  • This paper proposes an automatic generation technology of test case based on API in source code for software's quality improvement. The proposed technology is comprised of four processes which are analyzing source code by using the Doxygen open source tool, defining API specification by using analyzed results, creating test design, generating a test case by adapting Pairwise test technology. Analyzing source code by using the Doxygen open source tool is the phase in which API information in source code such as the API name, input parameter and return parameter are extracted. Defined API specification by using analyzed results is the phase where API informations, which is needed to generate test case, are defined as a form of database by SQLite database on the basis of extracted API information. Creating test design is the phase in which the scenario is designed in order to be composed as database by defining threshold of input and return parameters and setting limitations based on the defined API. Generating a test case by adapting Pairwise test technique is the phase where real test cases are created and changed into database by adapting Pairwise technique on the base of test design information. To evaluate the efficiency of proposed technology, the research was conducted by begin compared to specification based test case creation. The result shows wider test coverage which means the more cases were created in the similar duration of time. The reduction of manpower and time for developing products is expected by changing the process of quality improving in software developing from man-powered handwork system into automatic test case generation based on API of source code.

  • Background: To systematically summarize the association between the X-ray repair cross complementing 3 (XRCC3) gene polymorphism and oral cancer susceptibility by meta-analysis. Materials and Methods: Databases including PubMed, EMbase, CNKI, VIP and WanFang Data were searched to identify case-control studies concerning the association between an XRCC3 gene polymorphism and the risk of oral cancer from the inception to June 2014. Two reviewers independently screened the literature according to the criteria, extracted the data and assessed the quality. Then meta-analysis was performed using Stata 11.0 software. Results: Seven published case-control studies including 775 patients with oral cancer and 1922 controls were selected. Associations between the rs861539 polymorphism and overall oral cancer risk were not statistically significant in all kinds of comparison models (CT vs CC: OR=0.94, 95%CI=0.74-1.18; TT vs CC: OR=0.94, 95%CI=0.64-1.38; dominant model: OR=0.95, 95%CI=0.76-1.18; recessive model: OR=0.94, 95%CI=0.69-1.29; allele T vs C: OR=0.97, 95%CI=0.84-1.11). In the stratified analysis by ethnicity, no significant associations were found among Asians and Caucasians. On stratification by tumor type, no significant associations were found for cancer and oral premalignant lesions. Conclusions: The XRCC3 gene polymorphism was not found to be associated with the risk of oral cancer. Considering the limited quality of the included case-control studies, more high quality studies with large sample size are needed to verify the above conclusion.

  • The present descriptive study investigated the influence of violence experienced by nursing staff in long-term care hospitals and their emotional intelligence on the quality of nursing service. The study participants included 167 nursing staff from 9 different long-term care hospitals in G and C Provinces. Data collected from questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 software. While slight differences were found among the subtypes of violence experience, it was found that verbal violence was the most common form in violence, experienced by the nursing staff, followed by physical threat and physical violence. A hierarchical regression analysis performed to investigate the degree of influence of violence experience and emotional intelligence on the quality of nursing service found that violence experience did not significantly affect the quality of nursing service when the general characteristics were controlled whereas emotional intelligence had a significant influence on the quality of nursing service. The results of this study show that, although it is commonly believed that violence experience is a major factor compromising the quality of nursing service, emotional intelligence, which reflects one's ability to utilize and control one's emotions, may actually have a more significant impact on the quality of nursing service. Emotional intelligence can be improved through education and training; therefore, it is necessary to explore ways to improve emotional intelligence of nursing staff such as development of various programs.

  • This paper is meaningful as the first case where a 4 - sided hull-fixed phased array radar was installed on a mast separated from Korea and the alignment was verified. The mechanical alignment method was studied for accurately mounting two separate masts for naval ships and the 3D scanner for alignment. Hull-fixed phased array radar uses very high frequency, so the short wavelength can cause a phase difference of the device due to the small positional error. Since the array antenna is fixed with the hull, it has higher accuracy control than the rotary radar for 4 array surfaces. The study describes a method of checking the flatness of two radar masts manufactured at a factory, a method of aligning masts in a shipyard, and a method of aligning four array pad mounting surfaces. As a tool for this, a 3D laser scanner and a software-based method for comparing survey results with 3D CAD are used. This paper is meaningful as the first example of installing a four-sided hull-fixed phased array radar on a separate mast from a Korean naval ship and deriving a mechanical alignment method.

