쑥을 이용한 천연염색의 염색성과 항균성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dyeability and Antibiotic Activities of Natural Dyeing with Artemisia)

  • This study purposes to find the best one for dyeing with artemisia in order to develop a more efficient method of dyeing with artemisia and investigates the antibiotic activities of artemisia. After dyeing cotton, rayon, silk, wool and nylon fabrics with dyebath extracted from artemisia, observation on dyeability by temperature, concentration and time has been carried out. And I took an observation on color change, color fastness to washing and color fastness to light after mordanting treatment. Also observation on the antibiotic properties of non-dyed fabrics, artemisia-dyed fabrics and artemisia-dyed fabrics with post-mordant has been performed to investigate the antibiotic activities of artemisia. And the following results have been obtained. 1. The dyeability of artemisia was better for protein fabrics such as silk or woo and amide-based synthetic fabrics like nylon than for cellulose fabrics such as cotton and rayon. 2. For all tested fabrics, the dyeability was increased as the concentration of artemisia dyebath, dyeing time and dyeing temperature was increased. Especially the dye ability for protein fabrics was most affected by the temperature, and high dyeability was obtained at high temperatures. 3. For the color fastness of artemisia-dyed fabrics with mordanting treatment, the color fastness to washing was good with grade of 4-5 while the color fastness to light ranged from grade 2 to grade 3, which requires improvement for practical use. 4. The artemisia-dyed fabrics were shown to have much higher antibiosis than the non-dyed fabrics, and the artemisia-dyed fabrics with mortanting treatment showed the following result; Cu 99.9%, Al 64% and bittern 64.7%.

광색가변 및 색온도 제어용 100[W]급 투광기 개발 (Development of 100[W] LED Flood Lighting with Tunable Colors and Color Temperatures)

  • 이 논문에서는 100[W]급 Discrete LED 투광기 조명 제품 개발에 관한 것으로, 3[W] RGBA LED를 이용하여 광색 및 색온도 제어가 가능하도록 광학/방열/회로/시스템 설계를 통한 시제품을 제작하였다. 그 결과, 색온도 $2,000{\sim}10,000[K]$ 범위에서 흑체궤적에 정확히 일치하면서 연색지수가 $71{\sim}91$까지 고연색성을 실현하였으며, 동작전압 $90{\sim}250[Vac]$, 효율 87[%], 역률 93이상의 양호한 전기적 특성을 나타냈다. 또한 투광기의 협각/중각/광자 배광을 만족하기 위하여 LED 렌즈를 설계하였으며, 신뢰성 확보 및 주위온도에 따른 광출력 변화를 최소화할 수 있는 방열설계를 실시하였다.

중국왕조 인물화에 나타난 화장문화 비교 (A Study of ancient Make-up trends in Chinese Portrait paintings)

  • When analyzing make-up trends of figures shown in portraits of different eras in Chinese painting history, you can see that red color was used much. This can be because the red color is the most outstanding among all the colors and was most preferred by ancient people, as the color of the sun, the blood, and the sacredness. The women in the Tang Dynasty was especially using the red color much. Though Seongrihak (Neo-Confucianism) in Song Dynasty was the governing ideology, it had an influence even upon its aesthetics. Thus, during Song Dynasty, the beauty of logos appeared too. This phenomenon showed a conservative tendency even in make-up as well as in costume, thereby the concept of clear and elegant beauty was emphasized. The real figure in the Ming and Ching Dynasty, was so young and weak as a sample of a delicate woman that a woman who had feminine beauty was regarded as an ideal type. The feminine image had been gradually generalized from the literary works in the latter half of Ming Dynasty. However, the painters in the era still preferred the beauty of a healthy woman. That tendency probably had an influence even upon make-up culture that was shown in portrait. As an analysis result of make-up culture in Chinese portrait paintings, it reveals that ancient make-up trends much reflected the social and cultural phenomena of the periods.

Color-Tuning Mechanism of the Lit Form of Orange Carotenoid Protein

  • Orange carotenoid protein (OCP) of photosynthetic cyanobacteria binds to ketocarotenoids noncovalently and absorbs excess light to protect the host organism from light-induced oxidative damage. Herein, we found that mutating valine 40 in the α3 helix of Gloeocapsa sp. PCC 7513 (GlOCP1) resulted in blue- or red-shifts of 6-20 nm in the absorption maxima of the lit forms. We analyzed the origins of absorption maxima shifts by integrating X-ray crystallography, homology modeling, molecular dynamics simulations, and hybrid quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics calculations. Our analysis suggested that the single residue mutations alter the polar environment surrounding the bound canthaxanthin, thereby modulating the degree of charge transfer in the photoexcited state of the chromophore. Our integrated investigations reveal the mechanism of color adaptation specific to OCPs and suggest a design principle for color-specific photoswitches.

