화강 풍화토/지오그리드 인발시험 및 마찰특성 평가 (Evaluation of Weathered Granite Soil l Geogrid Friction Properties and Pull out Test)

  • 그리드(grid) 형태의 토목섬유와 흙 사이의 마찰특성은 표면마찰 뿐만아니라 그리드에 의한 수동저항을 동시에 측정할 수 있는 인발시험(pull-out test)에 의해 평가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 보강토 구조물에서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 지오그리드(geogrid)와 국내에 널리 분포되어 있는 화강 풍화토를 대상으로 실내 인발시험을 수행하였으며, 인발시험의 주요 영향 인자들인 인발속도, 토조 전면벽의 위치, 지오그리드 시료의 폭 및 지오그리드 수동 저항부재의 유.무 등이 흙/지오그리드 마찰특성에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다.

유기질 혼합토의 토공재로서의 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Utilization of Organic Mixed Soil as Earthwork Materials)

  • 본 연구는 유기질토를 토공재로서 활용할 목적으로 시료A(모래+유기질토)와 시료B(풍화토+유기질토)의 두 가지 시료를 유기질토 혼합비를 5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%로 혼합하여 각종 실내시험을 실시하였다. 시료A, B의 용출시험에 의한 COD값은 순수 유기질토에 비해 상당히 낮은 값을 보였으며, 초기 침출수의 COD 값은 침출수 수질기준을 약간 상회하였지만 용출시작 4시간후의 COD 값은 매우 적게 나타났다. 모래와 유기질토의 혼합토는 유기질토 혼합비 40%(유기물함유량 11.3%)내에서는 성토재로서의 활용이 가능한 것으로 나타났으며, 풍화토와 유기질토의 혼합토는 유기질토 혼합비 30%(유기물함유량 16.4%)이내에서 토공재로서 활용이 가능하다고 판단되어진다.

  • In this presentation, soil dynamics for vibrating machine foundation is briefly stated, and the result of a model pile test is presented. Analystical methods used in solving for the stiffness and damping factor for pile-soil system are also treated and the results of the test and the calculated values are compared.

복합유용미생물 및 수생식물을 활착시킨 흙블록을 이용한 자연정화 처리방법 연구 (Natural Purification Treatment using Soil Brick with Combined Effective Microorganisms and Emergent Plants)

  • In this study, using soil brick with combined effective microorganisms and emergent plants was identified which it can increase the effect of conservation and improvement of water. Lab-test was consist of four kind of reactors and each of reactors were A(rawwater), B(soil brick), C(emergent plant) and D(soil brick+emergent plant). Iris pseudoacorus, Phargmites australis, Typha angustifolia and Zizania latifolia were used for emergent plant. Evaluation of application on various environment were performed on agricultural waterway and pond. The pH measurement test of soil brick was performed due to evaluate whether a strong alkaline water flows out of the soil brick. Result of lab-test, removal efficiency of D was better than removal efficiency of A presenting 20.9%, 27.9% 21.5%, 33.8% and 58.4% for $COD_{Cr}$, $BOD_5$, TN, TP and TSS respectively. Removal efficiency of soil brick on agricultural waterway was revealed to be 49.5%, 45.0%, 43.7%, 37.3% and 28.6% for $COD_{Cr}$, $BOD_5$, TN, TP and TSS respectively. And removal efficiency of soil brick on the pond was revealed to be 12.7%, 10.5%, 9.32%, 10.4% and 36.3% for $COD_{Cr}$, $BOD_5$, TN, TP and TSS respectively. Result of pH measurement test of soil brick was neutral which was about 6 to 8.

준설토의 건조수축에 의한 강도증가 특성과 지지력에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Strength Increase and Bearing Capacity in Dredged and Reclaimed Soil due to Desiccation Shrinkage)

  • This research is results of experimental and numerical works on characteristic of strength increase and bearing capacity in dredged and reclaimed soil due to desiccation shrinkage. For a soil sampled from southern coastal area in Korea, basic soil property tests and standard consolidation test with falling head permeability tests were carried out to obtain consolidational characteristics of soil. Double cone penetration test, laboratory vane test and unconfined compression test were also performed to investigate the change of shear strength with degree of desiccation. Model tests were performed in 1G environment and 30G level artificially accelerated condition by using the centrifuge model test facilities to investigate the bearing capacity of desiccated ground. Test results were analyzed by using the theoretical and load-settlement characteristics method proposed by Meyehof & Hanna(1978). On the other hands, the numerical technique, using the finite strain consolidation theory considering the effect of desiccation was used to estimate the appropriate time of using heavy construction equipments in field with respect to strength increase due to desiccation.

  • Recently the centrifuge test has been used increasingly to clarify a problem of seepage in dam. However, one of the most difficult challenges in the testing is to conform permeability properties of model ground to the prototype. In order to resolve the problem, a few solutions, such as an increase of pore water viscosity and a regulation of water permeability, are suggested. Although the use of prototype materials is principles if a model test is carried out, the materials of similarity gradation is used in the centrifuge model test because of the nature of the model test for dam. Therefore, we choose the latter method for model ground materials. In this study, the permeability properties of soil-bentonite mixtures are studied through the permeation test using triaxial compaction test apparatus.

