Korean Medical Treatment Including Space Spinal Conduction Exercise and Manipulation Treatment for Spondylolisthesis: Three Case Reports (척추전방전위증 환자에 대한 공간척추도인안교법을 포함한 한방치료 치험 3예)

  • To report the effect of an Korean medical treatment, including Space spinal conduction exercise and manipulation treatment for a patient suffering with spondylolisthesis. Three patients were treated by oriental medical treatment including acupuncture, oriental medicine, Space spinal conduction exercise and manipulation treatment and the results were assessed with a numerical rating scale (NRS), walking condition, and back pain, sciatica. After treatment, the NRS changed from 8~9 to 1~2 and walking condition get better. The patient's back pain and sciatica have improved. In this study, oriental medical treatment, including Space spinal conduction exercise and manipulation treatment was an effective treatment for patients with spondylolisthesis. However, additional studies are needed, as are more and observations of these patients.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this case study was to report the effect of Chuna therapy include Space Spinal Conduction Exercise and Manipulation Treatment for Functional dyspepsia patients. Methods: A 32-years-old male patients with functional dyspepsia visited the clinic ten times from March 17th 2023 to April 22th 2023. To assess the treatment outcomes, we used the Standard tool for pattern identification of Functional dyspepsia and Nepean Dyspepsia Index-Korean version (NDI-K) symptom score. Result: After treatment, Standard tool for pattern identification of Functional dyspepsia and Nepean Dyspepsia Index-Korean version (NDI-K) score decreased. Conclusion: Chuna therapy include Space Spinal Conduction Exercise and Manipulation Treatment was effective in the treatment of patient with Functional dyspepsia.

A Case Report on Changes in Body Composition in an Adolescent Obese Patient Treated with Complex Korean Medicine Treatment with Modified Fasting, and Space Spinal Conduction Exercise and Manipulation (한약 및 절식요법을 포함한 한의 종합 치료와 공간척추도인안교를 병행한 청소년 비만 환자의 체성분 변화 증례보고 1예)

  • This study reports the clinical effects of Korean medicine treatments, herbal medicine, modified fasting, and space spinal conduction exercise and manipulation (SSCEM) on adolescent obesity patient. A 16-year-old male with a body mass index (BMI) 35.5 kg/m2 was diagnosed with class III obesity. We prescribed herbal medicine and modified fasting alternately three times over a period of five months. Additionally, Korean medicine treatments and SSCEM were performed during the treatment period. After treatment, there was a decrease in body weight by 19.86%, from 115.8 kg to 92.8 kg, BMI from 35.5 kg/m2 to 28.6 kg/m2, and body fat mass from 38.1 kg to 17.0 kg. The results of this study showed that Korean medicine treatments, herbal medicine, modified fasting, and SSCEM could be useful in influencing changes in body composition among obese adolescents.