큐빅지르코니아의 열처리에 의한 색변화 기구 연구 (A Study on the Color Change Mechanism by Vacuum Annealing in Cubic Zirconia)

  • 스컬 용융법으로 제조된 유색 큐빅지르코니아의 색향상을 위해서 $1200^{\circ}C$, $1400^{\circ}C$에서 10~60분으로 조건을 바꾸면서 진공열처리를 실시하였다. 진공열처리 시간과 온도가 증가함에 따라 준비된 3가지의 큐빅지르코니아는 점점 채도가 떨어지면서 파스텔톤의 바디 색을 유지하다가 궁극적으로 흑색으로 변화하였다. 일반적인 보석감정법과 XPS를 활용하여 이러한 색변화에 따른 물성의 정량적 변화와 메카니즘을 알아보았다. 열처리에 의한 색변화에 따른 경도와 밀도의 변화는 확인할 수 없었다. XPS에 의해서, 진공열처리에 따른 큐빅지르코니아의 색변화는 상안정제로 혼합된 $Y_2O_3$의 Y-O의 산화수 변화에 따른 현상임을 확인하였다.

Comparing the Dyeing Properties of Synthetic Mordants and Hwangsu Spring

  • To evaluate the Hwangsu spring as natural mordants effect on dyeing. The natural mordant effect of Hwangsu spring was analyzed by pH, temperature, trace elements and organic matter. Hwangsu spring having pH 2.42 and $14.4^{\circ}C$ was harvested at the end of September, 2011, in Yeongcheon(Gyeongbuk Province, Korea) and left on a $0^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$ before use. The Result of ICP analysis, it contain bned Fe(414.9 ppm), Al(88.9 ppm), Mn(4.9 ppm). Dyeing and post-mordant procedure; Fabrics(cotton, silk, rayon) were dyed with natural colorants(Sopbora Japonica L., Caesalpinia sappan L., Allium cepa L.) for 20 min at $80^{\circ}C$. Hwangsu spring, aluminium sulfate $14-18H_2O(Al_2(SO_4)_3{\cdot}14-18H_2O)$, iron sulfate peptahydrate($FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$), copper sulfate pentahydrate($CuSO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$) were used by post mordants. But in the case of Caesalpinia sappan L. was dyed after pre-mordanting with Al(II). The fabrics were dyed with each mordant solutions at $25^{\circ}C$ for 10min. The colorless also was measured by color-differnce meter. Comparison with a synthetic mordants, the K/S values of cotton fabrics dyed with Hwangsu sping were increased.

  • 최근 한국에서는 대부분의 사람들이 안드로이드 기반의 스마트폰을 사용하고 있고, 뮤직플레이어는 어느 스마트폰에서나 찾아볼 수 있다. 그러나 뮤직 플레이어들 중 사용자의 취향이나, 음악을 듣는 성향에 맞춰진 개인화된 애플리케이션은 찾아보기 힘든 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 음악을 분석하여 감정에 따라 자동으로 분류하고, 사용자가 입력한 감정에 따라 추천하며, 사용자의 선호도를 반영하는 기능을 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 음악을 색채를 통해 시각화함으로써 사용자가 음악을 보다 쉽게 느낄 수 있도록 구현된 감성 뮤직 플레이어를 제안한다. 이를 통해 사용자는 선곡의 어려움을 해소하고 자신에게 최적화된 애플리케이션을 사용할 수 있다.

갈색 Type I 다이아몬드의 고압 열처리에 따른 표면 흑연화 생성 연구 (Surface Graphite Formation of the Brown Colored Type I Diamonds During High Pressure Annealing)

  • We investigated color and graphite layer formation on the surface of Type I tinted brown diamonds exposed for 5 minutes under a high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) condition in a stable graphite regime. We executed the HPHT processes of Process I, varying the temperature from $1600^{\circ}C$ to $2300^{\circ}C$ under 5.2 GPa pressure for 5 minutes, and Process II, varying the pressure from 4.2 to 5.7 GPa at $2150^{\circ}C$ for 5 minutes. Optical microscopy and micro-Raman spectroscopy were used to check the microstructure and surface layer phase evolution. For Process I, we observed a color change to vivid yellow and greenish yellow and the growth of a graphite layer as the temperature increased. For Process II, the graphite layer thickness increased as the pressure decreased. We also confirmed by 531 nm micro-Raman spectroscopy that all diamonds showed a $1440cm^{-1}$ characteristic peak, which remained even after HPHT annealing. The results implied that HPHT-treated colored diamonds can be distinguished from natural stones by checking for the existence of the $1440cm^{-1}$ peak with 531 nm micro-Raman spectroscopy.

