Effects of Work Value on the Life Satisfaction of Culinary Arts Majors

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the work value factors regarded as important by the culinary-related graduates in their 20s, and also to analyze the effects of work value factors on the life satisfaction. To achieve this purpose, this study analyzed the data of 155 graduates from departments including 'culinary arts', 'foodservice', and 'confectionery' among the college graduates in their 20s who participated in GOMS 2018. The results of analysis are as follows. First, the new generation majors in culinary arts showed the high importance of their aptitude and interest, employment stability, earned income. Second, in relation to the major field, the male graduates majored in culinary arts more highly perceived the importance than the female graduates majored in culinary arts. On the other hand, regarding the social reputation of job and work duty, the female graduates majored in culinary arts more highly perceived the importance than the male graduates majored in culinary arts. Third, the developmental value factor of work value had positive effects on the life satisfaction. Thus, the career-related staffs or professors of college should provide the career guidance by considering gender when the majors in culinary arts transit to the labor market after graduation.

사회복지현장실습이 진로의식에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Social work field training awareness on the impact of the research career)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지현장실습이 전문직업인으로서 성장하는데 있어 진로의식에 미치는 영향력을 검증하기 위하여 진행되었다. 연구대상은 G지역 4년제 대학교 사회복지전공학생 198명을 목적표집에 의하여 조사하였으며, 자기기입식 설문을 통하여 진행하였다. 분석방법은 대상 및 변수의 특성을 파악하기 위해 빈도 및 기술분석, T-test, F-test, ANOVA, 상관관계(correlation), 회귀분석(regression)을 위해 SPSS 14.0을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인요인으로 실습생이 개인의 의사가 반영(${\beta}=.197$)되는 것과 사회복지학 전공을 선택한 것에 대해 만족감(${\beta}=.205$)이 사회복지전공학생의 진로정체감에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 개인요인으로 자신이 사회복지학을 전공으로 선택한 것에 만족감(${\beta}=-.291$)을 느끼는 경우와 부모가 사회복지학을 전공으로 선택한 것에 만족감을 느끼는 경우 사회복지전공학생의 진로결정수준에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 개인요인으로 개인의사 반영(${\beta}=.156$)이 진로준비행동에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다.

  • 본 연구는 사회복지 전공대학생들의 취업스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하는 것이다. 구조방정식을 통해 전체모형을 검증하고, 성별에 따른 집단 간의 차이가 유의미한 차이가 있는지 실증규명 하였다. 전공만족도, 진로적응성, 진로정체감, 고용가능성, 자아탄력성, 취업스트레스를 변인으로 사용 하였다. 광주지역 사회복지학과 246명의 대학생들을 연구대상으로 하였다. 분석은 구조방정식모형과 잠재평균분석을 활용 하였다. 첫째, 남성과 여성은 전공만족도, 진로적응성, 진로정체감, 고용가능성, 자아탄력성, 취업스트레스는 집단 간의 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 자아탄력성과 취업스트레스에 미치는 경로의 영향력은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 전공만족도, 진로적응성, 진로정체감, 고용가능성은 자아탄력성과 취업스트레스에 직접적인 영향력은 여성 집단에서만 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 남성 보다 여성 집단이 자아탄력성과 취업스트레스에 보다 강한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 넷째, 사회복지 전공대학생의 전공만족도, 진로적응성, 진로정체감, 고용가능성, 자아탄력성이 취업스트레스에 미치는 방식은 남녀집단에서 차이가 있었다. 여성 집단이 남성 집단보다 자아탄력성, 전공만족도, 진로정체감, 취업스트레스에 영향력을 미치고 있었다.

일부 치위생과 학생과 일반계열 학생의 구강건강행위에 관한 연구 (A study on the oral health behavior of some dental hygiene students and other majors)

