Thin crystalline silicon (C-Si) solar cell is expected to be a low price energy source by decreasing the consumption of Si. However, thin c-Si solar cell entails the bowing and crack issues in high temperature manufacturing process. Thus, the conventional tabbing process, based on high temperature soldering (> $250^{\circ}C$), has difficulties for applying to thin c-Si solar cell modules. In this paper, a conductive paste (CP) based interconnection process has been proposed to fabricate thin c-Si solar cell modules with high production yield, instead of existing soldering materials. To optimize the process condition for CP based interconnection, we compared the performance and stability of modules fabricated under various lamination temperature (120, 150, and $175^{\circ}C$). The power from CP based module is similar to that with conventional tabbing process, as modules are fabricated. However, the output of CP based module laminated at $120^{\circ}C$ decreases significantly (14.1% for Damp heat and 6.1% for thermal cycle) in harsh condition, while the output drops only in 3% in the samples process at $150^{\circ}C$, $175^{\circ}C$. The peel test indicates that the unstable performance of sample laminated at $120^{\circ}C$ is attributed to weak adhesion strength (1.7 N) between cell and ribbon compared to other cases (2.7 N). As a result, optimized lamination temperature for CP based module process is $150^{\circ}C$, considering stability and energy consumption during the fabrication.

The share of agrophotovoltaics in the "renewable energy 3020", which is the Korean government policy for revitalizing new and renewable energy, is increasing gradually. In this study, the distribution of solar radiation received by crops growing on virtual farmland under a range of conditions, such as module height, module angle, shading ratio, and module type, was quantified and analyzed using an Ecotect program, which allows insolation analysis during the period from spring to fall. As the module angle increases, transmissive modules increase the amount of solar radiation delivered to the lower farmland. In addition, the difference between 3x12 Cell Type and 4x9 Cells Type, which are types of photovoltaic modules used in practice, was found to be small. The analysis results can be used as a design standard for the future establishment of agrophotovoltaic systems.

Photovoltaic (PV) solar systems with series-connected module integrated converters (MICs) are receiving increased attention because of their ability to create high output voltage while performing local maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control for individual solar panels, which is a solution for partial shading effects in PV systems at panel level. To eliminate the partial shading effects in PV system more effectively, sub-MICs are utilized at the cell level or grouped cell level within a PV solar panel. This study presents the results of a series-output-connection MPPT (SOC-MPPT) controller for sub-MIC architecture using a single sensor at the output and a single digital MPPT controller (sub-MIC SOC-MPPT controller and architecture). The sub-MIC SOC-MPPT controller and architecture are investigated based on boost type sub-MICs. Experimental results under steady-state and transient conditions are presented to verify the performance of the controller and the effectiveness of the architecture.
The solar energy is purity and infinity. Solar power converter were used to convert the electrical energy from the solar arrays to a stable and reliable power source. So many countries research this solar energy system The photovoltaic system is construct many solar cell array. In this paper, new implementation solar system was showed buck converter that V-I curve produced. This system can be used to study the short-term and long-term performances of solar cell and efficiency. This system is a far more cost effective and reliable replacement for field and outdoor flight testing. Study of buck converter, analysis and control series or parallels connection characteristics of solar cell way.
Currently, solar module is using the two methods such as a glass-filled method or a super-straight method. The common point of these methods is to use glass structure on the front of solar module. However, the reflectance of the solar module is high depending on the height of the incident sunlight due to the flat surface of the module front glass. Purposed to solve these problems, AG (anti-glare) structures were formed on the glass surface. Next is fabrication methods of AG structure. First, uneven structure made by micro blaster equipment was dipped in Hydro-fluidic acid (HF) acid. HF acid process was carried out to remove particles and to make high transmittance. The reflectance and transmittance of the anti-glare glass was compared to those of the bare glass. The reflectance of anti-glare glass decreased approximately 1% compared with bare glass. The transmittance of anti-glare glass was similar to bare glass. According to the sample angle, the difference of the reflectance between bare glass and the anti-glare glass was about 19%. Isc and efficiency value of anti-glare glass on bare solar cell appeared about 3.01 mA and 0.228% difference compared with bare glass. Anti-glare glass on textured solar cell appeared about 9.46 mA and 0.741% difference compared with bare glass. As a result, the role of anti-glare in the substrate is to reduces the loss of sunlight reflected from the surface. In this study, therefore, AG structure on the solar cell was used to improve the efficiency of solar cell.

