This study describes the development of a web-based system that collects all data generated in the research conducted to set pre-harvest residue limits (PHRLs) for agricultural product safety control. These data, including concentrations of pesticide residues, limit of detection, limit of quantitation, recoveries, weather charts, and growth rates, are incorporated into a database, a regression analysis of the data is performed using statistical techniques, and the PHRL for an agricultural product is automatically computed. The development and establishment of this system increased the efficiency and improved the reliability of the research in this area by standardizing the data and maintaining its accuracy without temporal or spatial limitations. The system permits automatic computation of the PHRL and a quick review of the goodness of fit of the regression model. By building and analyzing a database, it also allows data accumulated over the last 10 years to be utilized.
As total system performance depends on spatial dta management in spatial database system, low cost method is required. However, spatial data have many characters that are different from multimedia data, data size is almost similar by layer and variable from few bytes to tera bytes. So large data manager of EXODUS and Starburst and BLOB etc, make problems that is many Disk I/O and Disk space waste. This paper proposes new storage method for spatial data considering spatial dta characteristics.

Because conventional spatial databases process the spatial information that is valid at current time, it is difficult to manage historical information efficiently which has been changed from the past to current. Recently, there are rapid increasing of interest to solve this problem so that makes databases to support historical information as well as spatial management at the same time. It can be eventually used in a various application areas. The formal semantics in a database is used to represent database structures and operations in order to prove the correctiveness of them in terms or mathematics. It also plays an important role in database to design a database and database management system. So in this paper, we suggest spatiotemporal domain, object, data, and spatiotemporal geometric/topological operations. And we not only formalize relational algebra/calculus using formal semantics for a spatiotemporal data model, but also show the example of real orld with them.

Autonomous driving-related technologies are developing step by step by applying the degree of driving. It is essential that operational management technology for roads where autonomous vehicles move should also develop in line with autonomous driving technology. However, in the case of road operation management, it is currently managed using only two-dimensional information, showing limitations in the systematic operation management of lane and facility information and maintenance. This study proposed a plan to construct an operation management system architecture capable of 3D spatial information-based operation management by designing a convergence database that can process real-time big data with high-definition road map data. Through this study, when using a high-definition road map based operation management system for lane and facility maintenance in the future, it is possible to visualize and manage facilities, edit and analyze data of multiple users, link various GIS S/W and efficiently process large scale of real-time data.

The aim of this study is to apply and verify of logistic regression at Janghung, Korea, using a Geographic Information System (GIS). Landslide locations were identified in the study area from interpretation of IRS satellite images, field surveys, and maps of the topography, soil type, forest cover, geology and land use were constructed to spatial database. The factors that influence landslide occurrence, such as slope, aspect and curvature of topography were calculated from the topographic database.13${\times}$1ure, material, drainage and effective soil thickness were extracted from the soil database, and type, diameter and density of forest were extracted from the forest database. Land use was classified from the Landsat TM image satellite image. As each factor's ratings, the logistic regression coefficient were overlaid for landslide susceptibility mapping. Then the landslide susceptibility map was verified and compared using the existing landslide location. The results can be used to reduce hazards associated with landslides management and to plan land use and construction.

The aim of this study is to apply and verify of Bayesian probability model, the likelihood ratio and statistical model, at Janghung, Korea, using a Geographic Information System (GIS). Landslide locations were identified in the study area from interpretation of IRS satellite images, field surveys, and maps of the topography, soil type, forest cover, geology and land use were constructed to spatial database. The factors that influence landslide occurrence, such as slope, aspect and curvature of topography were calculated from the topographic database. Texture, material, drainage and effective soil thickness were extracted from the soil database, and type, diameter and density of forest were extracted from the forest database. Land use was classified from the Landsat TM image satellite image. As each factor's ratings, the likelihood ratio coefficient were overlaid for landslide susceptibility mapping, Then the landslide susceptibility map was verified and compared using the existing landslide location. One of recent trends in Web-based GIS is the system development using FOSS (Free and Open Source Software). Open Source software is independent from the technologies of commercial software and can increase the reusability and extensibility of existing systems. In this study, we developed a Web-based GIS for interactive visualization of geographic information using Google Earth and spatial DBMS(database management system). Google Earth Plug-in and Google Earth API(application programming interface) were used to embed a geo-browser in the Web browser. In order to integrate the Google Earth with a spatial DBMS, we implemented a KML(Keyhole Markup Language) generator for transmitting server-side data according to user's query and converting the data to a variety of KML for geovisualization on the Web. Our prototype system was tested using time-series of LAI(leaf area index), forest map, and crop yield statistics. The demonstration included the geovisualization of raster and vector data in the form of an animated map and a 3-D choropleth map. We anticipate our KML generator and system framework will be extended to a more comprehensive geospatial analysis system on the Web.
Recently the life and property damage caused by urban inundation have increased. In order to prevent the damage by inundation the researches for displaying the flooded areas through integrating SWMM and GIS have been progressed. However most of flood analysis systems only have used the GIS to display the flooded areas, and don't provide the integration disaster information to prevent the inundation. In this paper, we design a prototype for the Map Viewer based Spatial DB for the integrated urban floooded area management system. And we implement the spatial DB conversion module.

Cut Slope Management System(CSMS) is a systematic maintenance and management system designed to prevent the collapse of cut slopes located along national roads. In order to implement safe road operation system, KICT has started the inventory of cut slopes and developed a cut slope database since 2006. Cut slope database management system using GIS technology and navigation system was developed as a Information Technology application. Through the Cut Slope Navigation System(SLOPE-Navi.), the previously developed database was checked and verified. The converted cut slope inventory data and field investigation data of 28,707 cut slopes were loaded on the navigation map. We consider that the Cut Slope Navigation Management System can be useful as in-situ system, which can be systematic and effective DB management and operation to prevent cut slope collapses and establish a remedial countermeasure as mitigation concerning disasters.

Floods are disastrous natural phenomena which result in numerous losses of life and property. It is possible to minimize the potential risk by adopting a disaster management system. Nowadays, Geo-Spatial Information System(GSIS) and computer-modelling techniques have assisted scientists and engineers with determining flood disaster assessments, GIS technologies especially have the advantage of performing spatial analysis as well as generating the model for a flood hazard. Therefore, this paper presents the flood management system based on 3D GSIS that can cope with natural disasters actively and manage flood hazard systematically by constructing the database using hydrological data, digital map, DEM, and high-resolution satellite images.
