Purpose This study aims to investigate the factors influencing social media users' sharing behaviors of COVID-19 health information. Specifically, we seek to examine the impact of three key antecedents-trust in information source, trust in information content, and trust in social media platform-on users' trust in information quality and determine whether their effects vary between South Korea and China. Design/methodology/approach To fulfill our research objectives, we conducted an online survey across two countries, collecting 408 valid responses (South Korea: N = 201; China: N = 207) for our analysis. We employed Partial Least Squared based Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 and performed Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and independent t-tests with SPSS 27. Findings The study revealed that perceived risks significantly inhibit users from sharing health information, highlighting the critical role of trust in countering these effects. We also identified variances in the levels of trust in information content and trust in social media platform between the two countries, which offers fresh perspectives for designing culturally tailored public health communications and interventions.

The purpose of the study was to analyze consumers' perceptions of gamification. Based on the analyzed data, we would like to provide data by systematically organizing the concept, game elements, and mechanisms of gamification. Recently, gamification can be easily found around medical care, corporate marketing, and education. This study collected keywords from social media portal sites Naver, Daum, and Google from 2018 to 2023 using TEXTOM, a social media analysis tool. In this study, data were analyzed using text mining, semantic network analysis, and CONCOR analysis methods. Based on the collected data, we looked at the relevance and clusters related to gamification. The clusters were divided into a total of four clusters: 'Awareness of Gamification', 'Gamification Program', 'Future Technology of Gamification', and 'Use of Gamification'. Through social media analysis, we want to investigate and identify consumers' perceptions of gamification use, and check market and consumer perceptions to make up for the shortcomings. Through this, we intend to develop a plan to utilize gamification.

Data were collected from 245 females aged 40-65 in Seoul, Daejeon and Chungbuk area residents. The SPSS WIN 21.0 program analyzed the data by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and regression analysis. Youth-pursuing derived social, psychological, and outward factors. Only an outward factor of these three dimensions influenced a significant media appearance information interest, and media contact response. The regression analysis results for chronological age and cognitive age, cognitive age influenced all variables significantly (three factors of youth-pursuing, media appearance information interest, and media contact response). But chronological age influenced significantly only the media appearance information interest. The importance of business strategy for successful social media engagement has quickly increased as more businesses engage in social media. The importance is even greater for startup companies because startup companies are genuinely new to business, and they need to increase their presence in the market, and quickly access future customers. The objective of this paper lies in exploring key indicators of social media engagements by selected startup companies. The key indicators include two aspects of social media usages by the companies: i) overall social media activities, and ii) properties of network structure of the information flow platform provided by social media service. To better assess and evaluate the key indicators of social media usages by startup companies, the indicators will be compared with those of selected large established companies. Twitter is selected as a social media service for the analysis of this paper, and using Twitter REST API, data regarding the key indicators of overall Twitter activities and the Twitter follower-network of each company in the sample are collected. Then, the data are analyzed using social network analysis and hierarchical clustering analysis to examine the characteristics of the follower-network structures and to compare the characteristics between startup companies and established companies. The results show that most indicators are significantly different across startup companies and established companies. One key interesting finding is that the startup companies have proportionally more influencers in their follower-networks than the established companies have. Another interesting finding is that the follower-networks of startup companies in the sample have higher modularity and higher transitivity, suggesting that the startup companies tend to have a proportionally larger number of communities of users in their follower-networks, and the users in the networks are more tightly connected and cohesive internally. The key business implication for the future social media engagement efforts by startup companies in general is that startup companies may need to focus on getting more attention from influencers and promoting more cohesive communities in their follower-networks to appreciate the potential benefits of social media in the early stage of business of startup companies.
The age of social network has arrived. Social media is the various online media for sharing of opinions and experiences and open for internet users' participation. As the new communication tools, social media has been in the limelight, threatening the traditional media as alternative media. In globalization, country image is seen as the source of competitiveness of a country. The goal of this study is to examine what impact does the utilization of social media has on country image, and we conducted our analysis in two aspects of social media utilization, usage volume and usage diversity. In addition, we examined the impact of factors that form the country image on purchase intention. The analytical results show that media usage volume positively affects country image, people image, political image and media usage diversity has significant effects on economical image, people image and political image.
Today, visitors of art galleries like to share their life in their communities than interacting with artwork. Meantime, image sharing of an exhibition on social media has become more important than actual watching of the artwork. Accordingly, most of the galleries have started paying more attention in organizing an exhibition environment for proof-shots to attract more visitors. We initially conducted research about the internet environment from the late 1990s to the recent years and analyzed the changing watching patterns of the exhibition since the advent of social media. Secondly, for empirical case analysis, we selected 'Plastic Fantastic' held in D-Museum as the target of analysis. The analysis targeted 500 recent postings that were discovered on Instagram on March 4, 2018, as 'Plastic-Fantastic'(in Korean). The methods of analysis included classification types of image, hashtag, and text on Instagram and were arranged in an order of relation to the exhibits. Based on the image analysis, 44.2% of the images involved exhibition displays; the others included a person or other goods. Based on the results of the text and hashtag analysis, only 3.6% of posting included information about the exhibition and 56.4% had non-related inflow hashtags only with image. The behavior of these shares is likely to gradually lose the inherent meaning of the exhibition and to the value rather than imparting the artistic thrill that viewers derive from art. Exhibition should try to seek deep interaction between the display, audience, and social media users, rather than encouraging the visitors to take proof-shots.

