In this work, we consider the fabrication method and electrical characteristics of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), which use titanium (Ti) metal thin films to replace expensive fluorine tin oxide (FTO) electrodes. The thickness of the Ti thin film was changed by adjusting the deposition time of the Ti, and the surface resistance decreased as the thickness of the Ti thin film became thicker. The thickness of the Ti thin film was shown to be similar to the surface resistance of the FTO thin film at approximately 190nm and the DSSC with a thickness of approximately 250nm showed the highest energy conversion efficiency of 4.24%. Furthermore, the possibility of commercialization was confirmed by fabricating and evaluating the DSSC module.
BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) supplemented the minimum area problem required when installing existing solar modules. However, in order to apply it to buildings, research was needed to increase the aesthetics of solar modules and use them as a design. Accordingly, modules with color applied to the entire surface of the photovoltaic module were being developed, but there was a disadvantage of low power. Therefore, by dividing and bonding the cell strips, it was possible to improve the output power by applying a shingled technology in which other divided cells overlap in a busbar region where light couldn't be received. Shingled technology was advantageous for color modules because the front busbar part that degrades aesthetics was removed. In this research, four color shingled solar modules (Green, Yellow, Blue, Gray) were manufactured and power degradation was analyzed by measuring transmittance and reflectance. Gray color had 80.83% transmittance, which was 31.31% higher than Yellow, resulting in a power difference of 4.45 W.
Solar Photovoltaics (SPV) In India has become an important renewable source of energy particularly for rural and remote areas. The vastness of the country and the requirements of electricity in far-flung villages makes SPV very attractive, with inherent technological advantages providing additional boost. This has been recognized very early by Govt. Of India and Ministry of Non-Conventional Sources of Energy (MNES) has been entrusted with promoting SPV usage in the country. Rural electrification through SPV systems is one of the programmes which is expected to provide fillip to PV industry in the country. PV Industry in India is very well established with capability of solar cell fabrication and module fabrication as well as Balance of System design and fabrication. There several R&D groups in the academic institutions who are involved in improving solar cells efficiency, thin film solar cells and PV instrumentation. Thus, India provides a ready market for large scale utilization of solar energy through SPV technology.
This system can predict the maximum output about all illumination levels so that the PV system designer can design the system having the best efficiency. For the output prediction exact about the solar cell, that is the device the basis most in the PV system, the basis has to be in order to try this way. The solution based on Lambert W-function are presented to express the transcendental current-voltage characteristic containing parasitic power consuming parameters like series and shunt resistances. A simple and efficient method for the extraction of a single current-voltage (I-V) curve under the constant illumination level is proposed. With the help of the Lambert W function, the explicit analytic expression for I is obtained. And the explicit analytic expression for V is obtained. This analytic expression is directly used to fit the experimental data and extract the device parameters. The I-V curve of the solar cell was expressed through the modeling using Lambert W-function and the numerical formula where there is the difficulty could be logarithmically expressed This method expresses with the I-V curve through the modeling using Lambert W-function which adds other loss ingredients to the equation2 as to the research afterward. And the solar cell goes as small and this I-V curve can predict the power penalty in the system unit.
Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) allows light transmission and the application of various colors that make it especially suitable for building-integrated PV (BIPV) application. In order to apply DSC module into windows, it has to be panelized: DSC module should be protected with reinforced glass to the entire surface. Up to date, it seems to be common to make double glazing with DSC modules with air gaps between the glasses and the DSC modules. Few research has been conducted on the characteristics of various glazing types with DSC modules. This study aims to analyze the electrical performance of DSC modules according to panelizing method for glazing unit with DSC modules. The prototype of the DSC glazing that applied silicone filler between DSC modules and glasses was developed. The electrical performances of this type of DSC glazing with the filler and rather conventional double glazing with DSC modules were compared. Their performances were measured using a solar simulator that is suitable for DSC performance testing. The results indicated that the electrical performance of the filler type DSC glazing improved by 7% compared to that of the conventional DSC double glazing type.

PV model is presented based on the shockley diode equation. The simple model has a photo-current source, an single diode junction and a series resistance and includes temperature dependences. An accurate PV module electrical model is presented, matching with boost converter MPPT strategy and demonstrated in Matlab for a typical general purpose solar cell. Given solar insolation and temperature, the model returns current vector and MPP.

This paper present the performance evaluation of PV systems installed at Tibet area of China in order to identity the key factors that determines system operation at a severe climate conditions and promote the cooperation of PV technology between Korea and China. The installed systems consist of 100kW on-grid connected PV systems, BOS(balance of systems), data acquisition and transmission equipments. The Korea side supplied the solar cell, BOS like as inverter, control box and monitoring system. And the Chinese side assembled solar module, constructed site and built control house. It has been shown that the average radiation per monthly from Tibet is 1.5 times larger than that from Mokpo. Also, radiation time from Tibet is 2hour higher than that from Korea.

In this paper, solar-cell modules were fabricated by low-temperature bonding method of construction using CF. CF adhesive strength of cells at 180 degree using 3bus bar structure was measured average 2.4N. As the bonding temperature got higher, Voc and Iscwas increased. And at $185^{\circ}C$, Rseries was measured 0.013[${\Omega}$] which is the highest point. At $185^{\circ}C$, 2N and 6sec in bonding time, $P_{max}$ was measured 3.954[W], fillfactor was measured 67.36[%] and efficiency was measured13.178[%] the highest point.

In this paper, the effect of MoSe2 on the contact resistance (RC) of the transparent conducting oxide (TCO) and Mo junction in the scribed P2 region of the Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar module was analyzed. The CIGS/Mo junction becomes ohmic-contact by MoSe2, so the formation of the MoSe2 layer is essential. However, the CIGS solar module has a TCO/MoSe2/Mo junction in the P2 region due to structural differences from the cell. The contact resistance (RC) of the P2 region was calculated using the transmission line method, and MoSe2 was confirmed to increase RC of the TCO/Mo junction. B doped ZnO (BZO) was used as TCO, and when BZO/MoSe2 junction was formed, conduction band offset (CBO) of 0.6 eV was generated due to the difference in their electron affinities. It is expected that this CBO acts as a carrier transport barrier that disturbs the flow of current, resulting in increased RC. In order to reduce the RC caused by CBO, MoSe2 must be made thin in a CIGS solar module.