  • Objectives : The study has three aims: 1) to assess the perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors of dental hygiene students and other college students towards oral and dental care, 2) to provide grounds for developing an oral and dental health educational program, and 3) to improve the oral and dental health status among the college student population. Methods : The subjects in this study were 520 students who included dental hygiene students from J health college and other majors from a four-year university located in Seoul. The survey was conducted from September, 2010, to June 3, 2011. The collected 507 questionnaires were analyzed. The collected data were analyzed by the statistical package SPSS WIN 12.0, and the level of significance was set at 0.05. Results : 1. As for a daily toothbrushing frequency, the largest number of the students brushed their teeth three times a day, and the dental hygiene students did that more often than the other majors(p<0.001). Concerning awareness of the toothbrushing method and the time for the change of the toothbrush, the rolling method was more prevailing among the dental hygiene students than the others(p<0.001). 2. In regard to education experience about the toothbrushing method and satisfaction with the existing toothbrushing method, 64.7% of respondents ever received education about the toothbrushing method(p<0.001). 3. As to scaling experience and gingival bleeding, the dental hygiene students had more scaling experiences(p<0.001), and the other majors who underwent gingival bleeding from time to time outnumbered the dental hygiene students who did(p<0.01). 4. In relation to subjective oral health status, the dental hygiene students found themselves to be in better oral health than the other majors(p<0.001), and the latter had more parts of the mouth in which they didn't feel well than the former(p<0.01). The dental hygiene students were more concerned about their oral health(p<0.001) and felt more uncomfortable in chewing(p<0.05). The other majors felt more uncomfortable in pronunciation(p<0.01). Conclusions : The results of this study indicated that dental hygiene students strongly recognized the importance of knowledge, motivation, and self-care behaviors, and attitudes towards oral health and dental care compared to other college students. It suggested that regular educational programs for the college student population should be implemented to increase their concern for oral and dental issues and to improve their oral and dental health status.

해양스포츠 종사자의 직장생활에서의 만족요인이 이직에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Job Satisfaction Factors on Turnover of Marine Sports Employees)

  • The purpose of this research is to clarify the influence of job satisfaction factors on the turnover of marine sports employees and propose the methodical and scientific preliminary data suggesting the development of marine sports and policy direction. To achieve this research was conducted on 247 marine sports workers from February to March, 2013 and the findings are shown below. Firstly, male workers showed higher satisfaction rate in social recognition and salary. Female workers showed higher satisfaction in work conditions. Married workers with related license holders negative in promotion, but workers who are 50 and older with high school diploma showed higher satisfaction. Secondly, group of singles showed higher satisfaction rate in social recognition and peer relationship. People with related majors showed higher satisfaction in suitability, salary, peer relationship and social recognition. Thirdly, those who show higher satisfaction in social recognition, work condition, salary, suitability, and promotion are show a lower likelihood of changing their job.

대학졸업자의 전공계열별 직업노동시장 성과: 이공계 위기의 노동시장 원인론을 중심으로 (Occupational Labor Market Activities by College Majors: On the Crisis of Science and Engineering Majors)

  • 본 연구는 이공계 전공자들의 노동시장 성과, 특히 사회적 위신이 타 전공자들에 비해 낮다는 논의에 대한 경험적 검증이다. 대학졸업자의 전공계열에 따라 고용 확률, 고위직, '좋은 직업' 획득 확률에 차이가 있는지를 2000년 인구주택총조사의 2% 표본을 이용하여 분석하였다. 표본 선택편향을 수정한 2단계 프로빗 모형 분석 결과, 이학계와 공학계열 전공자가 인문사회계열 전공자에 비해 고용, 고위직, '좋은 직업' 획득 확률이 유의하게 낮다는 증거는 발견되지 않았다. 하지만 공학계 전공자의 경우 노동생애 초기에는 인문사회계 전공자에 비해 유의하게 높은 '좋은 직업' 획득 확률을 가지지만 연령 증가와 더불어 이러한 이점이 빠르게 사라져 40대 이후로는 인문사회계보다 '좋은 직업' 획득 확률이 낮다. 이는 공학계에서는 현장 경험에 의한 인적 자본의 축적률이 낮고, 대학에서 습득한 기술이 급격히 노화되기 때문일 가능성을 시사한다.

  • To overcome current hardship during recent years of university reform, statistics departments of Korean universities should form a new shape with efficient strategies: First, they should value interdisciplinary and open education to foster scientific generalists rather than specialists (Bode.Mosteller.Tukey.Winsor, 1949). Second, they should work out on developing curriculum and improving educational quality for non-statistics majors (Ahn.Cho.Huh, 1994). The service market is widely open and its value is certainly worthy. Third, they may change their department name from "statistics", of which the social image is not quite right, to "data science" or "data information". Statistics is a field of learning on data methodology (Friedman, 1997). methodology (Friedman, 1997).

