This study was performed to investigate the consumption and the preference of chungkukjang products among the middle school students. The subject were 538 middle school students(male 283, female 255) in $3^{th}$ grade, and were asked to fill out the questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by SAS package. The result showed that most students knew about traditional chungkukjang(88.5%) and chungkukjang powder(68.2%), but only 43.5% and 29.4% of the respondents knew about raw chungkukjang and chungkukjang pill, respectively. When asked how often they eat chungkukjang products, traditional chungkukjang were taken often, but chungkukjang powder, raw chungkukjang and chungkukjang pill were shown to be taken relatively less. Over 60% of the students responded that they liked chungkukjang products, because of 'encourage by parents' and 'good for health', but there was no statistical difference by gender. When asked about the reasons for the dislike of the chungkukjang products, male students responded 'bad smell'of traditional chungkukjang, while female students 'eplied' not eating at home'. The students disliked the chungkukjang powder, chungkukjang pill and raw chungkukjang because of 'not knowing it.' These results showed that the social interest and support for the chungkukjang products were necessary and there was a need to advertise the chungkukjang products.

Recently family policy and social policy have focused on the balance between the work and family of working parents. The purpose of this study is to analyze the status of the work-life balance of married working women. For this purpose the eight married working women who care for 1 or more pre-school child(ren) were interviewed. The questionnaire used was consisted of 4 themes : 1) child care, 2) working situation, 3) the work-life balance and 4) the need to improve related policies. Through the interviews and data analysis we found the following : 1) Accessibility to educarecenter was considered the most important factor for working moms when they choose an educarecenter. In order to improve accessibility of educarecenters we have to install more educarecenters with various level. 2) All respondents look maternity leave and they evaluated that other services were very weak in terms of quality, usefulness and accessibility. 3) Many childcare services aid in creating work and family balance, however they are not effective. Therefore future policies should focus on providing more options for working women for appropriate services according to childcare needs, working conditions and preferences.
The purpose of this study is to understand a migrant women's married life. The study examined migrant Filipino women's married lives, motives for marriage and migration to Korea, and their married life experiences. The results showed that these women get married to Korean men in pursuit of an economically better life to support their family in the Philippines through marriage migration. As for Filipino women's perceived difficulties in married life, they indicated hardships with redrawing the boundaries of nationality, as well as their husbands' faults or bad habits which are different from what they expected before marriage. Other difficulties mentioned were the peculiar culture of living with parents-in-law, and general difficulties in married life. This study showed that marriage migration results not from external pressure or motives but ultimately from their own decision in a social and cultural context. It was also implicated that Korea's superior position to the Philippines in international economic power has an effect on family relations. The boundaries of nationality are redrawn according to their married life. In addition, it was revealed that the Korean born children of migrant mothers who divorce because of difficulties in married life are in a very poor situation as their national identity depends on their mother's future marriage relations.

Over time, the structure of the relationship between the cause and the effect has shown mostly consistent results.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify the main keywords and research topics used in research on problematic smartphone use (PSU) among children (6-12 years old), including parental factors. Methods: The publication period for the literature was set from January 2007 to January 2022, as smartphones were first released in 2007. In total, 395 articles were identified, 230 of which were included in the final analysis. Text network analysis was performed using NetMiner 4.5. Results: Research on this topic has steadily increased since 2007, with 40 papers published in 2021. Eight main research topics were derived: group 1, parental attitudes; group 2, children's PSU behavior and parental support; group 3, family environment and behavioral addiction; group 4, social relationships; group 5, seeking solutions; group 6, parent-child relationships; group 7, children's mental health and school adaptation; and group 8, PSU in adolescents. Conclusion: Parental factors related to PSU have been studied in various aspects. However, more active research on school-age children's PSU needs to be conducted due to the paucity of research in this population compared to studies conducted among adolescents. The results of this study provide useful data for selecting research topics in the field of PSU.
This study examines the factors influencing Korean international adoptee's search for their birthparents. Considering that the search for birthparents is general needs for adoptees, Korean government should support their searching activities and, first of all, understand their characteristics. The research model was constructed based on the results of previous studies, and the data set of conducted by ministry of health and welfare was reanalyzed for this study. The subjects of the survey were Korean-born adoptees (who are more than 16 years old) in North America, Europe, and Australia. The research questionnaire was translated to English and French, and the survey was conducted on line. A total of 290 questionnaires were included in the analysis. Since survey was conducted on line, the missing rate of the data was relatively high. So, multiply imputed five data sets were used for analysis. Among the variables included in research model, the age group of adoptees, experience of identity crisis in their life, the first time when they became actively interested in Korean roots, the age at the time of adoption, and the attitudes of adoptive parents toward their search were significantly related to their search for birthparents. Adoptees in the age group of 30~34 had more actively participated in search compared to their reference group (which is the age group of more than 35 years old). The earlier they became actively interested in Korean roots, they tended to be more active in searching activities. Also, the experience of identity crisis in life and the age at the time of adoption were positively related to their search. Although most of adoptive parents have supported their search, the adoptees who reported that they didn't know their adoptive parents' attitude toward search, or their parents deceased had more actively participated in search for their birthparents. Some implications for adoption policy and practice were discussed based on the results of the study.
The purpose of this study was to obtain basic information for novice teachers' adjustment. The data from five novice teachers were collected by in-depth interviews of each subject, as well as reviewing a memo diary, journal and class diary. The results indicated that the novice teachers' experiences were categorized into difficulties in social relationships, heavy workload, stress related to making mistakes, obtaining support and assistance, adequate understanding of their field of work and so on. The model theory for their process of adjustment was found by grounded theory approach. The causal conditions include mistakes in performance of work and immaturity of managing social relationships. The contexts include age of the children, work conditions(i.e. time and space), amount of workload, unfamiliarity of new work assignments, personalities of colleagues, and high frequency of meeting parents of children. The intervening conditions are composed of a guidance program for novice teachers, support from colleagues, work rewards, and the personalities of novice teachers. The novice teacher use three strategies: trying to ignore, sharing difficulties and accessing support from friends or family, as well as willful efforts to transfer negative emotions into positive ones. The consequences of the strategies include: successful career progression, survival, and desire for leaving the field of work.

The purpose of this study is to identify the overall effect of Family Hope Partner Project conducted by the Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer (KACLC) for pediatric cancer patients and their families and provide empirical basic data for the support of them. For this purpose, this study applied a qualitative research methodology as follows; 6 parents and 5 children who used the service for more than one year through the Family Hope Partner Project participated in the interviews. The interviews were conducted from June to July 2016, and the collected data were analyzed through the processes of qualitative analysis. The results of this study are as follows. Pediatric cancer patients and their families who were previously confronted with problems such as a 'barrier of severe pain' and 'swirling anxiety and exhaustion' experienced multi-dimensional effects, thanks to the intervention of 'a genuine master serving as a stepping stone toward their recovery and growth', who were linked to the pediatric cancer patients through Family Hope Partner Project. In other words, they experienced positive effects such as 'support for overall rehabilitation of pediatric patients', 'improvement of family relations', 'relief of needs for social relations', and 'liberation from pressure'.
