Development of Intelligent Messenger for Affective Interaction of Content Robot (콘텐츠 로봇의 감성적 반응을 위한 지능형 메신저 개발)

  • Nowadays, many research have been conducted on robots or interactive characters that properly respond to the users affection. In this paper, we develop an intelligent messenger that provides appropriate responses to text inputs according to user's intention and affection. In order to properly respond, the intelligent messenger adapts methods to recognize user's speech act and affection. And it uses an AIML-based interactive script to which tags are additionally attached to express affection and speech act. If the intelligent messenger finds a proper reply in the interactive scripts, it displays the reply in a dialog window, and an animation character expresses emotion assimilated with a user's affection. If the animation character is synchronized with a content robot through a wireless link, the robot in the same space with the user can provide emotional response.

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest one of effective online questionnaire methods by using web based games. The research examines the interrelation between space design element and emotion language in the background actually used in the web games, and suggests new questionnaire methods to overcome the problems of the insincere answers which is the limitation of online questionnaire methods. The paper is to examine the related references, and compare the merits and demerits between printed and online text based questionnaires. Then it suggests the on-line questionnaire methods based web games which can improve errors of the demerits. The emotional words and phrases database is embodied by the interrelation between the emotional words and four spaces such as a dwelling, a tradition, a commerce and a fantasy based on the position decision value of Gaussian distribution. The paper suggests to be utilized for a population calculability system such as a consumers preference test.

  • The Study on the Film, as the one of the main fields in the cultural studies, has the significant meaning in analyzing our society in that culture represents the realities of the present society. Film is the metaphorically expressed text and the specific space where a variety of discourses cross. The director's social consciousness projected in the film must have the ultimate significance through the dialectic relation between the intention of the director and the interpretation of the audience, not through the his one-sided message to the audience. This paper focuses on the analysis of the movie 'The Host', which is evaluated to show the meaningful social phenomena related to 'disaster' among the recent movies in Korea. The Host which is characteristic of 'the open structure' can be referred to as the film reflecting the imperial order prevalent in the colonial society.

  • This study will examine the social issues and consumer awareness of sharing parking through the method text mining. In this experiment, the topic by keyword was extracted and analyzed using TFIDF (Term frequency inverse document frequency) and LDA (Latent dirichlet allocation) technique. As a result of categorization by topic, citizens' complaints such as local government agreements, parking space negotiations, parking culture improvement, citizen participation, etc., played an important role in implementing shared parking services. The contribution of this study highly differentiated from previous studies that conducted exploratory studies using corporate and regional cases, and can be said to have a high academic contribution. In addition, based on the results obtained by utilizing the LDA analysis in this study, there is a practical contribution that it can be applied or utilized in establishing a sharing economy policy for revitalizing the local economy.

  • Comics is sequential art. In comics, the story is developped by its sequential panels which have their own sizes and sites. Accordingly, comics is closer to 'space' art than text. The reading order in a page of comic book follows the human long-standing reading habit, and it is the same as that of textbook. When we read a korean comic book, our eyes run from left to right, and downward on the page. But some factors related to panels or comic structures can change the typical reading order. Meanwhile, breaking the typical reading order is easier in the "infinite canvas" by reason of unconstrained spatial composition.   • With the increasing access to the internet, the number of designers who rely on internet to use information on design is on the rise. Therefore common dictionary of design terminology need to be formed and shared among designers. To do so, internet is very useful medium. However as relating terminology increases rapidly through interactivity among designers, it will be far from taking full advantage of features of internet to set up and provide such information unilaterally on internet. This indicates that providing data on the internet, not via traditional books, requires in-depth study on process of establishment of database structure and appropriate interface design. Thus this study will show design terms database model that harnesses internet feature that enables establishment of information spontaneously through user's interactivity, departing from a model that conveys information unilaterally. This report summarized and analyzed various models and suggested classification system in accordance with user's learning cognition. Problems on existing dictionary of design terminology were identified and new methods addressing such problems were exploited. In a word, this report is intended to propose user oriented inter-constructive database model that highlights high level of openness and interactivity by enabling changes of text in the cyber space and encouraging user to participate in making design dictionary.

After store XML informations including space information to RDBMS in this paper, Spatial XQuery through converter that is Sqatial XQuery2SQL through Spatial operator, Spatial function SQL of by Sqatial XQuery2SQL conversion algorithm that draw information in RDBMS after change embody wish to.

  • With the recent rapid progress of Internet, the higher speed network is needed to support the exploration of ambient information from text-based to multimedia-based information. Also, demands for additional Layer 3 routing technique, such as Network Address Translator (NAT) and Firewall, are required to solve a limitation of a current Internet address space and to protect the interior network from the exterior network. However, current router-based algorithms do not provide mechanisms to solve the congestion and fairness problems, while supporting the multimedia services and satisfying the user requirements. In this paper, to solve these problems, a new active queue management, called MFRED (Multiple Fairness RED) algorithm, is proposed. This algorithm can efficiently reduce the congestion in a router or gateway based on the Layer 3 routing technique, such as NAT. This algorithm can improve the fairness among TCP-like flows and unresponsive flows. It also works well in fairly protecting congestion-sensitive flows, i.e. fragile TCP, from congestion-insensitive or congestion-causing flows, i.e. robust TCP.

  • This study analyzes location based game focused on the figurative characteristics of mobility. The purpose of this analysis is to extend the understandings of game mobility from technical side toward rhetorical territory. Christian Metz's film theory is appropriate for analysis of the game which is visual and combinational text. According as research findings, structuralize 5-layered spatial maps. And this kind of multi-layering structure generates figurative operations. Adaptive mobility by metaphor, it reflects player's real world movement into the virtual space. Metonymy brings given mobility, it reflects character's movement through all of the virtual maps.

  • In this paper, we have discussed the search function that can be embedded and used on Android-based applications. We used BM25 to suppress insignificant and too frequent words such as postpositions, Pivoted Length Normalization technique used to resolve the search priority problem related to each item's length, and Rocchio's method to pull items inferred to be related to the query closer to the query vector on Vector Space Model to support implicit feedback function. The index operation is divided into two methods; simple index to support offline operation and complex index for online operation. The implementation uses query inference function to guess user's future input by collating given present input with indexed data and with it the function is able to handle and correct user's error. Thus the implementation could be easily adopted into smartphone applications to improve their search functions.
