  • This experiment was carried out to study on the acute toxicity of Thesium Chinese Turczaninow solution for aqua-acupuncture. Test material was manufactured by 'Water Alcohol method'. Mice and rats were used for this test. According to this experimental results, there were not observed any acute toxicity with Thesium Chinese Turczaninow solution for aqua-acupuncture. So Thesium Chinese Turczaninow solition for aqua-acupuncture is considered a have level of cliniccal safety. It is expected to be clinically helpful, and it is considered that continuous study is necessary.

  • In this paper, we study Riemannian submersions whose total manifold admits h-almost Ricci-Yamabe soliton. We characterize the fibers of the submersion and see under what conditions the fibers form h-almost Ricci-Yamabe soliton. Moreover, we find the necessary condition for the base manifold to be an h-almost Ricci-Yamabe soliton and Einstein manifold. Later, we compute scalar curvature of the total manifold and using this we find the necessary condition for h-almost Yamabe solition to be shrinking, expanding and steady. At the end, we give a non-trivial example.

  • Local anesthetics produce pain during infiltration into skin. The relationship between local anesthetic-induced pain and pH of the local anesthetic solution has not been fully investigated. Commercial preparation of local anesthetics are prepared as acidic solutions of the salts to promote solubility and stability. And the acidity of local anesthetic solition may be related with the pain during infiltration of the solutione. So, we tried to neutralize the lidocaine hydrochloride solution which is one of the most frequently used local anesthetic agent. Sodium bicarbonate was used for neutralization. Sodium bicarbonate was mixed with lidocaine hydrochloride until the resulting pH of the solution become 7.4 which is identical to the acidity of body fluid. To identify the effect of neutralized lidocaine solution, we had a course of double blind test to 6 volunteers. Both forearm of each volunteer were injected with neutralized lidocaine and plain one, and the degree of pain was estimated by each volunteers. According to subjective description by the volinteers, everyone felt neutralized lidocaine injection site was less painful than plain lidocaine. We concluded that we could reduce pain from infiltration of lidocaine hydrochloride by neutralization of the anesthetic solution with sodium bicarbonate.

  • We numerically investigate a stable propagation regime of soliton pulse trains in fibers with periodically copensated loss by lumped optical amplifiers. When amplification solition pulses is 1.2~1.5 and the minimum soliton separation normalized by the soliton width becomes about 6. In cases of L=50[km], the allowable range of A is 1.5~1.7 under =6. The maximum allowable variation of the loss compensation in each lumped amplifier becomes +-2% of the fiber loss when L=50[km], A=1.6, and =6. Generally, the allowable rages of the soliton amplitude A and amplifier gain are inversely proportional to the amplification period L.

  • The electronic absorption and Raman spectra of $\alpha\omega-diphenylpolyenyl$, anions Ph(CH)nPh- (DPn- , n = 3, 5, 7, 9, and 13), with odd number of carbons at the polyene part, have been studied in the tetrahydrofuran (THF) solutions and in their solid film states, respectively. In the case of Raman spectra for DPn- , the frequencies and relative intensities of some Raman peaks regularly change with the increase of polyene chain length. The spectral patterns of anions (DPn- ) are very similar with those of radical anion (DPn${\cdot}$- ). However, the C=C stretching peaks of DPn- anions are observed in the 25-35 cm-1 higher frequency region than those of DPn${\cdot}$- radical anions. In the case of long chain models such as DP9- and DP13- , the C=C stretching peaks are observed in even higher frequency region than those of the corresponding neutral polyenes such as DP8, DP10, and DP12. The Raman patterns of DPn- anions in the THF solutions are similar with those in their solid film states. On the other hand, their electronic absorption spectra show a considerable difference each other. The n- ${\pi}*$ electronic absorption bands of DPn- anions in the THF solutions have been observed in the 0.27-0.39 eV lower energy region than those in their solid film states due to the solvent effects on polyene anions.
