The primary purpose of this study is to identify spatial distribution patterns of co-authoring activities in Korean cadastral science. The analysis showed that a small number of researchers played an essential role in the Korean cadastral co-authorship network. In particular, some authors not only had a significant influence on other nodes in the network but also served as intermediaries between researchers. Moreover, the distance between researchers influenced co-authorship decisions to a limited extent. This study differs considerably from previous studies in that it used spatial analysis techniques to identify spatial distribution patterns of co-authoring activities. However, this research is limited in that it applied only 2019 data to determine the spatial distribution pattern of co-authoring activities. We can overcome this limitation if we analyze the spatial distribution patterns of co-authoring activities using multi-year data in future studies.

The quality of image classification results is not always uniform over entire image. Thus, this study proposes the concept of ISDd (Index of Spatial Distribution by distance) and ISDs (ISD by scatteredness) for the evaluation of unevenness of result quality, and spatial distribution of satellite image classification errors. The ISDd is indexed mean distance of misclassified pixels and the ISDs is statistical indicator of scatteredness of misclassified pixels. In this study, the ISDd and the ISDs are calculated and evaluated for some satellite images, then misclassified area is extracted and the reasons of misclassification are examined. As the result of this study, using both the ISDd and the ISDs, the basis of decision on adoption/rejection of classification results is offered at sub-image level by evaluation of the local aggregation of misclassified pixels. Using Index of Spatial Distribution. as well as overall classification accuracy, users can understand the spatial distribution of misclassified pixels, and can have the additional criterion of the judgement on suitability and reliability of classification results.
Area average rainfall estimation is important to determine the exact amount of the available water resources and the essential input data for rainfall-runoff analysis. Like that, the necessary criterion for accurate area average rainfall estimate is the uniform spatial distribution of raingauge network. In this study, we suggest the spatial distribution evaluation methodology of raingauge network to estimate better area average rainfall and after the suggested method is applied to Han River and Geum River basin. The spatial distribution of rainfall network can be quantified by the nearest neighbor index. In order to evaluate the effects of the spatial distribution of rainfall network by each basin, area average rainfall was estimated by arithmetic mean method, the Thiessen's weighting method and estimation theory for 2013's rainfall event, and evaluated the involved errors by each cases. As a result, it can be found that the estimation error at the best basin of spatial distribution was lower than the worst basin of spatial distribution.
This study was conducted to evaluate spatial distribution pattern and spatial association of crowns (${\geq}10m$ of height) and saplings (<10 m of height and ${\geq}2cm$ of DBH) for four major tree species (Pinus koraiensis, Abies nephrolepis, Acer mono, and Tilia amurensis) in the mixed broadleaved-Korean pine forest of Xiaoxing'an Mts. Vegetation data were collected in the 9 ha permanent sample plot, and the analysis adopted the point pattern analysis method. Main results are as follows; 1) crowns and saplings of major species showed clumped distribution pattern in small scale, became random distribution as the scale was increased. 2) Saplings of Pinus koraiensis performed poor regeneration under the crowns of Pinus koraiensis and Abies nephrolepis; Saplings of Abies nephrolepis did good regeneration under the crowns of Pinus koraiensis and Abies nephrolepis; and crowns of Acer mono and Tilia amurensis had little effect on the distribution of saplings of Pinus koraiensis and Abies nephrolepis. Saplings of Acer mono and Tilia amurensis made good regeneration under the crowns of Pinus koraiensis and Tilia amurensis; and the crowns of Acer mono and Abies nephrolepis had little effect on the distribution of saplings of Acer mono.
Purpose - While many related prior studies have focused on the segregation by race and ethnicity, the academic interest in the separation of residence by income and social class is gradually increasing. This study aims to not only investigate spatial pattern of economic segregation and poverty rate in South Korea, but also shed light on what affect residential distribution of the poor. Research design, data, and methodology - The unit of analysis is Si-Gun-Gu municipal level entities of South Korea. Most demographic, socioeconomic, and residential variables were derived from Korean Census Data in 2015. In order to examine spatial patterns of economic segregation and poverty rate in South Korea, a series of measurements and visualization was conducted through the Geo-Segregation Analyzer and ArcGIS programs. Determinants of economic segregation and local poverty rates were investigated by regression analyses using STATA. Results - The spatial patterns of areas with high poverty rates were extremely clustered, while the distribution of areas with high economic segregation was relatively evenly distributed. Demographic, residential, and local factors appeared to affect whether the poor live in particular area or spread evenly. Conclusions - The factors that raise the poverty rate result in lower level of economic segregation, while factors that reduce the poverty rate lead to severe level of economic segregation.
Distribution pattern of seawater intrusion was analyzed from the spatial distribution map of chloride using the geostatistics and CIS analyses. The chloride distribution map made by kriging(ordinary kriging and co-kriging) after exploratory spatial data analysis. Kriging provides an advanced methodology which facilitates quantification of spatial features and enables spatial interpolation. TDS, Na$^{+}$, Br$^{[-10]}$ were selected as second parameters of co-kriging which is higher value of correlation coefficients between chloride and others groundwater properties. Chloride concentration is highest in yeminchon and coastal area. And result in co-kriging was accurate than ordinary kriging.

