토양측정망 운영 결과 분석 연구 (Analysis on Monitoring Results of Korean Soil Monitoring Network)

  • Usability of soil quality monitoring network for ascertaining soil quality changes was evaluated by analysing soil quality monitoring results. Tolerance limits of soil quality monitoring results from 1997 to 2007 were calculated and compared with Korean soil quality standards. This study determined that soil quality was changed if the upper 95% tolerance limit value was greater than the soil quality standard. Fluoride most frequently exceeded the soil quality standard and nickel, zinc, arsenic, copper, lead and cadmium were followed. Analysis on land use showed that tolerance limits of industrial land use most frequently exceeded the soil quality standards and residential, road and various land uses then frequently exceeded. Tolerance limits of land uses expecting high contaminant loads frequently exceeded the soil quality standards. This fact imply that the soil quality monitoring network generates reasonable data to represent change in Korean soil quality. This study also suggested that representative sampling from well identified points should be done to improve data reliability and accurately ascertain soil quality changes.

선진국 토양오염 기준의 역할과 기준항목 설정방법 (Role and Contaminant Selection Methods of Soil Quality Standards in Developed Countries)

  • 세계 각국은 토양환경의 효율적인 관리를 위하여 각국의 상황에 적합한 토양오염기준을 운영하고 있다. 본 총설은 각국의 토양환경관리 정책에서 토양오염기준의 역할과 토양오염기준 항목을 설정하는 방법에 대해 체계적으로 분석하여 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 대부분의 토양기준은 토양오염여부를 일차적으로 판단하기 위한 Guideling 역할을 수행하고 있었으며, 기준치가 오염여부 판단과 관련 행정명령의 지표인 Standard로 활용하고 있는 나라는 스위스, 덴마크, 일본 등이었다. 네덜란드는 Guideline과 Standard를 혼용하고 있었다. 토양오염기준 물질선정은 현장에서 검출빈도수가 높은 토양오염물질을 중심으로 이루어졌으며 독성, 노출, 분석의 용이성, 독성자료의 가용성 등 다양한 인자를 복합적으로 고려하여 선정되었다. 각 나라는 자국의 토양환경정책 및 기준 설정에 있어 자국의 상황을 고려한 특징을 가지고 있었다.

  • 국내 토양오염의 60~70% 이상이 석유제품에 의한 오염이며, 석유제품에 의해 토양오염이 발생될 경우, 토양환경보전법 상 B T E X와 total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH)를 분석하도록 명시하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 유통 중인 석유제품에 대한 구간별 TPH 패턴을 분석하였다. 또한 $C_8{\sim}C_{40}$ 구간만을 분석하는 현행 토양오염공정시험기준의 문제점을 보완하여 석유제품 내 TPH를 정량분석 하였다. 분석결과, 토양오염공정시험기준 분석조건으로 분석한 결과값과 보완된 분석방법을 이용했을 시, 휘발유와 용제 1호 같은 저비점 유류의 경우, 최대 85%의 차이가 발생하는 것을 확인하였다.

토양오염지표에 의한 천안시 토양환경 평가 (Assessment of the Soil Quality of Chonan City using Soil Pollution Index)

  • 천안시의 토양 환경을 종합적으로 평가하기 위하여 각 지역별(농경지 3개소, 공단지역 3개소, 도심지 2개소, 하천주변 3개소, 매립지 주변 3개소)로 13개 항목에 관한 오염도 조사를 실시하였다. 각 측정 항목마다 토양오염 우려기준에 못 미치는 오염도를 보였다. 토양의 산성화는 농경지에서 심한 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 고속도로 주변의 농경지는 자동차 배기가스에 의한 산성 강하물의 영향으로 의심되는 산성화가 진행되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 밭 지역의 산성화가 심화되어서 토양 측정망의 채취지점 추가가 요구되었다. 중금속 6종과 기타 유기득성물질은 모두 토양오염 우려기준에 못 미치는 값을 나타냈다. 유류성분인 BTEX성분 역시 우려기준에 못 미치는 값을 보였으며, TPH는 BTEX보다 광범위한 오염도를 보였다. 오염물질에 의한 토양의 상태를 종합적으로 판단할 수 있도록 고안된 토양오염지표(SPI, Soil Pollution Index)를 이용하여 천안시의 토양오염도를 평가하였다. 토양오염점수(SPC, Soil Pollution Score)에 의해 산출된 토양오염 등급은 모두 1 등급으로 판명되어 천안시의 토양은 비교적 건전한 것으로 나타났다.

