Demand of new suburban residential development and a variety of new types for housing have intensified by urban Citizens overused of poor urban residential environment. Income growth and improvement of living standards for the quality of the living environment are increasing demands of creating a more comfortable living environment. Thus, according to changes in social conditions, the development of urban area while accommodating additional development pressure adequately, particularly residential development in order to promote the efficient development of suburban areas are planned for the rational development direction. This study suggests the following improvement measures by analyzing the characteristics of the Suburban Housing Complexes built recently. In order to create a more pleasant Suburban Housing Complexes First, the accessibility of the traffic conditions, education and public facilities is good Second, the construction plans reflected needs of the consumers should be made Third, necessary facilities for activation of the urban-rural exchanges must be equipped.

무한한 상상력과 소재의 다양성, 그리고 표현의 자유는 만화의 기본적인 요소이다. 만화 표현의 자유는 민주사회의 기본 덕목인 언론출판의 자유와 맞닿아 있으나, 공권력과 사회적 압력, 그리고 자율규제로 인해 아직까지도 표현에 제약을 받고 있다. 본 연구는 한국과 일본의 만화표현의 규제에 관한 사례를 연구대상으로 하고 문제점과 바람직한 표현의 자유에 대해 밝힌다.

The purpose of this study is to develope a indicator for agricultural water use. Agricultural water is challenged by the increase of water use in the sectors of urbanization and industry and social pressure to use water in sustainable and environmentally sound way. The development of agricultural environment indicators is divided into 13 sectors, among which agricultural water use indicators include amount and intensity of agricultural water use, efficiency of agricultural water use, shortage or surplus of water use, water stress, etc.. Agricultural water use indicators provide basic data for sustainable and environmentally sound agricultural development, and also help policy decision makers to solve water shortage problems through water policy and water management measures by making the most of the total available water resources.

This study aims at the introduction to the recall system and its defence strategies for the automobile industry according to the rights and interests protection for consumers, the trade pressure solution of the United States and government's will for the self-certification. Therefore, I make the following proposal in view of the low technological level of Korea's automobile industry, the imperfect means of recall system, the insufficiency of the social recognition and the worst management condition under the IMF system : First, introduction to three steps for self-certification in case of changing the present pype-approval system into the self-certification and its overall operation after 2003. Second, the defence plan of the automobile industry after analyzing the problems coming from the domestic automobile industry.

All kinds of environmental problems are related to each local environment. For solving these problems, it is necessary to change regional people's Environmental Attitude in their particular community. In order to provide methods of the regional people's attitude change for solution to the environmental problems, the suggestions of this study are : 1) the systematical and continuing education about environmental problems for inhabitants 2) the persuasion process for regional people, 3) the inducement of their actions toward environmental problem solution, and 4) the social pressure through laws and institutes.

In this study, soundscape was analyzed through physical measurement and social surveys. The results showed that, soundscape components were related to functional partitions and tourist activities, at the same time influenced by ambient noise. The sound pressure levels showed daily regular changes. Semantic differential analysis showed that the evaluation of the soundscape in urban park was rather complicated. It was still possible to identify major factors including relaxation, spatiality and environment. The results provided theoretical basis for improving urban park soundscape, and called attention to this problem.

The rise and fall of social research methods rely on how much a certain method is able to appropriately reflect the change of society. The present research proposes new mobile surveying methods, considering the current and future trends in Korea. In particular, this research focuses on environmental pressure (time constraints, the presence of others and the place) as one of the major factors influencing the effects of survey modes. For example, landline surveys are conducted in the respondent's home, which is a private and fixed space. On the other hand, surveys on mobile phones can be conducted in diverse places with other people around. After sampling 500 landline respondents and 500 mobile phone respondents using a quota method, the same questionnaire was used for both the mobile and landline interviews. The findings are generally consistent with the literature supporting the data quality and comparability of the mixed mode survey. These results are encouraging for researchers designing surveys that feature mobile phone data collection.

This study focused on examining the relationship between the components of the environmental attitudes and intentions among Korean college students, and identifying the important factors in determining the behaviors for protecting the environment based on the framework of Fishbein and Ajzen's theory of reasoned action. This study suggests that the formation of an intention for environmental protection is the consequences resulting from both an individual belief and a social pressure. Another finding from this study is that behavioral beliefs with high valuable evaluations of the outcomes can directly produce a high intention for environmental protection independent from the mediation of positive attitude. Socio-demographic variables had no significant influence on the environmental attitudes and intentions among korean college students.

다양한 센서 기술의 발전과 동시에 고도 정보화 사회의 급속한 진전에 따라 현대사회에서 정보통신 시스템이 차지하는 역할이 중요하게 되었다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 초음파센서와 압력센서를 사용하여 출입유무와 주차유무를 측정한 뒤 PLC (Power Line Communication)를 이용하여 데이터를 보낸다. 그리고 그 값을 통해 LED와 LCD를 제어함으로써 주차장의 안전을 도모하는 주차장 관리시스템을 구현하였다.

Robert Lowell is one of the major poets in the modern American poetic world. His major work, Life Studies, is a representative of confessional poetry. It presented American spiritual civilization and universality for life from the late 1950s to 1960s. It dealt with the subject of the poet's private life under the psychological pressure. Lowell described his distinctive vision of the relationship of painful world and suffering self in his poetry. An important feature of his confessional poems was the criticism on modern civilization by means of characterization. Life Studies was written as a kind of therapy to overcome his early trauma, as well as the social problems of contemporary Americans which Lowell was confronted with. Through his personal experiences, Lowell exposed and judged the collapse of traditional value and moral confusion in the society. Therefore, he is a poet who opened his own world of poetry with his poetic achievements.
