조형가공기술을 이용한 인공지지체의 수산화나트륨 개질 효과 (Effect of Sodium Hydroxide Treatment on Scaffold by Solid Freeform Fabrication)

  • 조직공학에서의 인공지지체는 세포의 부착과 증식 및 분화가 잘 되어야 하고, 우수한 생체친화성 및 생분해성을 지녀야 한다. 다양한 인공지지체 제작 방법이 시도되어지고 있으며, 최근들어 3D 프린팅 기술을 이용한 방식이 활발하게 연구되어지고 있다. 폴리카프로락톤(polycaprolactone, PCL)은 낮은 녹는점을 가지고 있어 3D 프린팅하기에 우수한 생체적합 고분자 합성재료이다. 본 연구에서는 3D 프린팅 기술을 이용하여 3차원 PCL 인공지지체를 제작하였고, 지지체의 표면개질을 위해 수산화나트륨(NaOH)을 이용하였다. 표면개질된 인공지지체의 표면특성을 SEM으로 확인한 결과, 수산화나트륨을 처리한 PCL 인공지지체가 처리하지 않은 PCL 인공지지체에 비해 거칠기가 증가함을 보였으며, 접촉각 측정을 통해 친수성이 증가함을 확인하였다. In vitro 실험결과, 수산화나트륨을 처리한 PCL 인공지지체가 처리하지 않은 PCL 인공지지체에 비해 세포의 증식과 분화가 증가함을 보였고, 세포의 부착 모습은 균일하고 밀집된 형태로 부착됨을 확인하였다. 따라서 조형가공기술을 이용하여 수산화나트륨을 처리한 표면개질된 PCL 인공지지체를 제작하고 분석함으로써, 세포적합성을 통해 체내 인공지지체 개발 적용 가능성을 제시하였다.

공압시스템의 설계 파라미터 최적화 (Optimization of Design Parameters of a Pneumatic System)

  • This paper presents optimization of a pneumatic control system whose design parameters have been optimized so that the desired dynamic characteristics of cylinder position was obtained. The pneumatic system is used as transferring and stacking equipment for solid freeform fabrication system which has been widely used in design verification applications. The pneumatic system mainly consists of pneumatic control valves and cylinders. The system was modeled by using several principles for pneumatic components. The system was optimized to obtain dynamic performance with enough damping to reduce cylinder vibration. A fuzzy controller has been applied to fulfill the dynamic performance requirements of the pneumatic system. The simulation results show that the fuzzy controller is more effective than a PD controller.

Si(CH3)4로부터 SiC의 레이저 화학증착에 관한 연구 (Study of Laser Chemical Vapor Deposition of Silicon Carbide from Tetramethylsilane)

  • The purpose of the present study was to examine some basic aspects of laser chemical vapor deposition that will be ultimately utilized for solid freeform fabrication of three dimensional objects. Specifically, deposition of silicon carbide (SiC) using tetramethylsilane (TMS) as precursor was studied for a rod grown by $CO_2$laser-assisted chemical vapor deposition. First, temperature distribution for substrate was analyzed to select proper substrate where temperature was high enough for SiC to be deposited. Then, calculations of chemical equilibrium and heat and mass flow with chemical reactions were performed to predict deposition rates, deposit profiles, and deposit components. Finally, several rods were experimentally grown with varying chamber pressure and compared with the theoretical results.

임의형상가공시스템을 위한 레이저 5축 경사절단기의 개발 (Development of Five Axis Laser Cutting System for the Tangent Cutting Solid freeform fabrication System)

  • 제품의 소재를 미리 테입 형태로 만들어 단면의 경계면을 따라 레이저로 절단하여 적층하는 방식은 제품의 표면에 계단 모양의 무늬가 생기므로 정밀한 제품을 제작하는데 어려움이 있었다. 이를 극복하기 위하여 단면의 경계선을 절단할 때 수직으로 절단하는 것이 아니라 경사면을 따라 절단하여 전체적인 제품의 옆면이 부드럽게 연결되는 경사절단형 임의형상가공시스템을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 레이저 5축 경사절단기를 개발하였는데, x축과 y축은 상용화되어 있는 x-y table을 이용하였고 z축은 한 개의 z축 이송대를 이용하였다. 롤과 피치를 위하여는 서보모터 두 개를 이용하여 작업대가 회전할 수 있도록 하였다. 이와 같은 레이저 5축 경사절단기를 개발함으로써 시편의 어느 위치에서든 어느 각도로도 절단이 가능하게 할 수 있었다.

  • Fused deposition(FD) modeling by Stratasys Inc., is one of the material deposition subfamilies of solid freeform fabrication(SFF) technologies. In this process, build material in the form of a flexible filament, is heated to a semi-liquid state and extruded from a robotically controlled deposition head onto a fixtureless table in a temperature controlled environment. The position of nozzle is computer controlled relative to the base, which allows geometric complex models to be made to precise dimensions. FDM provide what the part was directly tested by the worker. It provide believable data. This study is experiment on surface roughness of part at FDM

  • Polymers for laser sintering were needed in order to fabricate the articles with the three-dimensional duplication equipment of SLS (selective laser sintering) process. The thermal properties, particle size, distribution, and shape of polymer powder had a close relation with the processibility of laser sintering. In this study, we prepared new polymer powders with uniform size and higher bulk density by wet process. Wet process consists of several finely-controlled steps such as dissolution, nucleation, propagation and crystallization. Several additives were added to improve the thermal, rheological, and flow properties.

  • 3D printing of NiTi alloys has been successfully achieved. A novel printing process has been developed and used, which consists in selective deposition of a solvent on a granule bed. The granules are composed of metal powders and thermoplastic binder, which are mixed and sieved by conventional methods. A sound green strength is obtained after solvent evaporation. Sintered parts exhibit good density, proper phase composition and shape memory behaviour.

  • 3D Welding and Milling is a solid freeform fabrication process which is based on the combination of welding as additive and conventional milling as subtractive technique. This hybrid approach enables direct building of metallic parts with high accuracy and surface finish. Although it needs further improvements it shows an application potential in rapid tooling of injection mold inserts as the investigation results show. To optimize the process for higher surface quality and accuracy effectively Taguchi method is applied to the experimental investigation. in this way relationships between process parameters and final product qualities such as tensile strength and surface hardness are found with minimal efforts.

  • A real object duplication system (RODS), including three dimensional (3D) scanner and solid freeform fabrication system (SFFS), is a device to make three-dimensional objects directly from the drawing or photo data. A Selective Multi-Laser Sintering (SMLS) process designed in this paper is by which computer images received using 3D scanner are built up from polymer powder on building room of large size using dual laser at industrial type SFF system. Using the process can rapidly produce real object duplication components of industrial type such as cylinder, engine block, chassis of automobile, etc. In this paper, the industrial type SFF system using SMLS process is manufactured and the system is satisfied with high precision and high speed processing technique. To research characteristics of each part for theindustrial type SFF system, a structure and thermal analysis and test of each part is carried out. Also, to achievement of high performance for industrial type SFF system, design and fabrication for the structure, heater, nitrogen supply, laser and control part are carried out.
