We have fabricated SmBCO coated conductor on IBAD-MgO substrates using unique co-evaporation method. The batch type co-deposition system was specially designed and named as EDDC(evaporation using drum m dual chamber) that is possible to deposit superconducting layer with different composition ratio at low temperature of $700^{\circ}C$. In this study, we have investigated the influence of SmBCO phase composition and texture of IBAD-MgO template on the critical current density. We have changed the deposition rates of Sm, Ba and Cu during co-evaporation to examine the optimal composition ratio shown better critical current density. The composition ratio and surface morphology of SmBCO coated conductors were analyzed by the EDX and SEM, respectively. A higher critical current density was measured at superconducting phase composition ratio of Ba deficiency, Sm or Cu rich compared to the Sm1Ba2Cu3Ox stoichiometry.
This study investigated the effects of astaxanthin, which is used to improve the muscle color of fish, on the nutritional composition of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The trout were fed extruded pellets containing astaxanthin (pigmented rainbow trout) or without astaxanthin (non-pigmented rainbow trout). No significant differences in the contents of crude protein and crude ash between the two muscles of the two groups were observed. However, the crude fat composition of the muscle of pigmented rainbow trout was about two times higher than that of control muscle. In the muscle of pigmented rainbow trout, the contents of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5n-3), which are functional polyunsaturated fatty acids, were 1.6 fold higher than in non-pigmented muscle. In addition, the contents of minerals such as Zn and Fe, vitamins (B group, C, and E), free amino acids, carotenoids and astaxanthin were increased in the muscle of rainbow trout fed pellets supplemented with astaxanthin. Specifically, the content of the bioactive compound astaxanthin, was increased six times in the pigmented muscle, as compared to the control muscle. The results suggest that a diet supplemented with astaxanthin improves the nutritional composition of rainbow trout muscle as well as improving the muscle color.

The purpose of this study was to investage the effects of dietary bamboo charcoal on the carcass characteristics and meat quality of fattening pigs. Fifty four crossed pigs of $61.0{\pm}1.0$ kg body weight (BW) were grouped and housed in 6 animals (3 barrows and 3 gilts) per pen and 3 replications per treatment. The basal diet (C) was supplied with 0.3% bamboo charcoal as treatment 1 (T1) and 0.6 % as treatment 2 (T2). The pigs were fed that experimental diet for 42 days, thereafter 10 longissimus dorsi (LD) per treatment were randomly collected at the time the pigs reached an average weight of $110.0{\pm}5.0$ kg. The carcass weight, backfat thickness, and the carcass grade were better (p<0.05) in the pigs fed bamboo charcoal than in C. The crude fat concentration of LD was higher (p<0.05) in T1 than in C. While the composition of stearic acid and arachidonic acid was lower (p<0.05) in treatments than in C, the composition of oleic acid and linoleic acid of treatments was higher (p<0.05) than C. The physico-chemical characteristics, such as meat color and amino acid composition of LD were not affected (p>0.05) by the supplemented bamboo charcoal. In conclusion, dietary supplementation with bamboo charcoal improved the carcass grade and fatty acids composition of pork meat from fattening pigs, where the composition of unsaturated fatty acids was increased, but that of saturated fatty acids was decreased.