In this paper, we analyzed the elements of measurement uncertainty on electrical performance test which are the most important things in photovoltaic module performance test. Repeating the performance test by 6 men, the measurement uncertainty could be calculated. In this experiment, Solar Simulator (A-Class pulse type) used for domestic certificate test of PV module is Pasan IIIb (Balval, Switzerland). The possible elements of the measurement uncertain that could effect electrical performance test of PV module are reference cell, spectrum correction, error from measurement repetition, test condition, stability and uniformity of artificial solar simulator. To find the measurement uncertainty, 6 men repeated the test by 10 times. And the results were that numerical average value was 124.44W and measurement uncertainty was $124.44W{\pm}0.75W$ with 95% confidence level for 125W PV module.

The electricity conversion-efficiency of solar cell for commercial application is about 6-15%. More than 85% of the incoming solar energy is either reflected or absorbed as heat energy. Consequently, the working temperature of the photovoltaic cells increases considerably after prolonged operations and the cell's efficiency drops significantly. PV/T refers to the integration of a PV module and a solar thermal collector in a single piece of equipment. By cooling the PV module with a fluid steam like air or water, the electricity yield can be improved. At the same time, the heat pick-up by the fluid can be to support space heating or service hot-water systems. In this study, a pulsating heat pipe solar heat collector was combined with single-crystal silicon photovoltaic cell in hybrid energy-generating unit that simultaneously produced low temperature heat and heat and electricity. This experiment was investigating thermal and electrical efficiency for evaluation of a PV/T system.
In this study, the effect of water level and temperature on the power generation was investigated in a water tank with an aquavoltaic PV module to perform feasibility research for the development of salt farm aquavoltaic system. The silicon solar cell attached to the bottom of each water tank is a 1-cell mini module, and the underwater effects of the crystal phase (19.0~19.9% of single- & 17.9~19.9% of poly-crystalline) of the PV module were investigated, and power generation characteristics for water level (0~10 cm) and temperature (10~40℃) were analyzed. The deterioration coefficients according to the water level and temperature of each single- and poly-crystalline module were investigated at very similar levels such as, -2.01 %/cm and -2.02 %/cm, -0.50 %/℃ and -0.48 %/℃, respectively. Therefore, in salt farm aquavoltaic system, water levels need to maintain as low as possible, and heat-induced degradation is similar to those shown in general land, and no factors have been found to be affected by the underwater environment depending on the determination.
Normally if sunlight is directed on a solar cell without any increasing in temperature, the amount of absorption energy per unit area of each cell is increasing. In a silicon solar cell. however, cell conversion efficiency decreases with the increase of temperature. Therefore, to maintain cell conversion efficiency under normal condition, it is necessary to keep the cell at operating temperature. We tried to design and make new hybrid panel with cooling system to prevent increasing of temperature on cell, collect and use thermal energy more effectively. We compared performance of this new hybrid panel with current thermal panel. We also evaluated conversion efficiency, thermal capacity and confirmed cooling effects from thermal absorption efficiency.

Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) is a promising alternative solar cell to the conventional silicon solar cell due to several advantages. Development of large scale module is necessary to commercialize the DSC in the near future. A scribing technology of the transparent conductive oxide (TCO) is one of the important technologies on the fabrication of DSC module. A quality of the scribed line on the TCO has a decisive effect on the efficiency of DSC module. Among several scribing technologies, the fiber laser is a suitable for scribing the TCO more precisely and accurately because of their own characteristics. In this study, we try to improve the quality of the TCO scribed line by using the fiber laser. Consequently, the operating parameter of fiber laser is optimized to get the TCO scribed line with good quality. And the fiber laser scribing technology of the TCO is applied to the fabrication of the DSC with optimal operating parameter, operating current 3900mA. As a result, the current density and fill factor are improved and the total efficiency is increased because the internal resistances of DSC such as TCO sheet resistance and the resistance concerned to the electron movement in the $TiO_2$ are reduced. This is analyzed by the electrochemistry impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and the equivalent circuit model of the DSC.
