  • Although economic crisis is allaying in Korea, the more effective unempoyment policies are requried in this present. So in this paper, we analyze the effects of relevant factors, especially job search behaviors of the unempyoed on reemployment and look for implications to the improvement of unemployment policies. Major findings are as follows: First, we find that job search behaviors, especially the effectiveness of job search activity and job search attitude are significantly different between the unemployed and the re-employed. Second, we find that the variables of job search behaviors - the effectiveness of job search activity (number of job offers), job search attitude (reservation wage), positive use of job search methods - significantly affect the re-employment of the unemployed from logistic regression analysis results. These findings' implications are as follows: First, the approach based on search theory may be useful in finding out determinants of re-employment. Second, the effects of job search behaviors on the reemployment and their implications should be actively accepted to policy makers in order to improve the effectiveness of un-employment policies. It meams that the effects of job search behaviors must be carefully considered in making or restructuring unemployment policies and their administrations.

  • In the past decade, a paradigm shift from machine-centered to human-centered and from technology-driven to user-driven has been witnessed. Consequently, Social search is getting more social and Social Network Service (SNS) is a popular Web service to connect and/or find friends, and the tendency of users interests often affects his/her who have similar interests. If we can track users' preferences in certain boundaries in terms of Web search and/or knowledge sharing, we can find more relevant information for users. In this paper, we propose a novel Topic Sensitive_Social Relationship Rank (TS_SRR) algorithm. We propose enhanced Web searching idea by finding similar and credible users in a Social Network incorporating social information in Web search. The Social Relation Rank between users are Social Relation Value, that is, for a different topics, a different subset of the above attributes is used to measure the Social Relation Rank. We observe that a user has a certain common interest with his/her credible friends in a Social Network, then focus on the problem of identifying users who have similar interests and high credibility, and sharing their search experiences. Thus, the proposed algorithm can make social search improve one step forward.

Watching and sharing daily life among media contents called Vlog, are very common more than ever. This means that individual users could access Vlog easily and the situation could be new trend. Additionally, academic research about Volg is increasing. We analyzed three independent variables affecting a perceived enjoyment we set up the dependent variable. Information search, self-expression, and social need are set as independent variables and social interaction is set as the control variable. Information search and self-expression are significant effect to perceived enjoyment except social need. In particular, social interaction as a control variable has effect to all relationships.

  • Web 2.0 has features produced the content through the user of the participation and share. The content production activities have became active since social network service appear. The social bookmark, one of social network service, is service that lets users to store useful content and share bookmarked contents between personal users. Unlike Internet search engines such as Google and Naver, the content stored on social bookmark is searched based on tag keyword information and unnecessary information can be excluded. Social bookmark can make users access to selected content. However, quick access to content that users want is difficult job because of the user of the participation and share. Our paper suggests a method recommending search word to be able to access quickly to content. A method is suggested by using Collaborative Filtering and Jaccard similarity coefficient. The performance of suggested system is verified with experiments that compare by 'Delicious' and "Feeltering' with our system.

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss the main principles and concepts of social constructivism, examine the literature on the application of social constructivism in medical education, and explore the meaning and limitations of the utilization of social constructivism with learning theory. A literature search was carried out in two stages, utilizing PubMed, CINAHL and Education Source databases. The first search included both fields (social constructivism AND medical education), while the second search was performed by subject (Vygotsky or ZPD or zone of proximal development or scaffolding AND medical education). A total of 96 papers were found through the first and second searches, and after reviewing the abstracts of all 96 papers, 41 papers were deemed suitable for research purposes. In medical education, social constructivism is applied in areas such as (1) social and cultural behaviors (hidden curriculum), (2) social construct of "meaning" (dialogue and discourse), (3) learner's identity transformation (expert), and (4) instructional intervention (ZPD and scaffolding). Social constructivism has provided many ideas to explore in terms of the composition of knowledge in the sociocultural context of health care, but it has not demonstrated an explicit instructional method or educational effects.

  • Recently in the area of the information environment, there are lively discussions about search 2.0 which is representative of the next generation search services. In this study, we divide information search model into matching and linking models according the developmental stages. Therefore, on the one hand, we analyze the background, main concepts, related attributes and cases of the next generation search services and the other, we identify the representative keywords by the group analysis of various attributes and cases of it. The result shows that the main keywords such as social search, artificial intelligence and semantic search, and relation/network based search are representative of the search 2.0.

  • This study presents an empirical analysis of job search behaviors by using the 3rd Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS) data. The first finding of the study is that specific job search methods, respectively categorized as the indirect and the formal pattern, show the contrasting consequences of causality, as given job searchers'personal attributes and other social factors. Secondly, this analysis confirms that job searchers' education level is the most important factor that influences their behavioral patterns in a consistent manner. Moreover, it is evident in this exploratory study that job searchers' social network (particularly whether to have close ties with relatives of high social rank) is a statistically important factor to influence the extent of job search methods in use, while their fathers' education level also significantly affects the choice of job search patterns.
