HAZ 연화부를 가진 TMCP형 고장력강판의 압축최종강도에 관한 연구 - 제 2 보 (Ultimate Compressive Strength Analysis of TMCP High Tensile Steel Plates with HAZ Softening(2nd Report))

  • The use of high tensile steel plates is increasing in the fabrication of ship and offshore structures. The softening region which has lower yield stress than base metal is located to prevent cracking in the conventional high tensile steel. Also, thermo mechanical control process(TMCP) steel with low carbon equivalent has the softening region which occurs in the heat affected zone when high heat input weld is carried out. The softening region in the high tensile steel gives rise to serious effect on structural strength such as tensile strength, fatigue strength and ultimate strength. In order to make a reliable structural design using high tensile steel plates, the influence of the softening on plate strength should be evaluated in advance. In the previous paper, the authors discussed the ultimate compressive strength of 50HT steel square plates with softening region. In this paper, the ultimate compressive strength with varying the yield stress of softening region and the aspect ratio of the plate is investigated by using the elasto-plastic large deformation finite element method.

Effect of loading rate on softening behavior of low-rise structural walls

  • Cracked reinforced concrete in compression has been observed to exhibit lower strength and stiffness than uniaxially compressed concrete. The so-called compression softening effect responsible is thought to be related to the degree of transverse cracking and straining present. It significantly affects the strength, ductility and load-deformation response of a concrete element. A number of experimental investigations have been undertaken to determine the degree of softening that occurs, and the factors that affect it. At the same time, a number of diverse analytical models have been proposed by various this behavior. In this paper, the softened truss model thoery for low-rise structural shearwalls is employed using the principle of the stress and strain transformations. Using this theory the softening parameters for the concrete struts proposed by Hsu and Belarbi as well as by Vecchio and Collins are examined by 51 test shearwalls available in literature. It is found that the experimental shear strengths and ductilities of the walls under static loads are, in average, very close to the theoretical values; however, the experiment shear strengths and ductilities of the walls under dynamic loads with a low (0.2 Hz) frequency are generally less than the theoretical values.

종피의 연화처리, 세척 및 건조가 박 종자의 발아에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Seed Coat Softening, Washing and Drying on Seed Germination of Gourd)

  • 본 연구는 파종전 종자처리에 의해 박 종자의 발아율을 최대한 향상시킬 수 있는 방법을 강구하고자 종피연화, 세척, 저온 및 건조 중 적색광 처리가 발아에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 종피연화는 염기성인 KOH 또는 NaOH로 처리하는 것보다 산성인 acetone과 acetonitrile 10% 용액에 1시간 처리하였을 때 발아율이 증가되고 발아가 촉진되는 것으로 나타났다. 2) Acetone으로 종피연화 시킨 종자는 이후에 행하여지는 저온처리의 영향을 적게 받는 반면, KOH로 종피연화 시킨 종자는 저온처리가 행해지지 않을 경우 발아가 현저히 억제되었다. 3) 종피연화 후 흐르는 수돗물로 1시간 세척시킨 종자의 발아율은 세척하지 않은 것보다 높았다. 4) 종피연화, 세척 및 저온처리를 경과가 이루어진 종자는 건조과정에서 암처리보다는 적색광을 처리하였을 경우 발아율이 높았다.

데침과 열수의 침적과 Trehalose 처리가 오이 물김치의 저장중 품질에 미치는 영향 (The Properties of Blanching and Brining in Hot Solution and Trehalose Treatment on the Quality of Cucumber Kimchi during Fermentation)

  • In research. which Korean pickled cucumber was treated wish various methods, including blanching. brining in hot solution, and treating with trehalose. I examined the changes of properties of material. The Korean pickled cucumber were fermented 4∼5$^{\circ}C$ for 42 days in 1% salt solution. The physiochemical properties were pH, total acidity, total cell count, lactic acid bacteria and texture properties were also evaluated. The result showed that the effect of blanching and soaking cucumber in 100$^{\circ}C$ hot salt solution significantly reduced the softening rate of texture while a rather rapid fermentation was found for those preserved with salt. The effect of trehalose treatment inhenced fermentation but it was significantly reduced softening rate of texture. The texture evaluation of Korean pickled cucumber was found that heat treatment with blanching after soaked in hot solution and trehalose treatment had a positive effect for reduction of softening of cucumber tissue.

데침과 열수 침적의 병용 열처리와 trehalose 첨가가 오이 김치의 저장중의 효소 활성의 변화와 관능 검사에 미치는 효과

  • The enzyme activity and organoleptic properties of Korean pickled cucumber were studies for their changes during fermentation. The Korean pickled cucumber were prepared by blanching and high temperature soaking in salt solution and trehalose treatment The results shelved that the effect of combined heat and trehalose treatment significantly reduced the fermentation rate and softening rate of texture while a rather rapid fermentation was for those pleserved with salt. The effect of trehalose treatment enhenced fermentation and it was significantly reduced softening rate of texture by 2% treatment. The sensory evaluation of Korean pickled cucumber was found that combined heat treatment with blanching and hot solution had a positive effect for reduction of softening of cucumber tissue, however, odor and taste were not significantly affected. This study suggested that combined heat and trehalose treatment might have potential for affording protection against softness of cucumber tissue during the fermentation time.

