Although spatial databases support an efficient spatial management on objects in the real world, they have a characteristic that process only spatial information valid at current time, So in case of change in the spatial domain, it is very hard to support an efficient historical management for time-varying spatial information because they delete an old value and then replace with new value that is valid at current time. To solve these problems, there are rapidly increasing of interest for spatiotemporal databases, which serve historical functions for spatial information as well as spatial management functions for an object. However most of them presented in an abstract time-varying spatial phenomenon, but have not presented a concrete policy in spatiotemporal databases. In this paper, we propose a spatiotemporal data model that supports bitemporal time concepts in three dimensional architecture. In the proposed model, not only data types and their operation for object of spatiotemporal databases have been classified, but also mathematical expressions using formal semantics for them have been given. Then, the data structures and their operations based on relational database model as well as object-oriented database model are presented.

본 연구는 정보통신기술분야에 있어서, 2000년대 중반부터 기존의 PC기반에서 스마트폰 등의 모바일 기반으로의 새로운 패러다임 변화라는 스마트사회에 있어, 공간정보기술정책의 바람직한 미래전략 설정을 위한 정책추진의 전략방향을 고찰하고 그 방안을 모색하여 본다. 또한 이를 통해, 형성초기단계인 공간정보기술정책의 미래전략프레임을 설정하고 바람직한 안을 제시한다. 곧 본 논문은 공간정보기술정책 추진의 미래상을 시나리오플래닝을 통하여 고찰하여 보고 향후 추진방향을 제시하며, 형성초기단계인 공간정보기술정책의 바람직한 미래전략을 제시하고 그 정책을 모색한다는 점에서, 본고에서 제시된 쌍방향 거버넌스를 지향하는 플랫폼 구축은 그러한 점에서 큰 함의가 있다.

본 연구는 공간정보를 활용하여 소방시설의 효율적인 관리 방안을 연구하고 관련 소방산업 발전을 위한 기초자료 구축을 목적으로 한다. 소방시설 관리의 오동작과 관리부실 등의 문제점을 극복하는 방안으로 공간정보를 소방시설 분야에 도입하고자 관련 법규와 소방시설의 공간정보 구축방안을 논의하였다. 소방시설의 효율적인 관리를 위하여 공간정보 기술을 포함하는 소방시설 관련 법률의 개정과 소방시설 공간정보의 표준화와 유효성, 일관성을 유지하는 것이 필요하다.

SIMS는 지역 정보 관리 환경을 지원하기 위한 통합 관리 시스템으로써 다양한 지역 및 비지역 자료를 관리하고 여러 응용작업을 지원한다. 본 논문에서는 지역데이터에 대한 질의를 처리하기 위해서 기존에 개발된 지역데이터 마이닝 질의 언어에 대한 모델과 지역 서술자를 기반으로 SQL형태의 객체 질의어를 새로이 정의한다. 또한 자동 데이터 수집, 인공위성 측위 서비스, 원격탐사, GPS, 모바일 컴퓨팅 등의 다양한 자료와 시지역(Spatio-Temporal)자료로부터 유용한 정보를 발견 할 수 있도록 SIMS를 기반으로 한 지역 데이터 마이닝 질의 언어를 설계하였다.

In this study, we proposed GIS-based Regional Crime Prevention Index (RCPI) development method designed to support local governments with systematic crime prevention activities. The public interest in safe urban environment is increasing rapidly. The government is putting efforts into crime prevention activities to eliminate the criminal opportunities in advance. CPTED is method to prevent crimes in the city by improving environmental factors that cause crime. It is used by local governments to promote the crime prevention activities centering on the expansion of CCTVs and street lamps and the improvement of street environment. However, most policies were terminated as one-off programs and it is necessary to monitor the effect of such policies on a continuous basis. In order to alleviate issues, this study proposed RCPI as part of crime safety assessment in urban environments. The estimation of RCPI in City A of Gyeonggi-do showed relative differences in 31 districts (dong), indicating that it is also possible to evaluate the crime safety in the local community on the level of the administrative dong, the smallest administrative district in the urban environments. As a crime map, the RCPI will be used effectively as he reference to support the decision making process for local government in the future.

In this paper, we present a method for generating and providing spatially encoded video data that can be effectively used by GIS applications. We collect the video data by a mobile mapping system called 4S-Van that is equipped by GPS, INS, CCD camera, and DVR system. The information about spatial object appearing in video, such as occupied region in each frame, attribute value, and geo-coordinate, are generated and encoded. We suggest methods that can generate such data for each frame in semi-automatic manner. We adopt standard MPEG-7 metadata format for representation of the spatially encoded video data to be generally used by GIS application. The spatial and attribute information encoded to each video frame can make visual browsing between map and video possible. The generated video data can be provided and applied to various GIS applications where location and visual data are both important.
