We can predict spatial acoustic pressure distribution on the plane of interest by using acoustic holography. However, the information embedded in the distribution plot is usually much more than what we need: for example, source locations and their overall propagation pattern. One possible candidate to solve the problem is complex envelope analysis. Complex envelope analysis extracts slowly-varying envelope signal from a band signal. We have attempted to extend this method to space domain so that we can have spatial information that we need. We have to modulate two dimensional data for obtaining spatial envelope. Although spatial modulation basically follows the same concept that is used in time domain, the algorithm for the spatial modulation turns out to be different from temporal modulation. We briefly describe temporal complex envelope analysis and extend it to spatial envelope of 2-D acoustic field by introducing geometric transformation. In the end, the results of applying the spatial envelope to the holography are envisaged and verified.

Recently, with the development of computer, FEM has became the most frequently used numerical analysis method. FEM shows great ability in structures analysis, however, Galerkin's Method is more useful in grasping influence or the tendency of parameter which forms the structure. This paper perform the eigenvalue analysis using Galerkin's Method which is advantageous in grasping the influence and the tendency of parameter which forms the structure and study on the influence of parameter that forms arch on natural frequency response.
This paper presents the method to quantitatively evaluate the uncertainty of the semi-empirical Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) model for Himawari-8/AHI. The uncertainty of BRDF modeling was affected by various issues such as assumption of model and number of observations, thus, it is difficult that evaluating the performance of BRDF modeling using simple uncertainty equations. Therefore, in this paper, Monte-Carlo method, which is most dependable method to analyze dynamic complex systems through iterative simulation, was used. The 1,000 input datasets for analyzing the uncertainty of BRDF modeling were generated using the Second Simulation of a Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum (6S) Radiative Transfer Model (RTM) simulation with MODerate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) BRDF product. Then, we randomly selected data according to the number of observations from 4 to 35 in the input dataset and performed BRDF modeling using them. Finally, the uncertainty was calculated by comparing reproduced surface reflectance through the BRDF model and simulated surface reflectance using 6S RTM and expressed as bias and root-mean-square-error (RMSE). The bias was negative for all observations and channels, but was very small within 0.01. RMSE showed a tendency to decrease as the number of observations increased, and showed a stable value within 0.05 in all channels. In addition, our results show that when the viewing zenith angle is 40° or more, the RMSE tends to increase slightly. This information can be utilized in the uncertainty analysis of subsequently retrieved geophysical variables.

As a result of analysis, it was shown conventional surveying 100%, it was shown that about 64% in RTKGPS, it was shown that about 63% in DGPS, it was shown that about 37% in Digital Video Camera cost-saving.
This paper discusses the spatial variability of the carbonation depth caused by the mesoscopic structure of the concrete and the influence of the spatial variability on the thickness of the concrete cover. To conduct the research, a method to generate the random aggregate structure (RAS) based on polygonal particles and a simplified numerical model of the concrete carbonation at meso-scale are firstly developed. Based on the method and model, the effect of the aggregate properties including shape, content and gradation on the spatial variability of the carbonation depth is comprehensively studied. The results show that a larger degree of the spatial variability will be obtained by using (1) the aggregates with a larger aspect ratio; (2) a larger aggregate content; (3) the gradation which has more large particles. The proper sample size and model size used in the analysis are also studied. Finally, a case study is conducted to demonstrate the influence of the spatial variability of the carbonation depth on the proper thickness of the concrete cover. The research in this paper not only provides suggestions on how to decrease the spatial variability, but also proposes the method to consider the effect of the spatial variability in designing the thickness of the concrete cover.

Soil properties are not random values which is represented by mean and standard deviation but show spatial correlation. Especially, soils are highly variable in their properties and rarely homogeneous. Thus, the accuracy and reliability of probabilistic analysis results is decreased when using only one random variable as design parameter. In this paper, to consider spatial variability of soil property, one-dimensional random fields of coefficient of consolidation ($C_v$) were generated based on a Karhunen-Loeve expansion. A Latin hypercube Monte Calro simulation coupled with finite difference method for Terzaghi's one dimensional consolidation theory was then used to probabilistic analysis. The results show that the failure probability is smaller when consider spatial variability of $C_v$ than not considered and the failure probability increased when the autocorrelation distance increased. Thus, the uncertainty of soil can be overestimated when spatial variability of soil property is not considered, and therefore, to perform a more accurate probabilistic analysis, spatial variability of soil property needed to be considered.

In the large scale recent reclaiming works performed within the wide spatial boundary, evaluation of long-term consolidation settlement and residual settlement of the whole construction area is sometimes made with the results of the limited ground investigation and measurement. Then the reliability of evaluation has limitations due to the spatial uncertainty. Additionally, in case of large scale deep excavation works such as urban subway construction, there are a lot of hazardous elements to threaten the safety of underground pipes or adjacent structures. Therefore it is necessary to introduce a damage prediction system of adjacent structures and others. For the more accurate analysis of monitoring information in the wide spatial boundary works and large scale urban deep excavations, it is necessary to perform statistical and spatial analysis considering the geographical spatial effect of ground and monitoring information in stead of using diagrammatization method based on a time-series data expression that is traditionally used. And also it is necessary that enormous ground information and measurement data, digital maps are accumulated in a database, and they are controlled in a integrating system. On the abovementioned point of view, we developed Geomonitor 2.0, an Internet based real time monitoring program with a new concept by adding GIS and geo-statistical analysis method to the existing real time integrated measurement system that is already developed and under useful use. The new program enables the spatial analysis and database of monitoring data and ground information, and helps the construction- related persons make a quick and accurate decision for the economical and safe construction.
In this paper, a numerical procedure of probabilistic steady seepage analysis that considers the spatial variability of soil permeability is presented. The procedure extends the deterministic analysis based on the finite element method to a probabilistic approach that accounts for the uncertainties and spatial variation of the soil permeability. Two-dimensional random fields are generated based on a Karhunen-Lo$\grave{e}$ve expansion in a fashion consistent with a specified marginal distribution function and an autocorrelation function. A Monte Carlo simulation is then used to determine the statistical response based on the random fields. A series of analyses were performed to verify the application potential of the proposed method and to study the effects of uncertainty due to the spatial heterogeneity on the seepage behavior of soil foundation beneath water retaining structure with a single sheet pile wall. The results showed that the probabilistic framework can be used to efficiently consider the various flow patterns caused by the spatial variability of the soil permeability in seepage assessment for a soil foundation beneath water retaining structures.

In recent years, mary studies for efact estimation of groudwater recharge has been performed. They can be categorized into three groups : analytical method by means of groundwater recession curve, water budget analysis based on watershed, and the method using groundwater model. Since groundwater recharge rate shows the spatial-temporal variability due to hydrogeological heterogeneity, existing studies have various limits to deal with these characteristics. The method of estimating daily recharge rate with spatial-temporal variation based on rainfall-runoff model is suggested in this study for this purpose. This method is expected to enhance existing indirect method by means of reflecting climatic conditions, land use and hydrogeological heterogeneity.