  • The dynamic softening behavior of type 430 ferritic stainless steel could be characterized by the hot torsion test in the temperature range of 900-110$0^{\circ}C$ and the strain rate range of 0.05-5/sec. It is found that the continuous dynamic recrystallization (CDRX) was a major dynamic softening mechanism. The effects of process variables strain ($\varepsilon$) stain rate($\varepsilon$)and temperature (T) on CDRX could be individually established from the analysis of flow stress curves and microstructure. The effect of CDRX individually established from the analysis of flow stress curves and microstructure. The effect of CDRX increased with increasing strain rate and decreasing temperature in continuous deformation. The multipass deformation processes were performed with 10 pass deformations. The CDRX effect occurred in multipass deformatioon. The grain refinement could be achieved from multipass deformation The grain refinement increased with increasing strain rate and decreasing temperature. Also the CDRX in multipass deformation was affected by interpass time and pass strain. The total strain was to be found key parameter to occur CDRX.

$SiC_P$/A1-Si 복합재료의 정적연화가 열간가공성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Static Softening on Hot Workability of $SiC_P$/A1-Si COmposites)

  • Isothermal interrupted deformation behavior of 10vol.%SICp/AI-Si composites was investigated by hot torsion test at the temperature ranges from 27$0^{\circ}C$ to 43$0^{\circ}C$ and at strain rate range of 1.26X10-2~2.16X10-1/sec. With increasing pass strain, flow stresses were high compared to continuous deformation condition. Fractional softening was increased with temperature imterruption time and pass strain. Fractional softening of 10vol.%SiCp/AI-Si composites was lower than that of AI-Si matrix at 37$0^{\circ}C$. However at high temperature of 43$0^{\circ}C$, SiC particle promoted static softening, diminishing the dislocation density at the interface of AI-Si matrix and reinforcements, then this resulted in higher fractional softening in composites. Both of failure strain improved reducing the fracture of SiC particle and Si precipitates above 32$0^{\circ}C$, however at low temperature of 27$0^{\circ}C$, the softening effect by interrupted deformation was found to be negligible.

스프링백 저감을 위한 초고강도강의 국부적 연화 열처리에 따른 미세조직과 기계적 특성 변화에 관한 연구 (Effect of Local Softening for Spring-back Reduction of Ultra High Strength Steel on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties)

  • In order to improve excessive spring-back behavior as a result of the roll forming process using ultra high strength steel (UHSS) sheet, local softening in region of a partial area expected to be deformed on an initial blank is considered in this study. With SPFC1470 UHSS sheet with initial blank thickness of 1.20mm, the local softening is performed with the following conditions: temperatures of 500℃, 550℃, 600℃ and 650℃, and holding time of 20s, 40s, 80s and 160s. Mechanical properties, such as yield stress and tensile strength, as well as elongation, are evaluated through uniaxial tensile tests, while the microstructural characteristics as a result of local softening are also investigated using the heat-treated specimens. As a result, it is shown that the spring-back behavior of the roll-formed prototype was reduced about by 78.9%, when the local softening at about 500℃ was performed for 160s considering the practical manufacturing condition.

Decylcyclopropene 유도체가 부유 단감 과실의 연화에 미치는 영향 (The effect of decylcyclopropene derivative on the softening of 'Fuyu' persimmon fruits)

  • 상온에서 기체로 존재하는 기존의 에틸렌 작용억제제인 1-MCP와 달리 상온에서 액상으로 존재하여 분무살포가 가능한 에틸렌 작용억제제를 개발할 목적으로 cyclopropene 유도체의 하나로서 2-decylcyclopropene-1-carboxylic acid ethyl ester(DCPE)를 합성하여 부유 단감을 대상으로 그 처리효과를 분석하였다. $4{\cdot}10^{-4}$ M의 DCPE를 수확 전에 분무살포 처리한 단감을 수확하여 45일간 저온저장한 후 상온($20^{\circ}C$)에 1주간 방치하면서 성숙 관련 지표의 변화를 조사한 결과, 에틸렌의 작용에 의해 유발되는 과육 연화의 진행이 효과적으로 지연되었으며, 그 억제 효과는 1 ppm의 1-MCP 처리와 대등한 수준이었다. 또한 DCPE는 적어도 한달간 성분 손실 없이 냉장 보관이 가능하였다. 따라서 DCPE는 단감 과실의 수확 후 과육의 연화를 지연시키는 약제로의 활용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

철도 차량용 방진고무의 온도에 따른 뮬린스 효과 (Temperature-dependent Mullins Effect in Anti-vibration Rubber for Railway Vehicles)

  • Rubber materials are widely used for anti-vibration in various industries such as railways, automobile, and aviation. However, various factors hinder the accurate prediction of mechanical properties and lifetime of these materials. Particularly, a stress softening phenomenon Mullins effect greatly affects the accuracy of test results by reducing the initial peak stress. Although the Mullins effect has been studied previously, research on its temperature dependence is lacking. In this study, we performed experiments to estimate the temperature dependence of the Mullins effect. Dumbbell specimens made of natural rubber (NR65) was mounted on a stress softening tester and placed in a heat chamber, where they were tested at temperature of 25, 50, and $80^{\circ}C$. Further, five test sets, each consisting of 10 loading/unloading cycles were sequentially performed at predetermined time intervals. Based on the test results, we assessed the effect of temperature and time interval on stress softening and recovery.
