  • Although social metadata has strengths in creating amount of user-contributed resource descriptions, its function is limited because of its non-systematic characteristics. This research proposed an alternative approach to semantic organization of social metadata. It analyzed the semantics of tags created in LibraryThing in order to provide bibliographic categories for describing information resources. Social information Architecture is adopted in generating the bibliographic categories so that social metadata framework can be constructed. This framework can provide the conceptual foundations for semantically organizing social metadata and is expected to be applied to the existing approaches to automatically organize social metadata.

  • Population growth in cities increases the need for service facilities and different urban spaces, and the organism of the city undergoes profound changes. One of the main problems that endanger the physical environment of the city due to this turmoil is the lack of public spaces and cultural complexes that increase individual and social pollution and on the other hand make leisure facilities available to the public. It severely limits people and, ultimately, the flourishing of individual and social artistic tastes. Thus, dealing with an issue called cultural complex has special importance and is one of the most basic categories in the field of architecture and urban planning, so dealing with it must be done in a measured, comprehensive and accurate manner. Cultural shock results from the immersion of an unprepared traveler in a foreign culture. In other words, human connection with people, objects, places, organizations and institutions, thoughts and the world of information will be constantly becoming more unstable and diverse. As a result, there is a need to create places for information or, in a central sense, to acquire up-to-date knowledge that requires information in the fields of human individual and social life. Spaces and places are all kinds of media tools from gramophone records to cassettes, CDs, newspapers, magazines, Internet books, etc. Each person can use them according to his needs and work.

  • As the development of new media and smart phone, more and more people are using social commerce application to shop on-line. Comfort and easiness of the UX design of the application directly affect the social commerce user's searching and buying the merchandise. This study analyzes the effect of social commerce application, especially focusing on the lay-out of the GUI, on the consumer's interest and we suggest an attractive application design of the UX. The material of this study is the lay-out of the GUI of 3 major social commerce - Wemakeprice, Coupan and Ticket monster. We asked questions to the university students who are skillful smart phone users to select frequent on-line shoppers and performed in-depth interview with them to draw a conclusion. As a result of study, differences of main screen layout and information architecture of each social commerce applications has confirmed that indicates a significant difference in usability.

  • The purpose of this study was to look over the sharing and flow of information on tourism tourist destination made through social media by utilizing social network analysis. In this research for compared the exchange and diffusion relationships and made information sharing among users of the network group for the Seoul / Busan Tourism Twitter. The first part of analysis dealt with the network centralization and information dissemination patterns from a global perspective. The second part was an analysis of nodes with the highest degree centrality in order to identify the most influential user within the Twitter network and determine the information flow and user characteristics with respect to the information dissemination pattern in Seoul/Busan tourism Twitter. The results scientific evidence was presented that social media users' information search behavior information to understand the sharing and spreading patterns, social media as a marketing tool, simple products and services that will ultimately provide the desired information detainee information is not a means of promoting utilization was presented.

  • Purpose: This study amis at proposing strategies on the basis of BIM techniques to promote the spread of industrialized wooden buildings for implementation of sustainable architecture. Method: We employed social network analysis (SNA) technique to identify the mutual influences among factors that hinder popularization of new Hanok as the industrialized wooden building. Four strategies were established to reduce the factors with serious influences on each category and stakeholder using BIM techniques. Result: it was demonstrated that the problems occurred in spreading new Hanoks can be reduced by changing the influence structure of social network according to the proposed strategies.

City declination makes socially vulnerable people unstable and increase homelessness. The projects revitalizing decayed area utilize local idle spaces to build new facility with creative supportive programs. The purpose of this study is to analyze inclusive characteristics of a supportive housing 'The Brook'. A field visit walk through observation and in-depth interview were utilized as research methods. The information of a representative supportive housing field will promote understanding the concept, and create base for further research. As results, state and knowhow of information concerning housing first policy, active government investment, space planning, management, social integration, service providing, architecture and so on offered to facilitate inclusive insights. In conclusion, the characteristics of supportive housing were realistically analyzed through a field research. This research is significant to introduce initially the effective supportive housing which has been practiced for 30 years in USA to that needs alternatives for the socially vulnerable in Korea.

  • Social manufacturing architecture is based on information delivery through social media and SNS, PLM and social platform, crowd source and knowledge base on whole phase of product life cycle. Although advanced social manufacturing issues are rising globally, its technology emerging into domestic industry is likely to be slow. We focused to review technological changes and R&D trend, patent issues, and then suggest assignments and advices to be practiced for social manufacturing modeling.

  • The change in information technology demands drastic change in digital library service. This study defines what a social semantic digital library should consist of and proposes a new architecture that incorporates core functions needed in designing a SSDL. The SSDL supports semantic information processing based on metadata and ontology and is an innovation system that allows SSDL users to participate in generating new knowledge by interacting with existing metadata and ontology structures. This study designed a SSDL model that consists of five horizontal and two vertical structures.
