Definition end Function of Two Song Types of the Bush Warbler (Cettia diphone boreoalis)

  • It has been suggested that the bush warbler (Cettia diphone borealis) uses different song types in various situations. We analyzed song features and conducted playback experiments in order to reveal the function of songs of the bush warbler. Two song types were identified. The short song type has a shorter song duration than that of normal song types and consists of only one or two syllables. Due to its short syllable and low amplitude of the whistle portion, we were able to discriminate the short song type (S song type). from the normal song type (N song Type). In the playback experiments, bush warblers sang high rates of short song type for the first three minutes after playback. After 6 minutes of playback, males changed to singing normal songs. These results suggest that the short song of the bush warbler may function to threaten or drive off intruding males.

여산 송씨 일가 묘 출토 바지 고찰 (The Research for the Pants Excavated from the Tombs of Yeosan Song's Family)

  • This purpose of this study is to announce the research for the formative characteristics and the constructive characteristics for the 23 pair of pants excavated from the tomb of Yeosan Song's family at Mokdal Dong in Daejeon. Men and women wore the open-type over the close-type pants. Song Hyo-sang and Chungjoo Park wore the 1 or 2 pairs of the open-type pants over the 3 pairs of close-type pants. Song Hee-jong and his wife Sonhung An wore a pair of the open-style pants over the 1 or 2 pairs of pants. It was due to the shortage of goods by the war that Song Heejong had less shrouds than Song Hyosang. The pants were almost made of the cotton and the silk. The open-type pants worn inside was made of the cotton but outside was made of the silk. That time the cotton was used for the unlined underwears for the health and the protection against the cold and the hot. The silk was used for the outwear. In the construction type, 12 pairs of pants were unlined, 6 pairs of pants were quilted, 4 pairs of pants were padded, and 1 pair of pants was lined. All unlined were the close-type and the quilted and padded pants were the open-type, which were worn inside. Lined type was just one. In the wearing order of shrouds, type, textile, and constructive type, Song Hyosang and Chungjo Park were similar, Song Heejong and Sonhung An were similar.

울산쇠부리소리의 전승현황과 변이양상 연구 (The Transmission and Changes Of UlsanSoeburi Song)

  • 이 글은 울산지역에서 전승되는 쇠부리소리의 전승과 변이에 대한 연구이다. 먼저, 울산 쇠부리소리는 울산 한실과 도덕골, 두동, 병영 등 모두 울산지방에서 채록된 자료라는데 그 일차적 의의가 있다. 이 점은 쇠부리소리가 원형과 전형을 잘 간직하고 있는 울산 고유의 소리라는 지역적 정체성과 연결된다. 울산이 쇠부리의 도시인 동시에 쇠부리소리의 본향이 될 수 있는 근거이다. 쇠부리소리 사설의 특징은 한실쇠부리소리와 도덕골쇠부리소리가 다름을 알 수 있다. 한실의 최재만은 구비시인으로서 훌륭한 자질을 갖춘 사람이라고 보여 진다. 그는 공식적 구조 원리에 충실한 구연자이자 불매소리의 '원사설(원형)'을 가장 잘 갖춘 구연자이기 때문이다. 따라서 최재만의 쇠부리불매소리는 노동의 순수함과 신성함을 느끼게 하는 사설과 일치된 행동으로 일의 힘듦을 단합된 모습으로 승화시키는 곡조로 결합되어 노동요로서 미적 의미를 부여받고 있다. 도덕골 김달오의 불매소리는 공식구를 바탕으로 하되, 임기응변적 구연에 능한 인물이었다는 것을 알 수 있다. 울산 쇠부리소리의 전승과 변이 양상은 '기본형' '변주형', '종합형'으로 나누었다. '기본형'은 한실 최재만의 쇠부리소리에서 출발했으며, '변주형'은 도덕골 김달오의 쇠부리소리와 울산 지방에서 전승되던 쇠부리금줄소리가 어울려 울산 쇠부리놀이가 탄생한 것이다. '종합형'은 기존의 소리에다 달천지역과 가까운 병영지역에서 불리던 아기어르는불매소리와 성냥간불매소리를 채록하여 지금의 쇠부리 소리가 탄생하게 된 것이다. 울산 쇠부리소리는 이와 같이 끝없는 전승과 변이의 과정을 거치면 울산 지역을 대표하는 민요로 그 정체성을 확보하며 지속적으로 전승되고 있다.

