This study analyzes the creation process of local cultural contents that appears in the Maeul-mandeulgi by utilizing the "Village Rituals" handed down from village. The purpose is to analyze the social values and meanings they represent. For this purpose, a qualitative research method using Chilgok-gun Yeong-ori was applied and analyzed through Lefebvre's the production of space theory. Residents began to recognize the necessity of projects such as Maeul-mandeulgi to overcome the community crisis, and attempted to change the perception of existing village rituals. This paper investigates the social and political construction of geographical scale in conjunction with Korean housing politics. Recently, attention has been drawn to the issue of the social and political construction of geographical scale. Spatial scales have increasingly been regarded as socially constructed and politically contested rather than ontologically pregiven or fixed. The scale literature has paid attention to how different spatial scales can be used or articulated in social movements, with an emphasis on 'up-scaling' and 'scales of activism' rather than 'down-scaling' and 'scales of regulation.' Furthermore, the scale literature has focused on the aspect of empowerment. However, it is worthwhile to examine how scale-especially 'down-scaling' and 'scales of regulation'-can be used not only for marginalizing or excluding unprivileged social groups, but also for controlling the (re)production of space, including housing space. Under a regulatory regime, the Korean central government gained more control over the (re)production of housing space at geographical multi-scales by means of 'jumping scales,' specifically 'down-scaling.' The Korean central government has increasingly obtained the capacity to 'jump scales' by using not only multiscalar strategies for housing developments, but also taking advantage of various scales of institutional networking among the central and local governments, quasi-governmental institutions, and Chaebols, across the state. Traditionally, scale has been regarded as an analytical spatial unit or category. However, scale can be seen as means of inclusion(and exclusion) and legitimation. Choosing institutions to include or exclude cannot be separated from the choices and range of spatial scale, and is closely connected to 'scale spatiality of politics.' Facilitating different forms of 'scales of regulation,' the Korean central government included Chaebols and upper- and middle-income groups for the legitimization of housing projects, but excluded local-scale grassroots organizations and unprivileged social groups as decision-makers.
The 21st century is a multiplication age and social and cultural phenomena have become diverse and peoples' desires and individuality have become important. Accordingly, the sensibility that reflects human taste is also required in the exhibition space. The exhibitions in this age induce the direct cognition of senses or take interactive forms that contact diverse media and react. The purpose of this research is to define the concept of haptic presentation method in which the audience perceive in the exhibition space by themselves and the visual elements spread into other senses and perceive complexly, and to present the directional nature. To conduct this research, first, this researcher recognized that haptic sensory experiential research by analyzing the roles and transition history of exhibition space is needed for the present age Second, based on philosophical theories, four haptic sensory expression characteristics (medium nature, experiential nature, attractiveness, sensitiveness) were derived by substituting Giles Deleuze's four haptic spatial characteristics (grasping short distance, dispersed gaze, cognition of bodily movement, formation of synesthesia through complex senses) and six formative factors of exhibition space (space, form, size, light, quality of materials, and color). And the effective exhibition presentation methods were analyzed through six cases of experiential exhibition spaces. Accordingly, what matters in the experiential exhibition space is to produce the four characteristics: medium nature, experientiality, attractiveness, and sensitiveness in equilibrium. It is necessary for the designers to reflect it appropriately in producing so that the audience can think and experience by themselves. Accordingly, in this thesis, it could be seen that to produce the haptic production characteristics in the experiential exhibition space in equilibrium is the important factor in the experiential exhibition space. In conclusion, experiences in the exhibition space should be approached with the transcendental haptic presentation method by which even the space of actually unexperienced cognition can be expanded and experienced through the metastasis and tension of various senses. Also, researches on such senses should be developed continuously, and this researcher expects that this will become a stimulant to present a new directivity.

This study analyzed the situation of urban agriculture development through theories, paradigms, and typology to determine the application frequency and development keywords about space forming. The results showed that urban space by distance determines "Dimension of space forming" through self-production, public-production, and nation-social operation. Second, the complex space by shape determine "Identity of space forming" through "Flat Shape" for using the widespread land, "Compact Shape" for overcoming the small and poor land, and "Fusion of Flat Compact Shape" for systematic use between Flat and Compact. Third, building and interior space according to location determine the "Utility of space forming" through land, roof, wall, veranda, interior, and infrastructure space. The concepts about space forming of urban agriculture have an organic correlation and will be developed sustainably by the evolved cases from now on. In addition, space forming of urban agriculture produces new creation space by various fusion processes and will be a development trend of new urban agriculture.