[Purpose] The study aimed to determine the effects of bone-specific physical activity on body composition, bone mineral density (BMD), and health-related physical fitness in middle-aged women. [Methods] One hundred eighty-six middle-aged women aged 31-49 years participated in this study. The subjects were divided into tertile groups according to the level of physical activity (low-score group, n=62; middle-score group, n=62; high-score group, n=62). Bone-specific physical activity participation was assessed using the bone-specific physical activity questionnaire. Body composition and BMD were measured using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. Health-related physical fitness test included isometric muscle strength (grip strength), muscular endurance (sit-ups), flexibility (sit and reach), and cardiorespiratory fitness (maximal oxygen uptake [VO2max]). [Results] The high-score group had a significantly higher fat-free mass (p=.045, partial eta-squared value[ηp2]=.033) than the middle- and low-score groups, whereas the high-score group had significantly lower percent body fat (p=.005, ηp2=.056) than the other two groups. Whole-body BMD (p=.034, ηp2=.036) and lumbar BMD (p=.003, ηp2=.060) were significantly higher in the high-score group than in the low-score group. The high-score group performed significantly better for grip strength (p=.0001, ηp2=.101), sit-ups (p=.0001, ηp2=.108), and VO2max (p=.0001, ηp2=.092) than the other two groups. [Conclusion] The present study suggests that bone-specific physical activity could be useful in improving body composition, BMD, and health-related physical fitness in middle-aged women, significantly enhancing their BMD and health conditions.
$Pb_{1-x}$$Cd_{x}$$I_2$ (x=0.0, 0.2, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.0) single crystals were grown by using Bridgman method and their structural and optical properties were investigated from the measurement of X-ray diffraction, optical absorption and photoluminescence. As-grown single crystals have hexagonal closed packed layered structure. The values of lattice constant c decrease with increasing composition x. Direct and indirect transition optical energy band gaps are calculated from optical absorption spectra measured at room temperature. They increase exponentially from 2.3eV to 3.2 eV with increasing composition x. The energies of photoluminescence peak due to donor bound exciton measured at 6K increase with increasing composition . However, the peak energies of donor-acceptor pair (DAP) are independent of the optical energy band gaps of $Pb_{1-x}$/$Cd_{x}$$I_2$ single crystals.
Clay-based membranes with submicron pore size were successfully prepared by a simple pressing process using low-cost starting materials(e.g., kaolin (K), bentonite (B), talc (T), and sodium borate). The green bodies were sintered at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 2 h in air. The effect of clay-mineral composition on the flexural strength of clay-based membranes was investigated. The porosity of the clay-based membranes could be controlled within the range of 34 - 42% by adjusting the starting composition. The flexural strength of the low-cost membranes depended on both the porosity and the ${\alpha}$-quartz content. In turn, the porosity and ${\alpha}$-quartz content were affected by the (B+T) /(K+B+T) ratio. The plot of strength relative to this ratio, showed a maximum when the ratio was 0.4. The typical flexural strength of these clay-based membranes (with ratio 0.4) was 28 MPa at 34% porosity.

The applicability of $LiNbO_{3}$ as a substrate for fabrication of Ti-indiffused waveguide electro-optic devices is limited. Ti diffuses comparatively in congruently melting $LiNbO_{3}$; the Curie temperature of this material is too low to permit diffusion temperatures much above $1100^{\circ}C$ without the necessity of re-poling the crystal. Both of hese difficulties could be eliminated by incorporating certain dopants in $LiNbO_{3}$. Crystals of $LiNbO_{3}$ doped with Ti and Mg were grown and evaluated. The electroptic coefficients and birefringence of $LiNbO_{3}$ doped crystals were measured at ${\lambda}=.6328$ and $1.32\;$\mu{m}$. Curie temperatures were measured. The Curie temperature of both undoped and Ti-doped $LiNbO_{3}$ was $1130^{\circ}C$; that for Mg-doped $LiNbO_{3}$ was $30^{\circ}$ higher. From these data, a composition for the crystals was estimated. Thermogravimetric data confirmed this estimate and showed that the composition of Mg : $LiNbO_{3}$ was $49.3{\pm}0.2mole%\;Li_{2}O$ ; the composition of the undoped and Ti : $LiNbO_{3}$ samples was $48.6{\pm}0.2mole%$. Diffusion of Ti into both Mg-doped and Ti-doped $LiNbO_{3}$ crystals was studied as a function of $Li/NbO_{3}$ ratio and temperature.

A study for species composition and abundance of the fish assemblages in the coastal Sacheon Bay, Korea were conducted using monthly collection by a shrimp beam trawl from March 2015 to February 2016. The number of individuals, biomass and species diversity indices fluctuated with the station and month. Of all 73 species collected, the dominant species in terms of numbers were Liparis tanakae, Zoarces gillii, Amblychaeturichthys hexanema, Ricuzenius pinetorum and Pleuronichys cornutus. The peak number of fishes occurred in March and April, whereas the biomass of fishes was highest in April. The numbers and biomass of fishes were lower in February corresponding with the low temperature, and diversity indices were highest in June. Due to those seasonal difference in abundance of the dominant species, fish community were divided into three main groups. In addition, seasonal difference by station of fish community were devided into four main groups. Juvenile fishes of coastal Sacheon were presented during the study period. It presented that the study area served as an important role in spawning and nursery ground for fisheries resource.
