Purpose: The purpose of the study was to understand a trend of esports in terms of gamers' and fans' perceptions toward esports using social big data. Research design, data, and methodology: In this study, researchers first selected keywords related to esports. Then a total of 10,138 buzz data created at twitter, Facebook, news media, blogs, café and community between November 10, 2022 and November 19, 2023 were collected and analyzed with 'Textom', a big data solution. Results: The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, the news data's main articles were about competitions hosted by local governments and policies to revitalize the gaming industry. Secondly, As a result of esports analysis using Textom, there was a lot of interest in the adoption of the Hangzhou Asian Games as an official event and various esports competitions. As a result of the sentiment analysis, the positive content was related to the development potential of the esports industry, and the negative content was a discussion about the fundamental problem of whether esports is truly a sport. Thirdly, As a result of analyzing social big data on esports and the Olympics, there was hope that it would be adopted as an official event in the Olympics due to its adoption as an official event in the Hangzhou Asian Games. Conclusions: There was a positive opinion that the adoption of esports as an official Olympic event had positive content that could improve the quality of the game, and a negative opinion that games with actions that violate the Olympic spirit, such as murder and assault, should not be adopted as an official Olympic event. Further implications were discussed.

In the 21st century, informatization is playing a huge role in people's lives. Korea is experiencing the tremendous changes in social structure and lifestyle caused by informatization. This paper focuses on economic phenomena rather than discussion on social structure due to informatization. We check whether the Goodwin model, which can comprehensively express economic growth, economic cycle, and income distribution, is suitable for the Korean economy in the information age. This model is simulated by selecting a quantitative economic methodology that estimates coefficients from time series data of the Korean economy. The simulation results confirmed that the Goodwin model is suitable for analyzing functional income distribution in Korea.

This article examines community attachment as boundary condition that moderates the relationship between CSR activities and attitude in the discount store context. Using a sample of 1,118 consumers that have a purchasing experience. Results showed that CSR activities such as social contribution, consumer protection, and environmental protection have a significant effect on the attitude toward discount store. In addition, the authors found the role of community attachment as moderator. The discussion focuses on the meaning of the results for strategic CSR activities and the need for additional studies to clarify the relationship between CSR activities and store attitude.

This study intends to make a comprehensive inquiry into the meaning and limitations of Folksonomy, and to explore how to make full use of Folksonomy in library cataloging. To this end, this study examined as follows : (1) how the philosophical meaning of Folksonomy is different from traditional principles of library cataloging, (2) what the viewpoint of LIS scholars toward Folksonomy are, and how North American libraries have customized Folksonomy for their catalogs. In addition, (3) usefulness of Folksonomy in library catalogs is thoroughly discussed. Based on these, (4) the final discussion includes strategies for Korean LIS scholars and library practitioners to consider when applying Folksonomy to Korea library contexts.

Given that less attention has been paid to teachers than students in mathematics education, this study attempted to provide theoretical foundations to understand better mathematics teacher learning and teaching practice in transition. First, this paper summarized three conceptions of teacher learning on the basis of the relationships of knowledge and practice followed by several implications to mathematics teacher education. Second, this paper provided a brief overview of cognition as situated, social, and distributed. This paper then explored new implications and issues about mathematics teacher learning that the overview brought to light. It is expected for teacher educators and researchers to participate in rich discussion of many implicit issues about teacher learning that this paper begins to raise.

The modern society is one of knowledge and information, and the library is one of the important routes through which they are obtained. But the collection in the library, from the onset of its creation and the process of accumulation, could only be bent and biased due to the prejudice and distortion, inevitably acting as an agent that mires the essence of the library as a distribution channel for knowledge and information of modern society. This study is the discussion about the necessity, main assignment and the methodology of library collection study. The collection study needs to focus on the process of accumulating the collection in the library to track down the Process of becoming biased.