송(宋)·금(金)·원(元) 시대 광의의 삼초변증(三焦辨證) (Extended Type of Symptom Discrimination for Triple Energizers (三焦) in Song (宋), Jin (金) and Yuan (元) Dynasty)

  • Objectives : In order to prove the extended type of symptom discrimination for triple energizers in Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasty. Methods : Extract the topic-related contents from the books, with key words, triple energizers. After arraying them from this sources according to time order, analyze the data. Results : Analyzing its history from symptom, prescription, and discrimination proved the fact that the extended type of symptom discrimination for triple energizers had been developed continually, and assured that it did not play an important role in forming the narrow type of its symptom discrimination for Wen Bing (溫病) in Qing (淸) Dynasty, but also had been advanced separately from its type for Wen Bing. Conclusions : Symptom discrimination for triple energizers in Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasty gradually went far to become its extended type which widely used for Za Bing (雜病), Wen Bing, and diseases for pediatrics and dermatology.

  • Mongolian folk songs are inspired by Mongolian labor songs and are classified into long and short songs. Mongolian long songs have ancient origins, are rich in legends, and are a great source of folklore. So it was inscribed by UNESCO in 2008. Mongolian written literature is formed under the direct influence of oral literature. Mongolian long song has 3 classes: ayzam, suman, and besreg by their lyrics and structure. In ayzam long song, the world perfectly embodies the philosophical nature of world phenomena and the nature of human life. Suman long song has a wide range of topics such as the common way of life, respect for ancestors, respect for fathers, respect for mountains and water, livestock and animal husbandry, as well as the history of Mongolia. Besreg long songs are dominated by commanded and trained characters. In this paper, we proposed a method to classify their 3 types of long songs using machine learning, based on their lyrics structures without semantic information. We collected lyrics of over 80 long songs and extracted 11 features from every single song. The features are the name of a song, number of the verse, number of lines, number of words, general value, double value, elapsed time of verse, elapsed time of 5 words, and the longest elapsed time of 1 word, full text, and type label. In experimental results, our proposed features show on average 78% recognition rates in function type machine learning methods, to classify the ayzam, suman, and besreg classes.

송대(宋代) 복식에 표현된 선의 유형과 조형특성 (Types and Formative Characteristics of Seon Expressed in the Costume of Chinese Song(宋) Dynasty)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate Seon expressed in the costume of Chinese Song. For the purpose, this researcher classified types of Seon, found in the Chinese costume, in terms of composition method, decorative technique and used materials. In addition, the researcher attempted to analyze formative characteristics of Sean in accordance with the range and post of use, pattern and color combination. Seon expressed in the costume of Chinese Song can be classified into standard, decoration, application and Buseon in type. When the typical distribution of Seon expressed in the costume of Chinese Song, standard type was highest in percentage, especially different color type. Looking at the range of use, Seon was mainly used for outfits, especially Jikcheol(直?) and Hakchangeui for men and Baeja(背子) for women. Looking at the post of use, Seon was mainly used to edges of costume and sometimes also to seams. In regard to materials of Seon, they were selectively used depending on the existence or non-existence, size and brilliance or non-brilliance of pattern employed in the texture of Seon. The most commonly used pattern of Seon was single-type pattern, especially the pattern of plant. Pattern arrangement was most often filling in type. Concerning the color combination of Seon, men's dress most often used black-white combination, followed by different color combination while, women's dress most often employed complementary color combination, followed by different color combination.

