  • The issue of method of software testing process implementation has recently been in the spotlight in korea and some vendor make every effort to improve the software testing process through the evaluation of TMMi. The level of software process is at initial level, nevertheless, so the high quality of software is not guaranteed. This paper apply to the TMMi Level2 Assessment criteria of Automobile control software testing process. The test policy and strategy, test planning, test monitoring and control, test design and execution, test environment goal. The result need to emerge development process connection on the test policy and strategy process, test planning process etc. Also, the study analyzed the infra structure to reach the repeated level via key process area. As the result the process implementation in organization suggests the policy development and the implementation activity. Finally, the practical can refer to this paper in order to implementation the software testing process.

  • Putnam develops SLIM (Software LIfecycle Management) model based upon the assumption that the manpower utilization during software project development is followed by a Rayleigh distribution. To obtain the manpower distribution, we have to be estimate the total development effort and difficulty ratio parameter. We need a way to accurately estimate these parameters early in the requirements and specification phase before investment decisions have to be made. Statistical tests show that system attributes are highly correlation (redundant) so that Putnam discards one and get a parameter estimator from the other attributes. But, different statistical method has different system attributes and presents different performance. To select the principle system attributes, this paper uses the principle component analysis (PCA) instead of Putnam's method. The PCA's results improve a 9.85 percent performance more than the Putnam's result. Also, this model seems to be simple and easily realize.

  • This paper describes the method to develop the ATO software system. The software design is based on VxWorks, a Real Time Operating System. ATO calculates tractive effort/braking effort to keep the train at a certain speed reference at each moment. The speed reference is calculated by the ATO from a number of external factors. The ATO with this software is installed standardized EMU. and tested In Seoul Line 7.

  • The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the Indian Software Industry and t government's industrial policy by analysing the characteristics of the software industry, authority, development process, social infrastructure, and public sector. The Information age is creating profound changes in the way we live and work. It is transforming all aspects of society, stimulating new opportunities. Over the past decade, India has deliberately prepared itself to meet the new challenges of the information age. India became an important player in shaping world software industry. Through the industrial policy, Indian government is focusing on 1) the development of software industry, 2) dramatic increase in IT scientists engineers, and the promotion of education institutes, 3) the establishment of the software technology Parks (STP), 4) the inducement of foreign direct investment, 5) extensive standardization, 6) the coordination of the law and system. India has liberalized finance and telecommunications system in an effort to bring in more business, and has revamped education curriculums to encourage more creativity among students. Government has played crucial role in bringing India one of advanced software nation by presenting the grand vision and sophisticated plan, liberalizing telecommunication market, and enhancing the efficiency of bureaucratic system.

Applying Fishing-gear Simulation Software to Better Estimate Fished Space as Fishing Effort

  • Modeling fishing-gear systems is essential to better understand the factors affecting their movement and for devising strategies to control movement. In this study, we present a generalized mathematical modeling methodology to analyze fishing gear and its various components. Fishing gear can be divided into a finite number of elements that are connected with flexible lines. We use an algorithm to develop a numerical method that calculates precisely the shape and movement of the gear. Fishinggear mathematical models have been used to develop software tools that can design and simulate dynamic movement of novel fishing-gear systems. The tool allowed us to predict the shape and motion of the gear based on changes in operation and gear design parameters. Furthermore, the tool accurately calculated the swept volume of towed gear and the surrounding volume of purse-seine gear. We analyzed the fished volume for trawl and purse-seine gear and proposed a new definition of fishing effort, incorporating the concept of fished space. This method may be useful for quantitative fishery research, which requires a good understanding of the selectivity and efficiency of fishing gear used in surveys.

  • Area of software measurement is active more than thirty years. There is a huge collection of researches but still no concrete software development effort, duration and cost estimation model. The data sets used to conduct previous studies in the duration estimation model are often small and not too recent, these types of models should not be apply in recent projects that have complex architecture and various development environment. Therefore, Oligny et al. presents empirical models that predict software project duration in accordance with project platform based on project effort using the log data transformation. These models are based on the analysis of 396 project data provided by release 4 of the ISBSG Benchmark. Applying Oligny et al.'s models to 534 project data provided release 6 of the ISBSG Benchmark, the project duration is affected by development type more than development platform. Therefore, This paper presents the model of duration estimation according to development type. This paper proves the duration is more affected by development type than development platform. And, The model according to development type is more adequate for duration estimation.

  • Cost overrun or schedule delay of the software development project happens frequently despite that software developers continue to make every effort for the effective management of the projects. Previous researches have ascertained that these problems are ascribed to the uncertainty of projects and the improper management of the projects. The purposes of this research are to investigate the impacts of user participation and task interdependence on the performance of the projects and also to find out the appropriate project management method to improve the project performance. Even though the model fitness of the path model is proved to be very high, the verification of the hypotheses showed a variety of results including the four verifications and the one refutation of the hypotheses as well as the suggestion of one alternative hypothesis. The contribution of this research is that the integration model is proposed and verified, comprising the relationship among the user participation, the task interdependence, and the performance of software development projects. A project manager can utilize the implication of this research for an effective management of software development project.

  • We propose a software-reliability growth model incoporating the amount of uniform and Weibull testing efforts during the software testing phase in this paper. The time-dependent behavior of testing effort is described by uniform and Weibull curves. Assuming that the error detection rate to the amount of testing effort spent during the testing phase is proportional to the current error content, the model is formulated by a nonhomogeneous Poisson process. Using this model the method the data analysis for software reliability measurement is developed. The optimum release time is determined by considering how the initial reliability R($\chi$ 0) would be. The conditions are ($R\chi$ 0)>$R_{o}$ , $P_{o}$ >R($\chi$ 0)> $R_{o}$ $^{d}$ and R($\chi$ 0)<$R_{o}$ $^{d}$ for uniform testing efforts. deal case is $P_{o}$ >($R\chi$ 0)> $R_{o}$ $^{d}$ Likewise, it is ($R\chi$ 0)$\geq$$R_{o}$ , $R_{o}$ >($R\chi$ 0)>R(eqation omitted) and ($R\chi$ 0)<R(eqation omitted)for Weibull testing efforts.   • A estimating capability of software effort, duration and cost is based on accurate size estimate of the software to be developed. A simplified function point (FP) approach to software size estimation is described, which first skip the computation step for value adjustment factor, thus directly obtaining final adjusted FP from unadjusted FP. The research seeks suitable models based on statistical regression models in the context of case study based on 783 software projects. The approach also are built for subsets of projects using new development, enhancement and re-development types.

  • The accurate estimation of software development cost is important to a successful development in software engineering. Until recent days, the model using regression analysis based on statistical algorithm and machine learning method have been used. However, this paper estimates the software cost using support vector regression, a sort of machine learning technique. Also, it finds the best set of optimized parameters applying genetic algorithm. The proposed GA-SVR model outperform some recent results reported in the literature.