  • 토압식(EPB, earth pressure balance) 쉴드 TBM 공법에서 첨가제 주입을 통해 굴착한 흙을 개량하는 쏘일 컨디셔닝(soil conditioning) 기법의 적용은 TBM의 굴진성능을 향상시키는데 필수적이다. 따라서 TBM 장비의 굴진 성능을 모사하는 수치해석 모델에서도 쏘일 컨디셔닝을 적용하는 것은 중요하나, 이를 해석적으로 모사하는 기법에 대한 연구는 현재까지 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 컨디셔닝 된 흙의 특성을 파악하기 위해 실내 가압 베인시험 장치를 고안하였다. 고안된 장치를 통해 폼에 의해 컨디셔닝 된 흙에 대하여 전단속도를 달리하며 시험을 수행하였으며, 시험은 개별요소법(DEM, discrete element method)을 통해 모델링 되었다. 시험결과와 해석결과의 비교를 통해 개별요소법에서의 입자 접촉조건을 결정하였으며, 이는 개별요소법을 사용한 TBM 굴진해석 모델에서 쏘일 컨디셔닝을 재현할 때 가압 베인시험과 개별요소법 모델의 적용 가능성을 보여준다.

  • Six kinds of weathered granite soils whose degree of weathering and mineral compo- sitions are different, were tested in order to improve the soil-cement. by performing compression test, durability (freezing-thawing) test and mesurement of shrinkage are made. From result of the tests as mentioned above, the following conclusions are drawn. The unconfined compressive strength of seondary additives containing soil-cement mixtures and their resistance against freezeing-thawing are more increased and shrinkage is more decreased than soil-cement mixtures only in case opitimun quantity of additives are added to soil-cement mixtures, and according as types of soils.

Corrosion Performance of Cu Bonded Grounding-Electrode by Accelerated Corrosion Test

  • Natural degradation of grounding-electrode in soil environment should be monitored for several decades to predict the lifetime of the grounding electrode for efficient application and management. However, long-term studies for such electrodes have many practical limitations. The conventional accelerated corrosion test is unsuitable for such studies because simulated soil corrosion process cannot represent the actual soil environment. A preliminary experiment of accelerated corrosion test was conducted using existing test standards. The accelerated corrosion test that reflects the actual soil environment has been developed to evaluate corrosion performances of grounding-electrodes in a short period. Several test conditions with different chamber temperatures and salt spray were used to imitate actual field conditions based on ASTM B162, ASTM B117, and ISO 14993 standards. Accelerated degradation specimens of copper-bonded electrodes were made by the facile method and their corrosion performances were investigated. Their corrosion rates were calculated to $0.042{\mu}m/day$, $0.316{\mu}m/day$, and $0.11{\mu}m/day$, respectively. These results indicate that accelerated deterioration of grounding materials can be determined in a short period by using cyclic test condition with salt spray temperature of $50^{\circ}C$.

강우재현 모형실험과 SWCC Cell 실험에 의한 화강암질 풍화토의 함수특성곡선 (Soil Water Characteristic Curve of the Weathered Granite Soil through Simulated Rainfall System and SWCC Cell Test)

  • 강우재현장치를 제작하고, 강우 및 사면조건에 따라 강우재현 모형실험과 함수특성곡선실험(SWCC Cell Test)을 실시하여 불포화 특성에 관해 연구하였다. 그 결과를 이용하여 강우에 따른 침투거동 특성과 함수특성곡선 모델들의 불포화된 화강암질 풍화토에 대한 적용을 검토하였다. 강우재현 모형실험의 습윤과정(강우재현)과 건조과정(방치)에서 계측된 체적함수비와 모관흡인력을 비교한 결과 체적함수비는 $2{\sim}5%$, 모관흡인력은 $3{\sim}10\;kPa$ 정도 값의 차이를 보여 이력현상을 확인 할 수 있었다. 또한, 모관흡인력의 값이 체적함수비의 값에 비해 상대적으로 큰 차이를 보여 모관흡인력에 이력거동이 더 큼을 확인할 수 있었다. 강우재현 모형실험과 함수특성곡선실험에서 얻은 결과로부터 구한 함수특성곡선을 비교하면, 습윤과정과 건조과정에서 두 방법 모두 근접한 함수특성곡선을 얻을 수 있었으나, 두 방법 모두 습윤과정과 건조과정에서의 결과는 차이가 있었다. 이로써 불포화토의 특성을 고려한 보다 합리적인 설계나 안정검토에 함수특성곡선을 적용시킬 때에는 습윤과정에서는 습윤과정 함수특성곡선을 건조과정에서는 건조과정 함수특성곡선을 적용하는 것이 합당할 것으로 여겨진다.
