The origin of texts we refer to as literary or artistic may be imagination, but many are based on experiences. In fact, experiences can be the source of artistic imagination since imagination often builds upon experiences. Therefore, the act of verbalizing human experiences using them as raw material can become a great form of art. Transforming past experiences into stories and infusing them with vitality inevitably requires a creative process of reconstruction, which is essentially a literary process. As such, 'Personal Narrative' holds significance as a literary process that weaves facts into stories and shapes them into forms. Individual experiences are stored as personal memories, and these 'personal memories' continuously generate stories. Collections of individual stories are stored as multiple memories, which gradually form 'collective memories' with distinct social and cultural inclinations through the passage of time and invisible yet potent societal and cultural censorship. The problem lies in the fact that individuals may tend to align their own memories with the inclinations of collective memory rather than simply recalling what they personally experienced. In the context of actual history, personal memories and collective memories communicate with each other, producing non-fictional content close to reality and sometimes manifesting as fiction content enriched with imagination. 'Personal Narrative' holds a significant genre as one genre of non-fiction content within our culture.
The radiation source used for non-destructive testing have permeability and cause a scattered radiation through collisions of surrounding materials, which causes changes in the surrounding spatial dose. Therefore, this study attempted to evaluate and analyze the distribution of spatial dose by source in the working environment during the non-destructive test using monte carlo simulation. In this study, Using FLUKA, a simulation code, simulates 60Co, 192Ir, and 75Se source used in non-destructive testing, The reliability of the source term was secured by comparing the calculated dose rate with the data of the Health and Physics Association. After that, a non-destructive test in the radiation safety facility(RT-room) was designed to evaluate the spatial dose according to the distance from the source. As a result of the spatial dose evaluation, 75Se source showed the lowest dose distribution in the frontal position and 60Co source showed a dose rate of about 15 times higher than that of 75Se and about 2 times higher than that of 192Ir. In addition, the spatial dose according to the distance tends to decrease according to the distance inverse square law as the distance from the source increases. Exceptionally, 60Co, 192Ir, and 75Se sources confirmed a slight increase within 2 m of position. Based on the results of this study, it is believed that it will be used as supplementary data for safety management of workers in radiation safety facilities during non-destructive testing using radioactive isotopes.
In this paper, we propose and present implementation results of a high-speed turbo decoding algorithm. The latency caused by (de)interleaving and iterative decoding in a conventional maximum a posteriori turbo decoder can be dramatically reduced with the proposed design. The source of the latency reduction is from the combination of the radix-4, center to top, parallel decoding, and early-stop algorithms. This reduced latency enables the use of the turbo decoder as a forward error correction scheme in real-time wireless communication services. The proposed scheme results in a slight degradation in bit error rate performance for large block sizes because the effective interleaver size in a radix-4 implementation is reduced to half, relative to the conventional method. To prove the latency reduction, we implemented the proposed scheme on a field-programmable gate array and compared its decoding speed with that of a conventional decoder. The results show an improvement of at least five fold for a single iteration of turbo decoding.
The quality certification test is usually conducted by a certifying organization to determine and guarantee the quality of software after the software development phase, commonly without the actual source code, but with by going against the product's manual. In this paper, we implement a Manual-based Automatic Test data generating tool: MaT, the test technique based on manual, that automatizes producing the test data from analysis data of software package and manual. The input data of MaT are the result of the analysis of software and manual. We propose 'menu-based test analysis model' in order to generate the input data. We believe that the proposed technique and tool he]p improving quality and reliability of the software.
We evaluate the sink capacity of wireless code division multiple access (CDMA) sensor networks with layered architecture. We introduce a model of interference at a sink considering two kinds of interference: multiple access interference (MAI) and node interference (NI). We also investigate the activity of sensor nodes around the sink in relation to gathering data under a layered architecture. Based on the interference model and the activity of sensor nodes around the sink, we derive the failure probability of the transmission from a source node located one hop away from the sink using Gaussian approximation. Under the requirement of 1% failure probability of transmission, we determine the sink capacity, which is defined as the maximum number of concurrent sensor nodes located one hop away from the sink. We demonstrate that as the node activity of the MAI decreases, the variation of the sink capacity due to the node activity of the NI becomes more significant. The analysis results are verified through computer simulations.

