  • This study conceptualized the factors affecting college students' consumer decision-making styles from the perspective of consumer socialization. A number of antecedent variables identified by preceding studies (age, gender, place where one grew up, job experience, main reason for working, amount of allowance, family income, socio-economic status) and socialization agents such as family, peers, mass media were included in the analysis. This study extends previous studies by examining a theoretical link between the antecedent variables and socialization agents. Three hundred and forty one undergraduate students in Daejeon were participated in this study. Stepwise multiple regression md path analysis were conducted. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Six consumer decision-making styles were identified. 2. The influence of the socialization agents, especially mass media and several antecedent variables, especially gender and main reason for working, played important roles in consumer decision-making styles. 3. Several antecedent variables, especially gender and family income, were related only with the influence of socialization agents. 4. Six path-analysis models that illustrate the relationships among the antecedent variables, the socialization agents and consumer decision-making styles were proposed.

  • Public outdoor spatial environment and its convenient facilities are playing an important role in providing space for various student activities in university campus. Previous studies have shown that many socio-demographic-economic students' background and motivation have impacted the level of academic achievement. Moreover, research also contended that school facilities at some points also influenced students' academic performance. Thus, the aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between the level of academic achievement and satisfaction of various spatial environment through survey. For that purpose, one university campus was selected and evaluation indexes were categorized into five major components of physical and experimental environment, later supported by factor analysis. Correlation analysis found that extracted factors were significantly interrelated to academic achievement. Further, regression analysis also explored sense of belonging as major predictor of academic achievement. Finally the study suggested that campus plan be approached carefully, because such experimental environment as diverse club activities at outdoor environment is a key element to academic achievement even though rated low scores in satisfaction.

  • Effort to reduce energy consumptions or CO2 emissions is global trend. To follow this trend, spatial studies related to characteristics affecting energy consumptions or CO2 emissions have been conducted, but only with the focus on spatial dependence, not on spatial heterogeneity. The aim of this study is to investigate spatial heterogeneity patterns of CO2 emission based on socio-economic factors, land-use characteristics and traffic infrastructure of Seoul city. Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) analysis was performed with 423 administrative district data in Seoul. The results suggest that population and employment densities, road density and railway length in most districts are found to have positive impact on the CO2 emissions. Residential and green area densities also have the highest positive impact on CO2 emissions in most districts of Gangnam-gu. The resulting model can be used to identify the spatial patterns of CO2 emissions at district level in Seoul. Eventually it can contribute to local energy policy and planning of metropolitan area.

Adolescent who lives with a single or step family tends to have unhealthy behaviors and habits. The purpose of this study was to analyze relationship between family structure and irregular breakfast among Korean adolescent. Method: We analyzed 60,040 participants from Korean Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey 2018. Study variables included family structure and irregular breakfast. Control variables were sex, school, economic status, parent education levels, drinking, smoking and nutrition education. In terms of this study, descriptive, Chi-square and multivariate logistic regression analysis were performed. Results: After adjusting for socio-demographic variables among boys, family structure was associated with irregular breakfast (living with both parents reference group vs living with single-parent : OR 1.250, 95% CI: 1.142, 1.368). Among girls, after adjusting for control variables, family structure was also associated with irregular breakfast (living with both parents reference group vs living with no both parents : OR 1.409, 95% CI: 1.065, 1.865). Conclusion: According to this study, family structure would be a risk factor of adolescent breakfast habit. Nutrition programs for adolescent should consider these factors.

  • An anthological analysis of known literature and historical sources is carried out in the work. It was found that the development of foreign language training of future professionals was influenced by a number of factors: socio-economic (focus on the needs of the labor market, integration into the international space, scientific and technological progress); educational (updating legal documents in the field of education, standardization of educational content, development of methods of professional development of a specialist). The historical period is analyzed and the following stages are determined: ideological (realization of ideological imperative in language and professional training of future specialists; educational-methodical (preparation according to unified curricula, reading and translation as a leading type of speech activity); integration (integration of foreign language teaching and multicultural education)), methodological (use of traditional verbal methods, standardized textbooks). Thus, the research conducted in the article indicates the periods (stages) of formation, functioning and development of foreign language education.

  • Today the regulation of socio-economic development has been the subject of active scientific debate. The modern paradigm of regulatory policy in foreign countries involves a change in the role and strategy of the state, which determines the relevance of this topic. The aim of the article is to study the current state of regulatory policy research. The article is based on a bibliographic analysis of the study of regulatory policy. The study is based on the data search functions of the Scopus platform. It uses a set of VOSviewer program, online visualization of keywords in the titles of scientific journals and citations of publications. The study led to the conclusion that the number of publications that directly study the nature and features of regulatory policy is insignificant, but constantly growing. In our opinion, further research should determine the essence of regulatory policy as a separate category, a description of its features and factors of formation. It is also necessary to develop a common concept that governments should be actively involved in ensuring the quality of regulation, rather than responding to the shortcomings of regulation, which is evolving into regulatory governance.

  • Purpose: This study investigated the validity and reliability of the Korean version of COVID-19 Stress Scale (K-CSS) in nursing students in Korea. Methods: The subjects of the study were 319 nursing students from three universities located in the metropolitan area. Data were collected for two months using self-reporting questionnaires. The study verified the scale's content validity, construct validity, concurrent validity and reliability, using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0. Results: K-CSS was comprised of seven factors, with a total of 25 questions; six about socio-economic consequences, four about Xenophobia, five about compulsive checking, three about traumatic stress, three about contamination, two about danger of the virus, and two about danger regarding the healthcare system. K-CSS was validated with confirmatory factor analysis (x2/df=2.32, CFI=.94, GFI=.87, NFI=.90, RMR=.07, RMSEA=.06, TLI=.93). Furthermore, the reliability verification showed a Cronbach's α of 0.87, confirming that the Korean version of the tool was very reliable. Conclusion: This study shows that K-CSS is a valid and reliable instrument to assess nursing students in Korea.
