  • Different molecular lines trace different physical environments (with various densities and temperatures) within molecular clouds (MCs). Therefore, multimolecular line observations are crucial to study the physical and chemical structures of MCs. We observed the Orion A and Ophiuchus clouds in six different molecular lines as a Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory Key Science Program (TRAO-KSP), "mapping Turbulent properties In star-forming MolEcular clouds down to the Sonic scale" (TIMES; PI: Jeong-Eun Lee). Here, we investigate the characteristic relations between the observed lines by performing the Principal Component Analysis (PCA). We also investigate the correlation between the line intensity distributions and the physical parameters, such as the gas column density and dust temperature. Finally, we will discuss how the correlations among different chemical tracers vary with the star formation environments.

  • Semantic clustering is important to various fields in the modem information society. In this work we applied the Independent Component Analysis method to the extraction of the features of latent concepts. We used verb and object noun information and formulated a concept as a linear combination of verbs. The proposed method is shown to be suitable for our framework and it performs better than a hierarchical clustering in latent semantic space for finding out invisible information from the data.

  • The SASW method is a promising and effective way of profiling ground stiffness nondestructively. This method has been successfully applied to many geotechnical sites, but significant lateral variability, embedded obstacles, and pavement lead to the low reliability. To improve these problems, the horizontal wave component has been introduced to improve the reliability of the stiffness profile determined by the SASW method. To understand dispersion character of the horizontal component wave propagation in artificial profiles, FEM analysis had been performed. Used models are homogeneous half-space and two layered half- spaced layers.

  • Estimating condition of geotechnical structures are difficult because of nonlinear time dependency and seasonal effects. Measuring data of structure failure is highly variable in time and space, and a unique approach cannot be defined to model structure movements. Characteristics of movements are obtained by using a statistical method called Principal Component Analysis(PCA). The PCA is a non-parametric method to separate unknown, statistically uncorrelated source processes from observed mixed processes. Instead, since the "best" mathematical relationship is estimated for given data sets of the input and output measured from target systems. As a consequence, this method is advantageous in modeling systems whose geomechanical properties are unknown or difficult to be measured.

  • In this paper EMI problems with induction motor drive system using multi-level inverters are investigated. The high power multi-level inverter usually operates with low switching frequency and produces large noises. Generally, EMI consists of the conduction component through source lines and emission component emitted to the space. This conduction component can be classified to the common-mode between source line and ground, and the normal-mode between lines. The EMI filters for the induction motor drive system are designed and implemented to reduce EMI noise. Finally the designed system is verified by the experiment. The experimental results show that both the normal mode and common mode noises are greatly reduced compared to the system without filters.

  • LCC(Launch Control Center) in NARO Space Center perform a data monitoring and control through the interface to the external system of launch vehicle. Launch Control function needs a high reliability and processing speed. Hence, LCC's remote control system configure a real time system. An important role of the Simulation system is discovering a risk element and minimize it When developing a launch control system. Also, secure a development technique to solve the risks. Launch Vehicle simulator is composed of various component at characteristic of the Launch Vehicle. To be like this each function component the developer will be able to develop easily in order, it using the LabVIEW which is a Graphical Program and it programs, The LabVIEW GOOP(Graphical Object-orinted Programming) which supports an Object-orinted programming it uses with the Component it develops will have a strong point which reusability and a unit test, maintenance, size of program and individual developments.

  • We present a method to estimate 3-component plasma velocity (Vx, Vy and Vz) at solar photosphere near solar disk center, using the Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) onboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) called Space-weather HMI Active Region Patch (SHARP). In Heliocentric-Cartesian Coordinates, the component of Vz is obtained from Dopplergram while the components of Vx and Vy are derived from the relation of $B_z{\overrightarrow{u}}=B_z{\overrightarrow{{\nu}_t}}-{\nu}_z{\overrightarrow{B_t}}$ (Demoulin & Berger 2003) using a series of vector magnetograms by an optical flow technique NAVE (Nonlinear Affine Velocity Estimator). This velocity measurement method is applied to AR 12158 producing an X1.6 flare along with a coronal mass ejection. We find noticeable upflow motions at both ends of flux ropes which become a major eruption part, and strong transverse motions nearby them before the eruption. We will discuss the change of plasma motions and magnetic fields before and after the eruption.

  • This paper presents the analysis method for the torque characteristic of the 1-phase induction motor considering space harmonics in the air gap. The equivalent circuit method is used, where the circuit constants are obtained by classic theory. In addition, the space harmonic components in air gap magneto motive force are analyzed and added to the equivalent circuit to obtain accurate torque characteristics in low speed regions. Each torque component due to the harmonics is calculated and the total torque characteristic is obtained and compared with the measurement result.

  • Consider a nonlinear transform ${\Phi}(x)$ of x in $\mathbb{R}^p$ to Hilbert space H and assume that the dot product between ${\Phi}(x)$ and ${\Phi}(x^{\prime})$ in H is given by < ${\Phi}(x)$, ${\Phi}(x^{\prime})$ >= K(x, x'). The aim of this paper is to propose a mathematical technique to take screen shots of the multivariate dataset mapped to Hilbert space H, particularly suited to Gaussian kernel $K({\cdot},{\cdot})$, which is defined by $K(x,x^{\prime})={\exp}(-{\sigma}{\parallel}x-x^{\prime}{\parallel}^2)$, ${\sigma}$ > 0. Several numerical examples are given.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a way of making the master's space of the apartment suitable for new housing need. This study is to research the typology of master's space which is one of the major component of apartment plan. And also transition of the typology and size of master's space were analyzed. The 895 examples of unit floor plan were selected and classified according to the net area. The object of this study is the apartment plan which were constructed in Seoul, Il-san and Bun-dang and whose area is above 100 ㎡. Through this analysis and research, this study is to provide the basic data for actual design process and to suggest future trends of apartment houses.
