스파크음원을 이용한 철도소음 전파예측에 관한 기초적 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of Train Noise Propagation Using the Spark Discharge Sound Source)

  • This paper concerns the prediction of railway noise propagation using scale model experiment in acoustics. In order to make acoustical experiment the digital signal processing technique are applied and spark discharge sound sources have been developed in which impulse response measured in 1/20 scale model railway. In the case of scale model experiment, it is difficult to realize sufficiently small size and directivity and to get sufficient sound energy and to get repeatability. Several type of Spark discharge sound source is made in laboratory. Experiment results are compared with the calculated results by the prediction model. As the results, it was found that railway noise could be predicted in acoustical scale model experiment using spark discharge sound source.

음향주파수 분석에 의한 엔드밀의 마모상태 추정에 관한 연구 (A study on the Wear Estimation of End Mill Using Sound Frequency Analysis)

  • The wear process of end mill is a so complicated process that a more reliable technique is required for the monitoring and controling the tool life and its performance. This research presents a new tool wear monitoring method based on the sound signal generated on the machining. The experiment carried out continuous-side-milling for 4 cases using the high-speed steel slot drill under wet condition. The sound pressure was measured at 0.5m from the cutting zone by a dynamic microphone, and was analyzed at frequency domain. The tooth passing frequency appears as a harmonics form, and end mill wear is related with the first harmonic. It can be concluded from the result that the tool wear is correlate with the intensity of the measured sound at tooth passing frequency estimation of end mill wear using sound is possible through frequency analysis at tooth passing frequency under the given circumstances.

2차원적 음원추적에 관한 연구 (A Study on 2-Dimensional Sound Source Tracking System)

  • When navigating in or near an area of restricted visibility, it is necessary to be heard the whistle, bell and/or the siren of lighthouses or ships at times. Even though we can get the brief informations about the property of sound, the direction and range of a sound radiator, it is not enough to get the accurate informations for decision making. Generally the audio frequency is known as 16~20, 000Hz, but the earshot is shorten and discrimination of sound is more difficult when there is some noise. The sound pressure is 60dB at the moment when human speaks 1 meter away. Usually the noise pressures are 40dB in a silent room and 60dB on the quiet street, respectively. It this study, the basic algorithm and a method of signal processing are suggested to trace the direction and range of the source radiator using the signals received through not a physical sense but the microphone sensors.

분포형 광섬유 센서망을 이용한 외부 음향 주파수 탐지 (Detection of External Sound Frequency by Using the Distributed Fiber Optic Sensor Net)

  • In this paper, to detect external sound frequencies on the latticed structure, fiber optic sensor net using Sagnac interferometer was fabricated and tested. The latticed structure was fabricated with a dimension of 50 cm in width and 50 cm in height. The optical fiber of 50m in length was distributed and fixed on the surface of the latticed structure. Single mode fiber, a laser with 1,550 nm in wavelength, 2 ${\times}$ 2 coupler were used. External sound signal, 240 Hz, 495 Hz, 1.445 kHz, 2k Hz, applied to the fiber optic sensor net and the detected optical signals were compared to the detected microphone signals against time and frequency domains. Based on the experimental results, fiber optic sensor net using Sagnac interferometer detected external sound frequency, effectively. This system can be expanded to the structural health monitoring system.

PAK system 을 이용한 의료용 컴프레서의 진동.소음 전달경로 해석 (Transfer Path Analysis of vibration and noise for medical air compressor using PAK system)

  • As performance of medical air compressor improve, the problem of noise increased. Noise is very important to medical air compressor because most of this installed inside of building. The main goal of this paper is show TPA (Transfer Path Analysis) result for contribution analysis using PAK system. Generally, the conventional TPA method consists of two steps. First, transfer functions between output sound and sources are measured by excitation experiment. Second, transferred sound in each transfer path is generated by multiplying the transfer function and the sound source signal. Then, if the output sound synthesized from all transferred sounds doesn't give good agreement with the measured output sound (i.e., the accuracies of the transfer functions are low), setting a suitable countermeasure guideline becomes difficult. For obtaining highly accurate transfer functions, eliminating correlations among transfer functions and noise included in the measured data are necessary. In the new method with PAK system, the vibration acceleration and sound signals around the sound sources and the output sound were measured simultaneously to obtain the transfer functions when compressor was operating. By applying PAK system, a highly accurate and efficient transfer path analysis method was developed that does not require an excitation experiment.

레이저 도플러 간섭계를 이용한 원거리 소리 추출 (Remote Sound Extraction Using Laser Doppler Interferometer)

  • 본 논문에서는 어떤 음원에 의하여 진동하는 물체로부터 그 음원의 소리를 레이저 도플러 간섭계를 이용하여 원거리에서 복원하는 방법을 고안하고 실험적으로 시연하였다. 어떤 음파에 의하여 진동하는 물체를 간섭계를 통하여 측정할 경우, 측정되는 간섭계의 주파수는 도플러 효과에 의하여 그 소리의 주파수와 동일하게 변한다. 이 현상을 이용하여 어떤 소리에 영향을 받는 대상의 진동 주파수를 레이저 도플러 간섭계를 통해 원거리에서 실시간으로 측정하고, 간섭계 출력의 최대 주파수를 추적하는 신호처리를 통하여 얻은 결과가 음원의 소리와 같은 주파수 특성을 갖는다는 것을 실험적으로 확인하였다. 또한, 각각의 단일 톤 음원뿐만 아니라 여러 가지 주파수가 혼합된 음원의 복원도 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • MPEG Surround is an audio coding technology that represents multi-channel audio signal with downmixed audio signal(s) and very low bitrate side information based on Binaural Cue Coding. The side information consists of Inter-Channel Level Difference, Inter-Channel Correlation, and payloads. These two parameters are correspondent to the well-known spatial parameters in psycho-acoustics, Inter-aural Level Difference (ILD) and Inter-Aural Cross Correlation (IACC). Though ICLD is to provide perceptually equivalent ILD to the listener, however, the ILD of the original multi-channel audio signal and that of the MPEG Surround encoded signal was different. The difference between two ILD values is defined as ILD Distortion (ILDD). This paper provides how ILDD can be applied to enhance sound quality in MPEG Surround and how much ILDD is decreased.

기적신호의 스펙트럼 분석을 통한 음향수신장치의 방향탐지 알고리즘 설계 및 분석 (Design and analysis of direction indicating algorithm for sound reception system based on spectral analysis of whistle signal)

  • 본 논문에서는 스펙트럼 분석을 통해 선박 기적신호의 위상 차이를 이용한 음향수신장치의 방향탐지 알고리즘을 설계하고 분석한다. 제안하는 시스템은 한 지점에서 90도 간격의 네 방향을 향하도록 설치된 마이크로폰으로부터 기적신호를 수신한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 스펙트럼 분석을 통하여 각 수신 신호의 위상을 검출하고 인접한 2개의 마이크로폰으로부터 수신된 신호의 위상 차이를 얻음으로써 기적신호의 방향을 추정한다. 또한, 수신 신호의 도착 각도에 따라 인접한 두 수신 신호 사이의 위상 차이를 이론적으로 분석하고 DSP 칩을 이용하여 제안하는 시스템을 구현한다. 뿐만 아니라, 구현된 시스템을 이용하여 실험실 환경에서 제안하는 알고리즘의 동작을 검증한다. 실험 결과는 제안하는 방식이 기적신호의 방향을 잘 추정할 수 있음을 보여준다.