This study examined the present condition and problems of rural apartment house through documentary survey and considered the social necessity and concept of rural apartment housing. The aim of this study is to suggest the social necessity and spatial composition factor of rural apartment housing. The results of this study are as follows. First, rural apartment houses are generally adjacent to production and natural environments, and tend to be constructed in small complex of 50 households or less with the lack of convenient facilities. Second, the ultimate goal of rural apartment housing plans is to improve the livability, community, sustainability and rurality on the basis of the basic direction of rural areas. Third, it is necessary to install storages within the apt. complex and secure a buffer zone where people can wash their hands before entering the houses. Fourth, rural apartment housing should adopt the space components of auxiliary facilities including storages for agricultural products and farming appliances, common workshops, field attached to home, and washrooms in consideration of the conditions of rural areas different from urban apartment housing.
Background and objective: Recently, there has been an increasing need for relaxation and familiarity with nature in residential and living spaces faced daily by urban residents, leading to a growing social interest in urban gardens. The aim of this study was to determine how gardens in a city provide physical and social benefits, comparing cases in Korea and overseas. Methods: We used the keywords "garden" and "city" for Korea, and "urban," "garden," and "green" for overseas. We then determined the Korean and overseas research trends in urban gardens by analyzing 63 Korean and 90 overseas articles deemed suitable for this study. Results: As to the types of urban gardens, the most significant type was community gardens, both in Korea and overseas (30.2% and 48.6%, respectively), followed by rooftop gardens in Korea (22.2%) and kitchen gardens overseas (22.2%). Due to the narrow and complex urban structure in Korea, people focus on using rooftop, wall, and alley spaces, and tend to arrange container-type flexible gardens. Overseas there has been a focus on promoting health and reducing food inequality through allotment and kitchen gardens, and a tendency to use a larger area as a fixed form than Korea. In addition, it was found that gardens in urban areas had a positive effect on urban biodiversity. Conclusion: To sum up, gardens in Korea are close to living spaces, and gardens overseas influence the ecosystem with an emphasis on food production. Therefore, creating urban gardens is a method of urban regeneration with a high utility that goes beyond mere food production, both in Korea and overseas, providing comprehensive benefits for the environment (37.73%) and society (62.27%). As such, continuous research on this area of study is needed to create policy guidelines for Korea.

Currently, China's urban space is gradually changing from gradual development to inventory transformation. The planning and development goals of urban communities have also shifted from material space construction to the direction of sustainable development of humanities and society. Currently, community planning and construction at a single latitude, which focuses on residential life, overlooks the multidimensional elements of community life production, causing many problems such as cold relationships between communities and difficulties in forming relationships between humans and the environment. Therefore, this article re-recognizes the sociality of the community in the continuous unification of the community in time and space, clarifies the central and private aspects of the community, and re-explores the dynamic creation and methods of the community as the starting point of daily life.
This study has main purpose to understand the traditional house, not by outside researcher's but by inside dweller's view. The house in Geochang, is descendent house of Jeong-On who was faithful scholar at Chosen Dynasty. In order to understand, I restore firstly the house form and space at traditional era, 60 years ago, and every dwellers not only family members but also servants and guests, by interviewing old matriarch. One of the main rules of the house disposition is Ancester worshipping life. Worshipping floor of Anchae, main building, is located unusually in front of Shrine for Jeong-On, in order to connect all activities directly. Sarangchae, men's building, opened to the funeral mourners, is separated by a wall because women have to serve foods and wail at the backside. Space for everyday life is separated by man/woman, insider/outsider, master/subordinate. Agricultural production is also key factor of the space allocation: big storage buildings for rice crop needed to tenant farming. Both activities of ancestor worship ceremony and guest greeting need large kitchen annex area for food preparation and serving space of rear veranda floor. A number of guests visit the house: guest-greeting activity is taken place from the family pavilion, Neungheo-Jeong and Saranchae by the social position. This study show that architectural space and form of the house reflects exactly dwellers life.
