국내발전소 소방안전경영시스템구축을 위한 실태평가에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of the Actual Conditions for the Construction of a Firefighting Safety Management System in Domestic Power Plants)

  • 2015년 베이징 화력발전소 화재사고나 2012년 보령화력과 2016년 태안화력 등 국내 발전소 화재사고, 2011년 후쿠시마 원전참사나 2001년 캘리포니아 대정전은 전력관련 소방안전사고로 국민의 안정적 생활과 국가적인 손실을 가져온 사례로 손꼽고 있다. 전기는 국민생활과 경제에 미치는 영향이 절대적이라 위험성이 높은 대용량의 석탄, 가스 및 원자력 등을 연료로 사용하여 전력을 생산하는 발전소가 안전관리의 소홀로 인한 화재폭발사고나 방사능누출, 지진 등 자연재해로 인한 문제가 생길 경우 국민의 생명보호와 재산손실에 직접적 피해뿐만 아니라 경제성장에 미치는 심각한 상황을 우리는 충분히 예상할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 한국남부발전 등 5개 발전사 및 한수원 소방안전담당자를 대상으로 발전소 소방안전경영시스템 구축의 필요성에 대한 실태조사를 통해 소방전담조직 보강과 전문역량강화 프로그램 운영, 체계적인 소방안전관리를 위한 발전소 맞춤형 소방안전경영시스템의 개발, 최근 이슈가 된 지진에 대비한 내진 대응체계 강화를 개선방안으로 도출하였다.

덕유산 국립공원지역의 관속식물상 (Floristic Study on T$\v{o}$kyusan National Park)

  • 덕유산 국립공원 지역내에 생육하고 있는 관속식물상을 밝히고 나아가 식물구계학적 논의와 자원식물의 생태학적 보전대책을 강구하기 위하여 1993년 4월부터 7월까지 3회에 걸쳐 9개 조사구역별로 야외조사를 한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 전체 관속식물의 수는 97과 297속 541종류로 확인되었고, 이 중에서 19종류는 인공식재된 수종이었으며, 한국특산식물은 12종류, 희귀식물은 16종류로 나타났다. 덕유산 국립공원내 식물의 구계학적 위치는 졸참나무, 쇠물푸레나무, 대팻집나무, 비목, 감태나무, 복분자딸기, 주목, 개비자나무 및 구상나무 등의 한국구 대표인자와 온대남부의 공통요소들이 자생하고 있는 전형적인 한국구남부에 속하였다. 덕유산 국립공원 지역을 대표하는 식물요소로는 복수초 군락, 주목 군락, 사스래나무 군락, 원추리류 군락, 흰참꽃나무 군락, 철쭉 군락, 금강애기나리 군락, 뻐꾹나리 군락, 구상나무의 분포사실 및 두문산 일대의 습지군락의 분포와 향적봉 일대의 고산초원 발달 등을 들 수가 있었다. 식물자원적 가치가 높아 과도한 이용압력을 받고 있는 종으로는 천마 외 15종의 약용식물, 복수초 외 7종의 관상식물 및 곰취 외 13종의 식용식물로 나타났는데 앞으로 현지주민의 소득자원으로서 지속가능한 이용이 될 수 있도록 하기 위한 치밀한 생태분류학적인 연구가 이루어져 그 결과에 따라 보전대책이 수립되야 하겠다.

꼬치동자개(Pseudobagrus brevicorpus)의 생태와 초기 생활사 (Ecology and Early Life History of Endangered Freshwater Fish, Pseudobagrus brevicorpus (Pisces: Bagridae))

  • 멸종위기에 처한 우리나라 고유 담수어인 꼬치동자개 Pseudobagrus brevicorpus의 증식 복원을 위한 연구의 일환으로 생태와 초기생활사에 대해 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 꼬치동자개는 특정 조건에 밀집되어 개체군을 형성하며 서식밀도는 1.25개체 $m^{-2}$이었고, 생산력은 200$\sim$250개 마리$^{-1}$ 낮아 멸종위기 상황을 시사하였다. 산란은 자연산란 유도 결과 수초에 산란하는 것으로 추정되며 부화한 치어는 군집생활을 한다. 수정난은 약 50시간만에 부화하였으며, 부화 3일 후 난황이 거의 흡수되었고, 부화 8일 후에는 올챙이형으로 군집하며, 30일경에 어미와 같은 형태를 보이는 치어기로 성장하였다. 이러한 산란 생태와 관련하여 멸종위기에 처한 꼬치동자개의 증식 복원과 보존을 위한 방안들을 고찰하였다.