Current supervision systems have been changed by the demands of social, physical and institutional environment, and have a role of preventing safety accident and in improving the construct ability through the analysis of issues in quality, time, construction, safety, and environmental management. The public sector "Construction Technology Management Act", a general and private sector "Building Act" and "Certified Architects Act", the residential building "Housing Act" are dealt with supervision systems, respectively, but private small building construction is excluded from the discussion of the main targets because of their relatively small scale and the lack of social interests, Thus, this study focused on the small buildings for improving the non-resident supervision systems. Survey results revealed that the non-resident supervisor needs to be selected not by clients but by officers in order to obtain its publicity. Based on the proper selection and execution of the supervision system suggested in this study, the potential effects can be summarized as 1) recovering of publicity, 2) correcting abnormal practice, and 3) realizing design intention for increasing the public value of buildings. In addition, findings in this study will be effective to amend current non-resident supervision systems for improving the quality of buildings and communities as well as for adopting the environmental-friendly energy-efficient smart building technologies.

With rapid changes in social environments, the phenomena of consumption emerge as diverse forms in Korea-excessive consumption, impulsive consumption, imitative consumption, conspicuous consumption, obsessive consumption, etc. Especially, this researcher is interested in how conspicuous consumption of clothing has been reported in newspaper articles. Therefore, the present study is trying to infer reasons for the actual conditions of prevalent conspicuous consumption of clothing in Korean society since the 1980's. Articles in the newspaper from 1991 to 1996 have been studied to provide for study. The rapid industrialization of Korea since the 1960's has led to serious social competition and stratification. For this reason there has been a rise in the relative deprivation and alienation of low-income classes. Hence, they tend to consume clothing conspicuously in order to reduce their complex against wealthy classes. In addition, the improvement of income levels has led to a change in values towards consumption, and materialism. These changes in values along with mass communication are the main factors affecting conspicuous consumption of clothing. Finally, the present study concludes that the state of conspicuous consumption of clothing is based more on the socio-constructive dimension than the personal dimension. Further study of conspicuous consumption of clothing need to focus on the socio-constructive dimension. But because this study only infers the reasons for conspicuous consumption of clothing in terms of constructive dimension, our findings suggest further need for much more detailed and experimental discussion on the issue. The concrete reasons need to be explored in further research.

This paper is a general review contextualizing the state of the domestic health technology assessment. The aim of the paper is to present an overview of health technology assessment in Korea based on examining clinical efficacy as well as cost-benefit analysis, and to suggest the issue of appraisal based on social value. We have included a discussion of a major case study of the technology appraisal process of NICE (the National Institute for Clinical Excellence) in the UK. The review of the existing process of NICE shows that the appraisal both gives interest in health technology a sense of value perspective and raises methodological issues in terms of reliability. Details of the appraisal process and several guidelines for best practice have emerged. Suggestions are listed and their role in assessing is explained as a conclusion.

Due to the development of technology even in learning and education area, many studies have begun to make a new attempts to research by using SNS, breaking away from traditional learning methods. However, the limitations of these studies are restricted only to the use of wireless Internet and writing on Web sites. This study aims to conduct a research on English learning activities that utilize various technologies such as Bigdata, Facebook, Social Network Services (SNS) and English applications. In addition, this study looks into how these modern technologies can be integrated in the classrooms and which activities can be applied in the English classroom. This research is to suggest effective English learning methods through a thorough investigation on the effectivity of various technologies based on the Web 2.0 such as Flickr, blogs, MySpace, and online discussion board within the context of the English learning. To verify the effect of the study, the subjects are divided into experimental and control group. The experiment is proceeded with pre- and post-test. The experimental group is designed to verify the effects using SNS tools such as Facebook, Bigdata, and Online Massive Learning. A survey is conducted to determine the preference of utilizing social networking sites and to analyze the effects in class. The result is that the average scores for experimental group have improved more than the average of control group. The comparison of pre and post-test of the experimental group shows that the significance of the higher and median group was statistically significant at the p<0.01.