This study investigates the spatial distribution characteristics of Korean fashion industries during the last decade, in which the economic geography of fashion industries has changed dynamically with economic globalization and "thus resulted in increased" demand "of" diversification. In particular, this study examines the spatial distribution patterns of fashion industries in the Seoul metropolitan area where fashion industries are highly agglomerated. For the purpose, this study applies Moran's I Index of spatial autocorrelation analysis for seven functional sectors of fashion industries related to fashion production. The global and local agglomeration patterns are examined for each functional sector. The results clarify the distinction in the spatial agglomeration patterns among the seven functional sectors of fashion industries in the Seoul Metropolitan area. Logit models are developed to examine the interrelationships among functional sectors in their spatial agglomeration distribution patterns. By conducting binary logistic regression analysis, we find out how the spatial agglomeration of each functional sector is related to the others.

This study analyzed how spatial distribution of Himantormia lugubris is affected by the microenvironment in the Antarctic Specially Protected Area (ASPA) No. 171 located in the Barton Peninsula of King George Island that belongs to the maritime Antarctic. In order to determine the population structure of H. lugubris growing in Baekje Hill within ASPA No. 171, we counted the individuals of different size groups after dividing the population into 5 growth stages according to mean diameter as follows: ≤ 1 cm, 1-3 cm, 3-5 cm, 5-10 cm, and ≥ 10 cm. The count of H. lugubris individuals in each growth stage was converted into its percentage with respect to the entire population, which yielded the finding that stages 1 through 5 accounted for 32.8%, 25.3%, 15.9%, 22.5%, and 3.5%, respectively. This suggests that the population of H. lugubris in ASPA No. 171 has a stable reverse J-shaped population structure, with the younger individuals outnumbering mature ones. The mean density of H. lugubris was 17.6/0.25 m2, mean canopy cover 13.3%, and the mean dry weight 37.8 g/0.25 m2. It began to produce spore in the sizes over 3 cm, and most individuals measuring 5-10 cm were adults with sexually mature apothecia. The spatial distribution of H. lugubris was highly heterogeneous. The major factors influencing its distribution and performance were found to be the period covered by snow, wind direction, moisture, size of the substrate, and canopy cover of Usnea spp. Based on these factors, we constructed a prediction model for estimating the spatial distribution of H. lugubris. Conclusively, the major factors for the spatial distribution of H. lugubris were snow, wind, substrate and the competition with Usnea spp. These results are important for understanding of the distribution in the maritime Antarctic and evolution of H. lugubris that claims a unique life history and ecological niche.

The distribution of observations in most econometric studies with spatial heterogeneity is skewed. Usually, a single transformation of the data is used to approximate normality and to model the transformed data with a normal assumption. This assumption is however not always appropriate due to the fact that panel data often exhibit non-normal characteristics. In this work, the normality assumption is relaxed in spatial mixed models, allowing for spatial heterogeneity. An inference procedure based on Bayesian mixed modeling is carried out with a multivariate skew-elliptical distribution, which includes the skew-t, skew-normal, student-t, and normal distributions as special cases. The methodology is illustrated through a simulation study and according to the empirical literature, we fit our models to non-life insurance consumption observed between 1998 and 2002 across a spatial panel of 103 Italian provinces in order to determine its determinants. Analyzing the posterior distribution of some parameters and comparing various model comparison criteria indicate the proposed model to be superior to conventional ones.
The purpose of this study was to provide the necessary data to explore the development plans of consumer organizations by looking at the spatial distribution of consumer organizations. This is because community-based consumer organizations can propose concrete measures to solve consumer problems more effectively. In this study, data of 11 consumer organizations and 815 branches were collected and analyzed using local indicators of spatial distribution and spatial lag model. First, it was difficult to find patterns according to the geographical characteristics of the spatial distribution of consumer organizations. Second, consumer organizations were more distributed in areas with large populations and businesses and large areas. Third, there is a discrepancy between the demand and supply of consumer organizations when compared with the number of consumer counseling. Based on this, it is necessary to constantly seek concrete development plans by supplementing the qualitative data on the activities of consumer organizations.
