. As a result, it is compare to standalone system, Performance improvement rate of Hadoop at 625.89% and Spark at 870.14%. Furthermore, performance improvement rate is high at Spark processing than Hadoop at as more large data set.

  • This article presents a multi-dimensional spatial pattern analysis of crime events in San Francisco. Our analysis includes the impact of spatial resolution on hotspot identification, temporal effects in crime spatial patterns, and relationships between various crime categories. In this work, crime prediction is viewed as a classification problem. When predictions for a particular category are made, a binary classification-based model is framed, and when all categories are considered for analysis, a multiclass model is formulated. The proposed crime-prediction model (HotBlock) utilizes spatiotemporal analysis for predicting crime in a fixed spatial region over a period of time. It is robust under variation of model parameters. HotBlock's results are compared with baseline real-world crime datasets. It is found that the proposed model outperforms the standard DeepCrime model in most cases.

  • Analysis and sharing of spatial information can be made possible through the reuse of spatial analysis processes, and the sharing of spatial models on the web. However, the deployment of spatial analysis models is possible, only when the difficult tasks of model design and the exchange of spatial data are overcome. In this study, a WPS spatial analysis model is defined, based on the OGC standards, and applied to the 'Selection of Housing Units for Water Supply' application. BPEL was used to define the sequence of processes and to enable the exchange of spatial data. To this end, WSDL was defined for WPS and WFS accesses, the sequence of spatial processes was defined in BPEL, and XSLT was defined for the exchange of XML data. The WPS model was designed and deployed using the Apache ODE which provides RESTful binding. It is expected that effective decision making will be easier using the web based spatial analysis models which are realized by WPS Orchestration with BPEL, as presented in this study.