임간재배지 내 부엽토 및 차광수준에 따른 갯기름나물의 광합성과 엽생장 특성 (Characteristics of Photosynthesis and Leaf Growth of Peucedanum japonicum by Leaf Mold and Shading Level in Forest Farming)

  • This study was carried out in order to investigate the photosynthesis response and leaf characteristics of Peucedanum japonicum growing in forest farming. The experiment was performed by leaf mold (pine tree and chestnut tree) and shading levels (0%, 35%, 50% and 75% shading). Light relative intensity was 100% (full sunlight), 60.3% (35% shading), 35.1% (50% shading), and 17.4% (75% shading) respectively. Light response curves of pine-leaf mold and chestnut-leaf mold were the highest in control (full sunlight) and these were getting lower in the higher shading level. Photosynthesis capacity and light saturation point were indicated higher in chestnut-leaf mold within the same shading level. As the shading level increased, maximum photosynthesis rate decreased. And apparent quantum yield was not indicated statistically significant difference from all treatment. Leaf area, leaf length and leaf width were significant higher in 35% shading and control under chestnut-leaf mold in all treatment. As the shading level increased, LAR (leaf area ratio), SLA (specific leaf area) and SPAD value decreased in pine-leaf mold and chestnut-leaf mold. As a result of surveying the whole experiment, P. japonicum is judged better growth and higher yield by maintaining 35% shading (relative light intensity 60%) under chestnut-leaf mold in forest farming.

저온습윤 저장기간, 발아온도 및 차광율이 눈개승마 종자의 발아에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Storage Duration with Low Temperature and Wet Condition, Germination Temperature and Shading Rate on Germination of Aruncus dioicus var. kamtschaticus Seeds)

  • Background : Aruncus dioicus var. kamtschaticus, functional wild vegetable, is perennial herb and young leaves with soft texture are generally used as edible food. So the demand for the vegetable has increased recently. This study was carried out to determine the effects of temperature and shading on germination characteristics of A. dioicus. Methods and Results : The experiment was performed by temperature and shading treatments. Seed pre-treatment before the germination experiment was carried out by the storage in low temperature ($4^{\circ}C$) under wet condition (LTW) for 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 days and shading treatment were 35%, 50%, and 75% under control, BA (6-benzyladenine) and $GA_3$ (gibberellic acid) condition for 24 hours. Increasing the length of the storage periods led to increases seed germination percent in low temperature ($4^{\circ}C$) under wet condition (LTW), germination rate of A. dioicus seed was the highest at $15^{\circ}C$ with 60 days of seed pre-treatment. In the case of seeds pre-treatment with LTW, the more temperature went up, the more days to 50% of Germination of Final Germination Rate ($T_{50}$) went down. As a result of surveying shading treatment, germination rate was the highest in control of 35% shading and the next higher was in control of 50% shading. Conclusions : It is concluded that the temperature and shading are important factors to produce A. dioicus. Also, We suggest these results as basic data of A. dioicus for sexual propagation.

임간재배 시 광조절과 부엽토 처리에 따른 삽주의 생육 및 광합성 특성 (Growth and Photosynthetic Characteristics of Atractylodes japonica by Light Controls and Leaf Mold Treatment in Forest Farming)

  • This study was carried out to determine the effects of light controls and leaf mold on root growth and physiological responses of Atractylodes japonica growing in forest farming. The experiment was performed by light controls (100%, 62.5%, 40.3% and 19.7% of full sunlight) and application of leaf mold to soil. Height, stem diameter, number of flower buds and root collar diameter were the highest in leaf mold within 62.5% of full sunlight (relative light intensity 62.5%). And these were the higher in leaf mold within each light level. As the shading level increased, light saturation point and maximum photosynthesis rate decreased. As the light level decreased, SPAD value increased in control and leaf mold. As a result of surveying the whole experiment, A. japonica was judged worse root growth under the lower light level. It was concluded that the light level was one of the most important factors to produce A. japonica. Also, producing high-quality of A. japonica with the price competitiveness by using leaf mold like the experiment can be an effective way to increase incomes for farmers.