Seismic design provisions in Korea has developed based on seismic provisions in United States (e.g., ATC 3-06). Current seismic design provisions in U .S. is moving toward adopting enhanced concept for design. Federal Emergence Management Agency (FEMA) Provides the NEHRP recommended Provisions for the Development of Seismic Regulations for New Buildings which can be used as a source document for use by any interested members of the building community. Current seismic design provisions in U .S. generally use a uni-level force. These provisions can not be satisfied if the limit state design is concerned. Limit state can be defined as a state causing undesirable performance o( a structure (e .g., serviceability, ultimate, buckling, etc.). Even if there are provision for controlling drift by two levels, it is still difficult to satisfy limit states using uni-level force. Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) uses a hi-level forces Int seismic loadings which can satisfy serviceability and ultimate limit state. However, the seismic parameters used in AIJ guideline are basically determined by subjective manner of code committee member and professions. These parameters need to be determined based on target quantities (target reliability, target energy dissipation, target displacement, target stress level, etc.). This study develops the method to determine the sesmic design parameters based on a certain taget level. Reliability is used as a target level and load factors in ANSI/ASCE 7-88 are selected as design parameters to be determined.

This paper proposes an efficient path maintaining scheme in the grid based wireless sensor networks. The proposed scheme provides the shortest path from a source node to a mobile sink node in a re-established dissemination path. The shortest path can save energy consumption to deliver data to the destination. The proposed scheme can also reduce the cost for path maintenance by reusing the existing path. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme reduces the path maintenance cost by 60% compared to the conventional schemes.

It is usual for test data generation to be performed using either high-level specifications or source codes written in high-level programming languages. In certain circumstances, however, such information is not always available. This paper presents a technique that generates test data based on executable object codes. The proposed technique makes use of a very simple function minimization technique without sophisticated object code analysis and produces test data dynamically. We have conducted a simple experiment to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed test data generation technique with a triangle classification program to show that branch coverage can be easily achieved.
[Fe II] emission lines are prominent in the infrared (IR) and important as diagnostic tools for radiative atomic shocks. We investigate the emission characteristics of [Fe II] lines using a shock code developed by Raymond (1979) with updated atomic parameters. We first review general characteristics of the IR [Fe II] emission lines from shocked gas, and derive their fluxes as a function of shock speed and ambient density. We have compiled available IR [Fe II] line observations of interstellar shocks and compare them to the ratios predicted from our model. The sample includes both young and old supernova remnants in the Galaxy and the Large Magellanic Cloud and several Herbig-Haro objects. We find that the observed ratios of the IR [Fe II] lines generally fall on our grid of shock models, but the ratios of some mid-IR lines, e.g., [Fe II] 35.35 µm/[Fe II] 25.99 µm, [Fe II] 5.340 µm/[Fe II] 25.99 µm, and [Fe II] 5.340 µm/[Fe II] 17.94 µm, are significantly offset from our model grid. We discuss possible explanations and conclude that while uncertainties in the shock modeling and the observations certainly exist, the uncertainty in atomic rates appears to be the major source of discrepancy.
Energy simulation tools can provide information on the amount of heat transfer through building envelope components, which are considered the main sources of heat loss in buildings. Therefore, it is important to improve the quality of outputs from energy simulation tools and also the process of obtaining them. In this paper, a new Building Energy Performance Assessment Tool (BEPAT) is introduced, which provides users with granular data related to heat transfer through every single wall, window, door, roof, and floor in a building and automatically saves all the related data in text files. This information can be used to identify the envelope components for thermal improvement through energy retrofit or during the design phase. The generated data can also be adopted in the design of energy smart homes, building design tools, and energy retrofit tools as a supplementary dataset. BEPAT is developed by modifying EnergyPlus source code as the energy simulation engine using C++, which only requires Input Data File (IDF) and weather file to perform the energy simulation and automatically provide detailed output. To validate the BEPAT results, a computer model is developed in Revit for use in BEPAT. Validating BEPAT's output with EnergyPlus "advanced output" shows a difference of less than 2% and thus establishing the capability of this tool to facilitate the provision of detailed output on the quantity of heat transfer through walls, fenestrations, roofs, and floors.
