  • Company Social Networks (CSN) has emerged as a commonly used marketing channel. One of the most important advantages in CSN is the user's voluntary behavior as a relational performance. We classified level of voluntary behavior, as 'consumption', 'active participation', and 'creative contribution' to comprehend different relational performance of CSN. Moreover, we proposed research model to compare positive attitude and negative attitude. This study aims to investigate 'the process of user's voluntary behavior in CSN' which is causal relationship between benefits of CSN, user's attitude and voluntary behavior. Empirical results with 175 valid questionnaire data revealed that CSN benefit factors played a significant role in trust and distrust. Based on these effects, trust and distrust have different influences as level of voluntary behavior, just as proposed. For practitioners, it is crucial finding that users are more active behavior based on strong trust.

The research conducted in three villages that were selected based on mangrove ecological differences in Lampung Province, Indonesia. Qualitative data was collected through field observation and in-depth interviews with key informants. The results showed that the population in the three villages dominated on productive ages, worked as farmers, and less educated (only a half of the population had fulfilled the basic education standard of Indonesia). The study results also indicated that the social capital in the communities showed minimum condition of interpersonal attachment and cooperation. This condition was derived from the attitude of the people who only took personal benefit without concerning to others' welfare. Many programs conducted by government to ensure the conservation of mangroves were project-oriented with minor participation of community. The minor participation might also contributed to the minimum of social capital in the community. To improve social capital, the communities should strengthen mutual trust based on mutual benefit to increase members' participation in mangrove activity.

A structured questionnaire was used to interview a sample of 188 elderly. Hierarchicai regression analysis yielded the results that the magnitude of the importance of the microsystem was found to be larger than any other systems investigated. The most powerful predictor of the health promotion behavior of the elderly was 'age', followed by 'participation of social activities', 'education', 'social support', 'locus of control', 'marriage satisfaction', and 'sex'. The research model accounted for $55\%$ of the health promotion behavior of the elderly.

  • Objectives : To examine the screening rate of cervical cancer in women and to find out the predictive factors for participation in cervical cancer screening programs within their life-time and within the last two years. Methods : The data was based on self-reported questionnaires from 1,613 women whose ages ranged from 26 to 60 years; this survey was peformed between December 1999 and January 2000. This study analyzed the predictive factors for participation in cervical cancer screening programs within their life-time and within the last two years. A logistic regression analysis was performed in order to derive the significant variables from the predisposing factors(demographic factor, health promotion behavior, reproductive factor), intervention factors(information channel, relation with medical stan, and proximal factors(attitude, social influence, self-efficacy). All analyses were peformed by the PC-SAS 6.12. Results : Our analyses showed that the screening rate for the women who received a cervical cancer screening(Pap smear) more than once within their life-time was 56.1% while those who had received one within the last two years was 34.5%. The significant factors for participation in cervical cancer screening program within their life-time were their income, married age, health promotion score, relation with medical staffs, social influence, and self-efficacy. On the other hand, age, number of pregnancies, menarche age, relation with medical staffs, social influences, and self-efficacy were significant factors for those being screened within the last two years. The predictive power of the logit model within their life-time was 68.8% and that within the last two years was 66.6%. Conclusion : The predictive factors for participation in cervical cancer screening program within their life-time are different from those for within the last two years. and that women's relations with medical staffs and social influences were the critical factors impacting on cervical cancer screening rates.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the current state of social activist behavior of social workers, and to confirm the historic concern within social work that the continued striving to become more professionalized will decrease or destroy its commitment to social activism and to serve for the poor. Concerned with first question, this study, based on survey data, finds that social worker's activist orientation is not low, but their level of actual participation is not high, and they favor a consensus strategy rather than conflict one. In regard to the relationship between professionalization and social activism, it is found that professionalization variables are not a consistent predictor in explaining social workers' activist behavior. Rather social workers' socio-economic characteristics variables and the kinds of agency and client they are working for are found to be more important factors. So it cannot be said that professionalization is not compatible with social activism as far as this study is concerned.
