과학기술의 발전으로 세계 각국의 경쟁은 지상을 넘어 우주로 나아가고 있다. 현재 미국을 비롯한 세계 우주기술 선진국들은 달 및 행성탐사 우주선 개발과 같은 유인 우주기술 개발에 박차를 가하고 있다. 따라서 미국, 러시아, 유럽연합(독일, 프랑스 등 11개국), 캐나다, 일본을 중심으로 운영되고 있는 우주정거장은 유인 우주행성탐사 시 생명체 유지에 필요한 시스템 개발과 검증을 위한 기초/응용과학 실험실로 활용되고 있다. 특히 우주환경에서 화재의 발생과 감지/소화의 메카니즘을 이해하고자 다양한 연소실험이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가장 기본적인 우주환경인 미세중력환경에서의 화염의 점화 및 형상특성을 고찰해보고 우주환경 화재안전에 관한 일반적인 내용을 기술하였다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the planning features of apartments that are people-friendly, nature-friendly and ones that improve the quality of the apartments through sustainable design characteristics found in the apartment community space. This study found the sustainable design characteristics through the case of 8 environment-friendly apartment in the Seoul-Gyeunggi area. Sustainable design was categorized into three areas a) social sustainability b) economic sustainability c) ecological sustainability. The major findings are summarized as follows: First, socially sustainable design which included plans for various types of squares, spaces for pedestrians showed high application of universal design plans. While, plans to maximize open spaces that facilitate the social exchanges among residents showed low application. Second, economically sustainable design showed high application in terms of access to public transportation and bicycle storage facilities. However, planning factors such as alternative energy facilities, recyclable materials, reuse of rainwaterand heavy water showed low application. Third, environmentally sustainable design included high application of promenades, artificially created green space and various types of water space. On the other hand, nature study centers, biotope and environment friendly parking space showed low application.

As interests towards health rapidly increase recently, interests and demand for hospital interior space are increasing as well. Therefore, most of today's hospitals that have been functionally designed are transforming into healing environments that consider psychological aspects, in order to assist patients forget about fear, desperation and have peace of mind. With such creation method of healing environment, natural elements can be applied to spaces in order to allow patients feel vitality, hope and adapt positive thinking, and these can eventually lead to affluent fusion of humans, nature and space. Through case analyses of how natural elements are applied to hospital's interior space, this study understands its characteristics. According to the findings, nature is largely classified into light, water, plant, stone/soil, and its application methods can be classified into center, transition, continuity, division, opening and closure. As evident from case analyses, application of natural elements to hospital's interior space promotes exchanges among patients through community formation, and achieves the effect of spatial concentration and public place. Also, ambiguity of exterior and interior boundary creates a sense of expansion and continuous effect, and can also provide a healing environment that can fully absorb natural environment open to patients. This study aims to be of service when designing hospital's interior space, with its natural element application method for healing environment research, and wishes for continuous studies on healing environments with more diverse methods.

In this paper, we propose and implement an application that recommends safe paths for outdoor leisure activity of women based on Space Syntax theory. Compared to general navigation systems which focuses on the shortest time or the shortest distance, the proposed application makes safe paths the first priority. It generates path recommendation with regard to accessibility of travel time and correlation of regions and considers various risk factors for searching for the safest path. Concludingly, the employed Space Syntax algorithm enables the women users to select their own customized paths.

In this paper we introduce the concept of asymptotically almost negatively associated random variables in a Hilbert space and obtain the strong law of large numbers for a strictly stationary asymptotically almost negatively associated sequence of H-valued random variables with zero means and finite second moments. As an application we prove a strong law of large numbers for a linear process generated by asymptotically almost negatively random variables in a Hilbert space with this result.

The purpose of this study is to consider the community design applications in the senior collective housing in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. It was performed by two programs, application program and space design program. The former is focused on the participation of residents to the planing and design process, sharing, community activity, social interaction, and management by residents. The latter is focused on the common space(room) design. It was also performed by literature review, observation, and interview. The findings for the community design as an application program in SCH are almost the same with those in CH. But, the level of common meal and common laundry in SCH is lower than that of CH. And space design program is focused on the location and scale of common space(room) which is related to the number of users. As a result, the positive possibilities of SCH as a new residential type for the self-reliant seniors can be confirmed. The difference of community design application between CH and SCH is caused by various factors such as senior's health conditions, economic factors, and Japanese life style.

As environmentally friendly life styles become more popular these days, the landscape elements like plants, water, stone etc. which used be considered as just simple interior props, now become the main design concept that decides the whole image of space. The purpose of this thesis is to study the various understandings and approaches on the applications of the landscape elements which are known as the most friendly and positive ways to approach the senses of users, among any other methods and techniques for environmentally friendly elements. The application types of landscape elements in interior space design are as follows; (1) incorporate the surrounding landscape elements. Keeping existing landscape elements, incorporate them into interior elements of beauty; (2) install a transition space with landscape elements; (3) green interior planes ;(4) use landscape as the main design concept; (5) use landscape as decoration elements. Many of landscape spaces incorporated into the interior are often built in a hurry and in low qualities without much consideration of the users and the space. This study intends to set a standard for the application of landscape elements in space design, after collecting various cases that applied the landscape elements in interior space, by categorizing the successful and effective applications into applicable patterns.

Underground passage shopping center which is one of the underground space is a public facility. Therefore, underground passage shopping center needs physical environment that everyone (such as ordinary adults, seniors, disabled and ETC) could use it without any difficulties. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the application of universal design into main entrance space of underground passage shopping center. The scope of this research was adjusted as 8 underground passage shopping centers that are located in Seoul. Spacial scope of the research was set as public space such as main entrance space, slope way, stairway of underground passage shopping center and the content of scope of this research was the application of universal design. The conclusion of this research is as following. First, public space of underground passage shopping center needs physical environmental improvement for the convenient usage for seniors and disabled. Second, the application of universal design is needed for public space for shelter and rescue of underground passage shopping center. Third, Underground passage shopping center needs a plan to minimize the safety infringement of user by commercial activity of stores in it.

Modern public library is expanding its role as generalized cultural facility. Therefore public library that has comfortable and physical environment for various age and various users are needed. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the application of universal design in common space of public library, and trying to suggest environmental improvement plan that various users could comfortably use the library based on its data. The scope of this research were adjusted as 8 public libraries located in Seoul and metropolitan area of Seoul. Spacial scope that was set of this research was common space of public library and scope of content was about application of universal design. As a result of the research, first, the application of universal design toward common space of public library were appeared as low. Second, constant management and application development of universal design is needed. Third, as roles and functions of public library become various from now on, application of delicate universal design is needed for intention of users.