아두이노와 컬러센서를 이용한 색상 감지 기술 (Color Sensing Technology using Arduino and Color Sensor)

  • 컬러 센서는 인체를 포함한 물체의 사진을 촬영하여 모니터로 재현해 줄 대 사용하는 광학 센서이다. 컬러 센서는 물체에서 나오는 적색, 녹색, 청색의 빛을 각각 정량화하여 디지털 숫자로 표현하며, 그 값들을 비교하거나 혹은 그 비율을 비교하여 물체의 상태를 판단할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 모니터에서 발현되는 표준 색상을 컬러 센서로 측정하여 서로간의 적색, 녹색, 청색 성분의 크기 즉 RGB 값들을 비교하였다. 컬러 센서 TCS 34725로 측정하였을 때 컴퓨터에서 발생시키는 빛이 적색, 녹색, 청색 빛 중 한 개 혹은 두 개의 빛 만으로 구성되어 있는 경우에도 컬러 센서는 세 가지 성분을 모두 검출하였다. 또한 같은 RGB 값을 가지는 두 가지 모니터의 색상도 컬러 센서로 측정하면 서로 다른 RGB 값이 측정되었다. 이 결과들은 모니터에 색상을 발현하는 데 이용되는 컬러 필터들의 불완전함과 컬러 센서에 사용되는 포토다이오드 들이 광 특성이 불완전하기 때문이라고 할 수 있다. 물체를 촬영하여 그 색상으로 그 물체의 상태를 판단할 때는 동일한 기종의 카메라 혹은 스마트 폰을 이용해야 할 것이다

해학반도도 채색안료에 대한 비파괴 특성 분석 (The Nondestructive Analysis of the Pigments on the Korean 12-fold scheen, Haehakbando-do)

  • A large variety of mineral pigments has been used for Korean paintings and it has known that organic pigments have been used together on the Buddhist painting and the portrait. Haehakbando-do, which is from Honolulu Academy Museum in the United States, 12-fold screen was commissioned by Court of the late Joseon Dynasty in order to pray for the King's longevity. Therefore, it seems that all material used including pigments were selected very carefully and a great deal of technical effort was gone into its process. The purposes of this research were to estimate the pigments and the contributory elements of each color used on Haehakbando-do, in accordance with the conservation treatment carried out by Gochang Conservation Institute throughout last year. Without extracting sample, property of pigment was measured by nondestructive method, X-ray spectral analysis, and by comparing with the data about ancient pigments. In spite of the limited range of pigment analysis by nondestructive method, it should be noted that this method would not cause damage to the cultural properites. White pigment was found in all colored parts except the background, so it can be suggested that white color was used as a grounding of other color pigments. This would be flake white[$2PbCO_3{\cdot}Pb(OH)_2$] as Pb was found. Pb was the only element could be found in yellow, however, it can be organic pigment like Gamboge as same as background. Red would be Cinnabar (HgS) as hydrargyrum (Hg) was detected. For the light purple in cloud, organic pigments were probably used since any element is not detected except for Pb, which is used for background. It is possible that green color is the mixture of Malachite[$CuCO_3{\cdot}Cu(OH)_2$] and Azurite [$2CuCO_3{\cdot}Cu(OH)_2$], which share Cu as their main element. Azurite[$2CuCO_3{\cdot}Cu(OH)_2$] was used for bluish pigments. Black is carbon compound. For gold, solid gold (Au) was detected. It shows that gold was gilded on the flake white background. Red painted on the frame of screen was identified as Cinnabar (HgS) and the gold pattern was solid gold (Au). The supporting leg of folding screen was made of brass because both copper and zinc were detected. In conclusion, white pigment was used as grounding of all colors of Haehakbando-do, and specific pigments were used for each color. Additionally, result from the analysis of several pigments shows that mineral pigment and organic pigment, or different mineral pigments were mixed to make various colors.