대규모 지하통합주차장을 갖는 공동주택 인공식재지반 토양품질 개선방안 (Improvement of Soil Quality for Artificial Planting's Ground with Large Integrated Underground Parking Lot in Apartment Complex)

  • 공동주택 아파트의 조경공간이 변화하고 있다. 지하주차장 조성 면적이 증가하면서 자연지반 면적이 감소되었다. 그 결과 단지 대부분의 조경공간이 인공지반으로 전환되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 공동주택 식재공간의 현재 토양품질 실태를 분석하여 단지 내 조경공간의 토양품질 관리를 위한 시사점 제시를 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 토양반입형태가 상이한 3개 사업지구 대상으로 총 17개의 물리성 및 화학성 항목을 조사하여 현 토양품질수준을 진단하였다. 그리고 통계분석(T-test 검증)을 수행하여 지반특성별과 공정주체별 토양 품질의 유의성을 검토하였다. 그 결과, 대규모 지하통합주차장을 갖는 공동주택 단지의 토양수준은 인공토양 식재기준과 비교하여 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 특히, 가시적 판단이 용이한 물리성은 양호하나 화학성 품질개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 공동주택 지반특성별 토양 품질과 담당공종별 토양 품질의 차이는 없는 것으로 분석되었다(유의수준 5%). 일반적으로 인공지반보다 자연지반의 식재환경이 양호하다는 인식이지만 실제 분석결과 토양품질에 있어서는 자연지반의 토양이 인공지반 토양 품질수준과 동일한 것으로 나타나, 자연지반 토양에 대한 관리기준 도입의 필요성을 제시하였다. 그리고 공종별 담당부서가 상이함에도 불구하고 동일한 수준의 토양이 반입되고 있는 점은 바람직하나 그 토양수준이 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타나 품질제고를 위한 관리강화가 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

토양측정망 운영목적에 따른 토양측정망 지점 선정 방안 연구 (Development of Monitoring Site Selection Criteria of the Korean Soil Quality Monitoring Network to Meet its Purposes)

  • This study developed the classification of National Soil Quality Monitoring Network (NSQM) and its site selection criteria to meet the recently established purposes of the NSQM. The NSQM were suggested by this study to classify into the six-purposes site groups from the current classification of land uses. The six purposes site groups were 1) intensive observation sites, 2) contaminant loading sites, 3) human activity sites, 4) background sites, 5) river soil sites, and 6) sites near the groundwater quality monitoring wells. Furthermore, this study developed the site selection criteria of NSQM utilizing the accumulated NSQM data, road traffic data, chemical emission data, census, soil information, and the literature related to soil quality variation due to contaminant loads. For selecting suitable sites for NSQM, this study used road traffic, chemical emission, the distance from the contaminant sources, and population information as specific criteria. The suggested site classification and criteria were appled for the current 100 NSQM sites for evaluation. Forty sites were met to the criteria suggested by this study, but sixty sites were not met to the criteria. However, some of the sixty sites also included the obscure sites that their addresses were not apparent to find them.