  • Expressed sequence tags (EFTs) are the partial segments of cDNA produced from 5 or 3 single-pass sequencing of cDNA clones, error-prone and generated in highly redundant sets. Advancement and expansion of Genomics made biologists to generate huge amount of ESTs from variety of organisms-human, microorganisms as well as plants, and the cumulated number of ESTs is over 5.3 million, As the EST data being accumulate more rapidly, it becomes bigger that the needs of the EST analysis tools for extraction of biological meaning from EST data. Among the several needs of EST analyses, the extraction of protein sequence or functional motifs from ESTs are important for the identification of their function in vivo. To accomplish that purpose the precise and accurate identification of the region where the coding sequences (CDSs) is a crucial problem to solve primarily, and it will be helpful to extract and detect of genuine CD5s and protein motifs from EST collections. Although several public tools are available for EST analysis, there is not any one to accomplish the object. Furthermore, they are not targeted to the plant ESTs but human or microorganism. Thus, to correspond the urgent needs of collaborators deals with plant ESTs and to establish the analysis system to be used as general-purpose public software we constructed the pipelined-EST analysis system by integration of public software components. The software we used are as follows - Phred/Cross-match for the quality control and vector screening, NCBI Blast for the similarity searching, ICATools for the EST clustering, Phrap for EST contig assembly, and BLOCKS/Prosite for protein motif searching. The sample data set used for the construction and verification of this system was 1,386 ESTs from human intrathymic T-cells that verified using UniGene and Nr database of NCBI. The approach for the extraction of CDSs from sample data set was carried out by comparison between sample data and protein sequences/motif database, determining matched protein sequences/motifs that agree with our defined parameters, and extracting the regions that shows similarities. In recent future, in addition to these components, it is supposed to be also integrated into our system and served that the software for the peptide mass spectrometry fingerprint analysis, one of the proteomics fields. This pipelined-EST analysis system will extend our knowledge on the plant ESTs and proteins by identification of unknown-genes.

  • We believe that existing wire solutions such as HomePNA2.0 using phone lines and HomePlug using power line and wireless solution such as HomeRF are the most promising solutions, because of its cost-effectiveness. However, MAC protocols of these solutions provide only Class of Service(CoS) using priority mechanism like HomePNA and HomePlug or consider only voice among real-time traffics like HomeRF. For these reasons, we perceive the needs of the new MAC protocol which is no new wire solution and provides guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) for not only voice but also video and audio. In light of this, we present the design and software implementation of a new MAC protocol for Home Networks. Our evaluation results of software implementation verify that proposed MAC protocol can provide low delay, low loss, and low jitter to real-time traffic by reserving bandwidth.

  • In order to help general users to analyze the KOMPSAT-2 data, an application of sensor modeling to commercial software was explained in this document. The sensor modeling is a basic step to extract the quantity and quality information from KOMPSAT-2 data. First, we introduced the contents and type of ancillary data offered with KOMPSAT-2 PAN image data, and explained how to use it with commercial software. And then, we applied the polynomial-base and refine RFM sensor modeling with ground control points. In the polynomial-base sensor modeling, the accuracy which is average RMSE of check points is highest when the satellite position was calculated by type of 1st order function and the satellite attitude was calculated by type of 1st order function for (Y axis), (Z axis) or constant for (X axis), (Y axis), (Z axis) in perspective center position and satellite attitude parameters. As a result of refine RFM sensor modeling, the accuracy is less than 1 pixel when we applied affine model..

  • The conventional object tracking techniques using PTZ camera detects object movements by analyzing acquired image. However, this technique requires expensive hardware devices to perform a complex image processing. And it is occasionally hard to detect object movements, if an acquired image is low quality or image acquisition is impossible. In this paper, we proposes a smart security CCTV system applying to wireless sensor network technique based on IEEE 802.15.4 standard to overcome the problems of conventional object tracking technique, which enables to track suspicious objects by detecting object movements and GPS data in sensor node. This system enables an efficient control of PTZ camera to observe a wide area, decreasing image processing complexity. Also, wireless sensor network is implemented using mesh networks to increase the efficiency of installing sensor node.

  • In order to get high quality and high resolution image data from the space-borne camera system, the image chain from the sensor to the user in the ground-station need to be designed and controlled with extreme care. The behavior of the camera system needs to be controlled by ground commands to support on-orbit calibration and to adjust imaging parameters and to perform early stage on-orbit image correction, like gain and offset control, non-uniformity correction, etc. The operation status including the temperature of the sensor needs to be transferred to the ground-station. The preparation time of the camera system for imaging with specific parameters should be minimized. The camera controller needs to synchronize the operation of cameras for every channel and for every spectral band. Detail timing information of the image data needs to be provided for image data correction at ground-station. In this paper, the design of the camera controller for the AEISS on KOMPSAT-3 will be introduced. It will be described how the image chain is controlled and which imaging parameters are to be adjusted The camera controller will have software for the flexible operation of the camera by the ground-station operators and it can be reconfigured by ground commands. A simple concept of the camera operations and the design of the camera controller, not only with hardware but also with controller software are to be introduced in this paper.