This study analyzed the social media accounts and performed a Big Data analysis of Z-generation fashion using Textom Text Mining Techniques program and Ucinet Big Data analysis program. The research results are as follows: First, as a result of keyword analysis on 67.646 Z-generation fashion social media posts over the last 5 years, 220,211 keywords were extracted. Among them, 67 major keywords were selected based on the frequency of co-occurrence being greater than more than 250 times. As the top keywords appearing over 1000 times, were the most influential as the number of nodes connected to 'Z generation' (29595 times) are overwhelmingly, and was followed by 'millennials'(18536 times), 'fashion'(17836 times), and 'generation'(13055 times), 'brand'(8325 times) and 'trend'(7310 times) Second, as a result of the analysis of Network Degree Centrality between the key keywords for the Z-generation, the number of nodes connected to the "Z-generation" (29595 times) is overwhelmingly large. Next, many 'millennial'(18536 times), 'fashion'(17836 times), 'generation'(13055 times), 'brand'(8325 times), 'trend'(7310 times), etc. appear. These texts are considered to be important factors in exploring the reaction of social media to the Z-generation. Third, through the analysis of CONCOR, text with the structural equivalence between major keywords for Gen Z fashion was rearranged and clustered. In addition, four clusters were derived by grouping through network semantic network visualization. Group 1 is 54 texts, 'Diverse Characteristics of Z-Generation Fashion Consumers', Group 2 is 7 Texts, 'Z-Generation's teenagers Fashion Powers', Group 3 is 8 Texts, 'Z-Generation's Celebrity Fashions' Interest and Fashion', Group 4 named 'Gucci', the most popular luxury fashion of the Z-generation as one text.
The political reformation in Indonesia is a determinant factor of the change in political communications and the roles of media. Currently, the political elites need media support, since it contextually has a significant role. Whoever has a good relationship with the media, will be loved by the public. On the other hand, the media also have a vested interest in the elite in running businesses and building the power of industry. Policies and capital pose a challenge to maintaining the continuity of the media. Independence and control of media are at stake, when the interests of the media and the elite collaborate with each other and then build a benefit on both sides. Meanwhile, the role of social media also cannot be neglected. The Indonesian political communication system is characterized by the presence of social media in a pseudo-relationship between the elite and the public. This paper tries to explain the growing trends of research in the academic environment and the research trends in political practice in Indonesia after the occurrence of post-reformation era in legislative and executive elections. The method used is the meta-analysis of research outcomes of university (dissertations) and secondary data sources. Data processing is done by meta-analysis of secondary data. The results of meta-analysis research indicate that, the objective conditions, in Indonesia, especially the political conditions, stimulate new spaces in communication research. The study of political communication becomes dominant in the academic environment. In addition, communication research is also characterized by a shift from the linear perspective (positivistic paradigm) to the interactive perspective (naturalistic paradigm). On the other hand, the development of politic and governance situations in Indonesia has prompted the establishment of polling agencies that help citizens understand the maps of political power and candidates in general elections and regional head elections.
