On the spatial information open platform, the national spatial data are released to provide services that the people can use freely. Recently, the demand for high quality 3D geospatial information and indoor spatial information is increasing. However, open platform is not able to provide seamless service because spatial data of indoor and outdoor are composed of different formats and storage structures. In addition, the 3D data format used in the current service does not reflect the recent changes in service environment and new technology. Therefore, in this study, we proposed new format of 3D data used in service to improve interoperability and service of open platform 3D data. The proposed format is lighter than the existing format and the rendering speed is improved.

The real world is spatially modelled conceptually either as discrete objects or earth surface. The generated data models are then usually represented as vector and raster respectively. Although there are limited cases where only one data model is sufficient to solve the spatial problem at hand, it is now generally accepted that GIS should be able to handle various types of data model. Recent advances in spatial technology introduced even more variety of heterogeneous data models and the need is ever growing to handle and manage efficiently these large variety of spatial data. The OGC (Open GIS Consortium), an international organization pursuing standardization in the geospatial industry. recently introduced the GMLJP2 (Geographic Mark-Up Language JP2) format which enables store and handle heterogeneous spatial data. The GMLJP2 format, which is based on the JP2 format which is an abbreviation for JPEG2000 wavelet image compression format, takes advantage of the versatility of the GML capabilities to add extra data on top of the compressed image. This study takes a close look into the GMLJP2 format to analyse and exploit its potential to handle and mange hetergeneous spatial data. Aerial image, digital map and LIDAR data were successfully transformed end archived into a single GMLJP2 file. A simple viewing program was made to view the heterogeneous spatial data from this single file.
The objective of the paper is to recommend a database format of geographic informa¬tion systems for transportation (GIS-T) based on a review of geographic data files (GDF), a European standard format for navigation and the topologically integrated geographic encoding and referenc¬ing files (TIGER) if the USA The establishment of the standard format for transportation database is important for sharing data since data collection is costly. We believe the recommended format would reduce the implementation costs for GIS-T in Korea in the future.

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology is a necessary function to support location based on service by using GPS in the mobile environment. These mobile systems have basic functional limitations such as a low rate of processing, limited memory capacity, and small screen size. Because of these limitations, most of the mobile systems require development of a reduced digital map to overcome problems with large-volume spatial data. In this paper, we suggest using the reduced digital map format in order to use location based on service in a PDA environment. The processing of the proposed data format consists of map generation, redefinition of layers, creating polygons, and format conversion. The proposed data format reduces the data size by about 98% comparing with DXF format based on the digital map of Busan.
This study aims to develop a standard protocol by which users can exchange data information efficiently between KOSDIC and GIS. The ultimate goal from this study is to propose a data exchange format using KOSIC. The background of this study is that GIS industry sector is vigorously developing linked to spatial information construction such as UIS, LIS, EIS, AM/FM through supporting by regional government institution. According to do, the format of data transformation becomes major issue. GIS data can easily transfer to CAD version but when CAD data convert to GIS format (DWG->DXF->SHP) cannot get high success rate due to errors and problems. In addition, CAD data feature is made from oriental structure which is made of point and line faeture so that GIS system is impossible to data transformation. In the reason, the biggest problem is discordance of symbolization in integration and standard of data format. By investigation the usability of this study, conclusion are drawn efficient alternative plan in data transformation. Though this wort we will be able to provide a better transformation of data conversion between CAD format and GIS format. Accordingly, it is of important to enrich the integrated construction information infrastructure, which accommodates ever-changing constructions environment.

It is very difficult to exchange geographical data among geographical information systems which store their spatial data with independent storage structures. Since, moreover, large amount of storage space is necessary to store spatial data and ex pen sive cost is required to input them, waste will grow as they are stored redundantly. Therefore, it is essential to share them with other geographical information systems by exchanging spatial data among them. In order to exchange spatial data efficiently, there exist several international standards for data exchange format. In this paper, we design and implement a data conversion system that converts geographical data between SDTS (Spatial Data Transfer Standard) which is adopted as the national standard for common data exchange format and Informap which is the existing mapping system. We first analyze the storage structures of SDTS and Informap, respectively and develop gateway functions according to these analyses for efficient conversion. Finally, we design and implement the overall data conversion system between SDTS and Informap using the gateway functions.
Since the national standard topographic map is made by DXF format which is the results of the National Geographic Information System project and lots of CAD data and scanners can be used to acquire the data easily, the imports of existing DXF file will decrease the costs and time for data acquisition process. In addition, the spatial data such as topographic map should be able to convert to the middle file format such as PostScript in order to be exported into other systems. For this purpose, I design and implement three units of modules, which are File Manipulation Module, MVF Import Module, and MVF Export Module. Finally, I verify the actual transformation of topographic map that are DXF file format by conducting the series of tests.
Map databases for CNS (Car Navigation System) can be accessed quickly and compressed efficiently due to that these are usually recorded as in a PSF (Physical Storage Format). However, it is difficult to create and manage data storage based on a file-system. To solve these problems, DBMS needs to be combined with spatial data management. Therefore, we developed an embedded DBMS with which to store data and conduct quick searches in CNS. Spatial data could be easily managed and accessed using the compression method, Multi-Link, spatial index, and spatial division. In the result, the proposed embedded DBMS searched quickly and stably supported data management. If synchronization is applied in DBMS, it is expected to utilize the advantages of an embedded DBMS.
This paper proposes an algorithm for automatically converting and displaying rainfall radar data on a 3D GIS platform. The weather information displayed like rainfall radar data is updated frequently and large-scale. Thus, in order to efficiently display the data, an algorithm to convert and output the data automatically, rather than manually, is required. In addition, since rainfall data is extracted from the space, the use of the display image fused with the 3D GIS data representing the space enhances the visibility of the user. To meet these requirements, this study developed the Auto Data Converter application that analyzes the raw data of the rainfall radar and convert them into a universal format. In addition, Unity 3D, which has good development accessibility, was used for dynamic 3D implementation of the converted rainfall radar data. The software applications developed in this study could automatically convert a large volume of rainfall data into a universal format in a short time and perform 3D modeling effectively according to the data conversion on the 3D platform. Furthermore, the rainfall radar data could be merged with other GIS data for effective visualization.

XMLis that XML developers in client application data text base format that can express and deliver and exchange structured data to display and manufacture. Store Spatial XML to RDBMS actually and is using to useful data that do geography information there is many interests in utilization that Spatial XML including Spatial information does it appearing to this XML Wish to search Spatial XML about data that is stored to RDBMS using Spatial XQuery to ask a question in this paper and embody Spatial XML Generator algorithm that draw information in RDBMS in XML form through Spatial XML Generator also.