국내 수집종 꽃향유의 정유성분 특성 (Characteristics of Volatile Oil Components in Elsholtzia splendens Nakai Collected in Korea)

  • 이 연구는 국내 8개 지역에서 수집한 꽃향유의 정유성분을 분석하여 화학형을 분류하고, 이들 화학형 성분이 항산화 작용과 식품부패균을 억제하는 효과가 있는지를 알고자 하였다. 정유성분 분석결과 3개의 화학형으로 구분할 수 있었다. 화학형 1의 주성분은 dihydrotaketone (DT type)이었다. 개화기를 기준하여 꽃향유의 개체에 따라 naginatketone (NK type)이 60% 이상을 함유한 것과 elsholtziaketone (EK type)을 60% 이상 함유한 개체로 분류할 수 있었고, 또한 이들 두 성분은 종자세대 후에도 EK type은 elsholtziaketone이 주성분으로 나타났고 NK type은 naginataketone이 주성분인 것이 확인되었다. 따라서 NK type은 제2 화학형으로 그리고 EK type은 제3 화학형으로 구별하였다. 항산화 효과는 $6\;mg/{\ell}$ 농도에서 나타났으며, 같은 농도에서 DT>NK>EK 순으로 항산화능을 보였다. NK type은 Streptomyces와 Bicillus에서, EK type은 Streptomyces와 Pseudomonas에서 높은 항균능력을 보였다.

화관에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Whakwan)

  • This study investigated the history of whakwan (crown, 화관(花冠)) and classified the types of whakwan accordint to its structure. Whakwan seemed to originate from the custome of sticking flowers in the hair which was the reflection of human desire of pursuing the beauty . The whakwan fist appeared in the Oriental painting during the Tang period and became fashionable is Song. It is not clear when whakwan was introduced into Korea, but is assumed to be greatly influenced by the Song whakwan. The Korean record on whakwan showed on whakwan showed fro the fist time in the reign of Kimg Sejong and whakwan was used for the costume of a dancing boy. Through the present type of whakwan appeared only one in the painting of the reign of King Seonjo, there are a number of whakwans in the lattern part of the Chosun dynasty, Now there exist three types of whakwan in Korea. The first type is similar to that of Chokduri in decoration . But it was made of paper, had the double structures of inner and outer part and was decorated by Yangkwan's vertical lines of gilt paper. The second type is the whakwan made of artifical flowers with various color cords and was widely used in Geesung and Pyungyang regions. Finally, though the third type is similar to Sabangkwan, its outside was decorated gaudilly iby Dangchae (colorful painting ) and it was assumed that dancing bodys put it on their head for various banquets. Out of these three types, the first is most representative , Black was the popularly used color for the first type and this type was used either for brides on wedding ceremonies or for shamans or palace dancers. The second type was widely used in Gaesung and Pyungyang regions. But the differences in the shape of whakwan of the two regions showed the regional characteristics of traditional costumes in Korea. The third type was most likely to be used in the dance for palace banquets, but it is necessary to further investigate whether shamans actually wore this type of whakwan.

고온고압법에 의한 Type II, Type I aB 갈색 다이아몬드의 색향상 (Color Enhancement of the Type II and Type I aB Brown Diamonds into Colorless by HPHT Process)

  • It is possible to enhance the color of the natural diamond with a high pressure high temperature(HPHT) process. We employed a pyrophyllite tube cell and cubic press apparatus for HPHT treatment on the brown colored Type II (5.6 GPa/ $1700^{\circ}C$/ 52 min), and Type I aB(5.6 GPa/ $1650^{\circ}C$/ 30 min) diamond samples. We investigated the microstructure, Types, fluorescence, properties of the diamonds with an optical microscopy, FT-IR, photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy, Diamond-View, and micro-Raman spectroscopy. Two tinted brown diamonds changed into colorless just after the HPHT process. Optical microscopy showed that no crack and significant inclusion evolution occurred during the HPHT process except the small graphite spot appeared in Type I aB sample. FTIR spectrum confirmed that no Type, amber center, and platelet defect change with the HPHT treatment. Diamond-View could not distinguish the HPHT treated diamonds from the naturals. PL spectroscopy showed that N3 and H3 color centers remained even after HPHT process. Consequently, we successfully changed the color of diamonds into colorless by 5.6 GPa HPHT process.