A Study on SPI(soil pollution index) in City Land

  • To estimate the soil quality of Miryang area, soil analysis were conducted according to the city and out of city of soil expenses at according to analysis components and heavy metal pollution of irradiation sampling sites. The through soil components the principal element about the 71% $SiO_2\;and\;Al_2O_3$, the pH of field area near the city center was lower than that of the other field area, which indicated that this acidification was probably attributed to the acid rain caused by the traffic exhaust gas such as $SO_x\;and\;NO_x$. Acidification was more severe in the field area than in the farming land. The concentration of five heavy metals such as Cu, Cd, Pb, As and Cr were found to be lower than the standard of soil pollution. An assessment using the SPI(Soil Pollution Index), which was developed to estimate an overall soil quality, was performed. Each SPS(Soil Pollution Score) were evaluated with the results of the data from this study. The soil quality of most area of Miryang land was determined to Class 1, which indicated that the soil was healthy.

Threshold Subsoil Bulk Density for Optimal Soil Physical Quality in Upland: Inferred Through Parameter Interactions and Crop Growth Inhibition

  • Optimal range of soil physical quality to enhance crop productivity or to improve environmental health is still in dispute for the upland soil. We hypothesized that the optimal range might be established by comparing soil physical parameters and their interactions inhibiting crop growth. The parameter identifying optimal range covered favorable conditions of aeration, permeability and root extension. To establish soil physical standard two experiments were conducted as follows; 1) investigating interactions of bulk density and aeration porosity in the laboratory test and 2) determining effects of soil compaction and deep & conventional tillage on physical properties and crop growth in the field test. The crops were Perilla frutescens, Zea mays L., Solanum tuberosum L. and Secale cereael. The saturated hydraulic conductivity, bulk density from the root depth, root growth and stem length were obtained. Higher bulk density showed lower aeration porosity and hydraulic conductivity, and finer texture had lower threshold bulk density at 10% aeration bulk density. Reduced crop growth by subsoil compaction was higher in silt clay loam compared to other textures. Loam soil had better physical improvement in deep rotary tillage plot. Combined with results of the present studies, the soil physical quality was possibly assessed by bulk density index. Threshold subsoil bulk density as the upper value were $1.55Mg\;m^{-3}$ in sandy loam, $1.50Mg\;m^{-3}$ in loam and $1.45Mg\;m^{-3}$ in silty clay loam for optimal soil physical quality in upland.

포도 '거봉' 품질에 미치는 토양이화학성의 상대적 기여도 (Contribution Rate on Soil Pysico-Chemical Properties Related to Fruit Quality of 'Kyoho' Grapevines)

  • Detail management standard on soil conditions in 'Kyoho' grapes were not yet made. Therefore, this study was carried out to investigate the optimum soil environmental conditions on production of high fruit quality in 'Kyoho' grapes. We established using correlation between fruit quality and soil condition. These results were used to develop soil management guideline with promoting efficiency and minuteness in grape vineyard. Soil conditions were analyzed at total 80 vineyards in major grape producing areas such as Ansung, and Cheonan (40 orchards an area). The soil environmental factors affected fruit weight were soil pH of 36.6%, cultivation layer depth of 23.3%, and cation of 17.8%. The soil condition factors affected sugar content were soil hardness of 24.4%, cation of 24.1% and organic matter content of 22.1%. Cultivation layer depth, soil texture, and phosphate content were low as relative contribution. Coloring was involved with organic matter content, CEC (cation exchange capacity), and saturated hydraulic conductivity. while soil pH, cultivation layer depth, and phosphate content showed low contribution. Finally, relative contribution on fruit quality related with sugar content, fruit weight, and coloring were soil hardness of 28.0%, organic matter content of 25.0%, soil pH of 12.9%.

  • This study presents the hydrogeochmical investigation to know the effect of geology and sources for water quality in small potable water supply system at rural area. The results of water quality in Geumsan area showed the 3.2% of water samples exceeded the limit of drinking water standard by bacteria. The hydrochemical investigation results indicated the high EC, Ca and HCO$_3$ in surface water and metasedimentary rocks and this is caused by the dissolution of calc-slicate minerals of metasedimentary rocks.