An Efficient and Stable Method for the Transformation of Heterogeneous Genes into Cephalosporium acremonium Mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens

  • A transformation system mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens is routinely used for the genetic engineering of plants. Here, we report an efficient and stable method for transformation of heterogeneous genes into an industrial Cephalosporium acremonium by using a similar transformation system established in plants. Both the phleomycin-resistant gene and vgb gene were used as screening markers to confirm the success of transformation by either Southern hybridization or PCR amplification. It was found that acetosyringone (AS) was necessary only for protoplast transformation and the heterogeneous genes transferred were integrated into the genome of C. acremonium. The transformation efficiency obtained with this system was much higher than the conventional techniques used for transformation of C. acremonium.

Global Warming and Alpine Vegetation

  • Reconstruction of the past vegetational changes of Korea in connection with climate changes enables to understand the impacts of past and future global warming on alpine vegetation. Despite the early appearance of the cold-tolerant vegetation since the Mesozoic Era. the occurrence of warmth-tolerant vegetation during the Oligocene and Miocene implies that most of alpine and subalpine vegetations have been confined to the alpine and subalpine belts of northern Korean Peninsula. The presence of cold-episodes during the Pleistocene. however. might have caused a general southward and downslope expansions of cold-tolerant alpine and subalpine vegetation. But the climatic warming trend during the Holocene or post-glacial period eventually has isolated cold-tolerant alpine and subalpine vegetation mainly in the northern Korea. but also on scattered high mountains in the southern Korea. The presence of numerous arctic-alpine and alpine plants on the alpine and subalpine belts is mainly due to their relative degree of sensitivity to high summer temperatures. Global warming would cause important changes in species composition and altitudinal distributional pattern. The altitudinal migration of temperate vegetation upward caused by climatic warming would eventually devastate alpine plants.

발전소 온배수의 수력에너지 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Hydro Energy Development of Discharged Cooling Water at the Power Plant)

  • Cooling seawater of thermal power plant which amounts about 5 cms per 100 MWe has hydro energy of about 3,000 kW at the thermal power plant complex, but this useful hydro energy has not been developed. Therefore, the feasibility study on hydro energy development of three power plants located in the southern and western coast of Korea was performed. Three target power plants are Samcheonpo, Boryeong and Hadong thermal power plant. The design head to discharge cooling water by gravity and the head caused by tidal level in the southwestern coastal area, could be used for the production of electric power. The various alternatives were studied and technical feasibility and economical efficiency were clearly proved.

군락상태에 있는 초본식물의 엽온의 일조변화 (On the Diurnal Change of Leaf Temperature of Herbaceous Plants in Plant Community)

  • Leaf temperature is complicated with the microclimate and the dry matter production in a plant community. But a daily change of leaf temperature varying by the locality in plant body or plant community is not yet clear. To resolve such a question, following experiment was designed; Helianthus tuberosus L., Glycine max L., Zea mays L., Impomoea batatas Lam., and Cucurbita moschata var. toonas Makino were planted in the different sandy loam, $2m{\times}2m-quadrat$, which has a eastern, southern, western and northern edge. In each plot 17-25 plants were planted and the distances between individuals spaced uniformly. And leaf temperature were measured by MR3-C type thermistor from 14th May through 20th August. It is seems that the upper leaf is affected by solar radiation, the lower leaf by released heat from the earth and the middle leaf by the conditions of both zones. Measuring the temperature of a leaf that is on terminal, central, left and right margins and base part, temperature of control plant in a leaf was sloped during about two hours from noon. It is noticeable as a "noon sleeping" phenomenon.henomenon.