가정학 전공자의 취업과 전망 (A Study of Current Employment and Future Trends for Young Home Economists)

  • The current employment status among young home economists and perspectives in occupations for prospective Home Economics graduates were explored in this study which utilized information from 17 to 21 colleges in Korea and colleges in the United States during the five years of 1977∼1981. The Home Economics content areas covered in this study were Clothing and Textiles, Foods and Nutrition, Housing and Interior Design, and Child Development and Family Life. The highest percentage of Korean graduates in Clothing and Textiles was employed either as teachers at the junior high school level or as designers in the clothing and textile industries. Quite a number of the graduates were engaged in further studies at the graduate level. Korean graduates with a master's degree were teaching at the college level and some had furthered their studies at the doctorate level either here or abroad. Koreans with a bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition held jobs as teachers in junior high school, dieticians at mass feeding institutions and hospitals, food scientists in food industries, and researchers in institutions. Those with a master's degree were teaching at the college level. Americans with a bachelor's degree worked as dieticians, supervisors in restaurants and institutions, extension workers, researchers at various facilities, teachers and clerks. Americans with a master's or doctorate degree were engaged in teaching at colleges or supervising at research or working as extension specialists. In general, Korean graduates were found to hold positions in less varied areas than their American counter-parts. Among forty-nine graduates those working in their professional field reported less sex discrimination that those working in other fields. The major area of employment in Housing and Interior Design or Home Management graduates in Korea was teaching while in the United States it was extension work, business, governmental work and teaching. It was suggested that in the future, career development in Korea be further explored to include extension service, research, social welfare, financial planning, business, free-lancing, funeral home, home-call, and correctional education. Interviews with executives from 6 business enterprises indicated that most of them were aware of the potential contribution home economists could make for their companies but they expressed a negative attitude towards women in general due to their short stay on the job. Jobs held by Child Development and Family Life majors with a bachelor's degree in Korea were mostly teaching positions in public, junior and senior high school. However, jobs such as nursery school teaching, working in clinical setting, business, and teaching at public, junior and senior high school predominated in the United states. Most Korean graduates with a master's degree were teaching in professional colleges while in the United Stated the job variation among the graduates was rather evenly distributed among teaching at college level, public and high school, nursery school and administration areas. Reports from 7 child development majors on the job indicated that they were paid less that secretarial workers. Only half of them were working in their major area and these expressed satisfaction with their work. Two thirds of the respondents indicated no sex discrimination. It was suggested that in the future Child Development and Family Life majors pursue employment in counseling, guidance, recreation, mass media, administration and outreach work as well as education, research and parent education in services for children, teen-agers, adults and families.

청년구직자의 중소기업 고용주 브랜드 인식이 취업의향에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the Influence of Young Job Seekers' SME Employer Brand Awareness on Their Intention to Work)

  • 본 연구는 정확한 중소기업 일자리 정보를 알지 못하는 상황, 선호 기준에 맞는 일자리 파악이 어려운 현실을 브랜드 범주화 이론을 반영한 '고용주 브랜드(Employer Brand)' 관점에서 개선하고자 하였다 이를 위해 청년구직자 700명을 대상으로 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 5가지 가치 요인(Interest Value, Social Value, Economic Value, Development Value and Application Value) 중심의 취업의향 영향요인을 파악하였다. 분석결과 청년구직자는 인재육성이나 제품, 서비스, 경영진 등 기업 측면의 특성보다 구직자 개인에게 직접적 영향을 미치는 업무문화와 환경, 자신의 전공 활용 등에 보다 관심을 가지고 취업의향에 영향을 받는다는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 중소기업 일자리 정책이 기존 양적 지원 중심에서 플랫폼 중심의 일자리 정보 활용을 강화하는 질적 체질 개선으로 변화될 필요가 있음을 시사하고 있다.

사회인지진로이론에 기초한 사회복지학 전공 대학생의 진로준비행동 구조모형 검증 (A Study on the Structure Model of Social Welfare Students' Career Preparation Behavior based on Social-cognitive Career Theory)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지학 전공 대학생의 전공 특성에 부합한 적절한 진로지원방안 마련에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 Lent 등(1994)의 사회인지진로이론에 기초하여 사회복지학 전공 대학생의 진로준비행동에 대한 영향요인을 규명하였다. 조사대상은 사회복지 현장실습을 경험한 3개 대학의 사회복지학 전공 대학생 132명으로, 인지적 요인(결과기대), 흥미요인(전공선택만족), 목표요인(진로결정수준), 수행요인(진로준비행동)의 관계를 분석하였다. 분석에는 SPSS 24.0과 AMOS 24.0를 사용하였으며, 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구모형의 적합도는 CFI=.904, TLI=.887, RMSEA=.068로 통계학적으로 적합한 수준을 보였다. 둘째, 주요변수 간 관련성을 살펴본 결과, 결과기대가 높을수록 전공선택만족이 높아지고, 이는 진로결정수준을 증가시켜 진로준비행동을 높이는 결과로 이어졌다. 이러한 결과는 사회복지학 전공 대학생의 진로준비행동 향상을 위해서 학생 개인의 인지적 요인 및 흥미요인 등을 고려한 맞춤형 진로지원 프로그램 개발이 중요하다는 것을 의미한다.
