본 연구는 담론분석을 통해 '지혜의숲'에 대한 '도서관' 명칭 논란을 중심으로 언론 및 소셜 미디어, 인터뷰, 관계자의 일기책 등에 나타난 도서관에 대한 사회적 담론을 분석하였다. 하나의 사회적 '담론적 사건'으로 등장하게 한 언론보도, 그리고 그를 둘러싼 소셜 미디어, 도서관계와 출판계 인사들의 담론에 대한 인터뷰를 텍스트 분석, 담론적 실천, 사회적 담론 등 세 차원에서 분석하였다. 본 연구는 지혜의숲이 오히려 전통적인 도서관에 대한 담론과 변화를 요구하는 시대적 흐름을 재접합 되는 결과를 낳아 '도서관의 역할'에 대한 사회적 담론을 다시 이끌어냈고, 도서관과 출판이 다시 본연의 가치를 추구해야 할 자율적 담론을 위한 길을 촉발시킨 계기를 마련했다는 데 의의가 있다.

일간지 사설이 생산하는 종교담론은 종교의 '신앙 정체성' 담론이기 보다는 '사회관계성' 담론이라 할 수 있다. 사회관계성 담론으로서 개신교 담론에 대한 이해는 한국적 상황에서 진행되는 사회구조적 변동을 배경으로 새롭게 접근할 필요가 있다. 언론이 생산한 공공담론은 사회현실 자체를 사실적으로 반영하기보다는 시공간적 특수성을 전제로 일정한 가치와 잣대로 해석된 현실을 보여준다. 본 연구는 일간지가 생산한 개신교 담론을 구성주의 관점으로 접근한다. 특히 사회구조적 변동으로써 한국적 상황을 세계화(Globalization)론으로 바라본다. 본 연구의 목적은 일간지 사설의 내용분석과 담론분석을 통하여 21세기 한국 상황에서 사회와 개신교의 관계성을 성찰하는 것이다. 사회언론이 생산하는 한국 개신교 담론에 대한 분석적 고찰은 사회와의 건강한 소통을 위한 기초 작업이며 하나님 나라를 추구하는 기독교교육의 실천적 역할과도 연결된다. 최근 18년간(2004~2021) 일간지 사설이 생산한 한국 개신교 담론을 분석한 결과 한국사회와 한국 개신교의 상호충돌적 만남이 광범위하게 진행되고 있음을 발견하였다.

이 연구의 분석결과 "건강가정 진영"의 가족담론은 사적 도덕률의 중시, 탈제도화에 대한 거부감, 가족문제를 개인적, 도덕적 문제로 바라봄, 가족을 통제하고 관리하는 존재로서의 국가 배치 등이었고, "비판 진영"의 가족담론은 정상가족으로서의 건강가정, 사회적, 구조적 문제로서의 가족문제, 가족을 지원하는 보조적 위치로서 국가를 바라보고 있었다. 가족정책 담론은 "건강가정 진영"은 "사회적(인과적) 효용"이라는 정당화의 논리, 국가주의적 사고와의 결합, 가족가치를 회복하기 위한 수단으로서의 가족정책, 이분화된 가족정책을 견지했고, "비판진영"은 간주관적 합의로서의 정당화 논리, 양성평등의 도구이자 복지국가 확장의 지룃점으로서의 가족정책, 이분화된 아젠다에 대한 비판으로 가족정책 담론을 끌고 나갔다. "건강가정" 담론은 시간의 흐름에 따라 구성되어갔고 그 과정에서 국가주의와 신자유주의라는 체계담론과 접합되었다.

Social discourses surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) in the fashion industry are vital as they extend beyond language and encompass social practices. This study aimed to understand how discourses on DE&I with in the fashion industry are reconstructed and practiced in society. Therefore, this paper analyzed DE&I in the fashion industry, by focusing on the New York Times articles, employing a quantitative research model based on corpus analysis and a qualitative approach through critical discourse analysis. Results of the analysis of textual practice, showed that the New York Times emphasized black individuals as the central discourse and created a critical racial narrative regarding DE&I in the fashion industry characterized by a dichotomy of black vs. white confrontation. Furthermore, results of the discourse practice analysis revealed that the dichotomy of racial confrontation in the New York Times article tended to select the subject of discourse related to racial DE&I in the fashion industry according based on social and historical context. Thirdly, the analytical results of sociocultural practices indicated that the dichotomous racial discourse between black and white, propagated by the New York Times, spread across social media, transforming fashion from an industry to a domain where black individuals struggle for human rights.

본 연구는 학교체육(진흥)법을 사례로 본 법안이 국회통과에 이르기까지의 제정 전반의 과정 속에 어떠한 담론이 생산되고 형성되어 왔는가를 파악하고자 하였다. 특히 미디어 매체를 통해 학교체육(진흥)법 제정과 관련하여 그동안 어떠한 사회적 담론이 생산되고 형성되었는가를 과정적 맥락적인 관점에서 고찰해봄으로써 학교체육(진흥)법 제정과 관련된 정치적 사회적 맥락에 대한 논리적인 이해와 해석을 시도하였다. 이 학교체육(진흥)법 제정 관련 담론의 분석은 학교체육, 더 나아가 한국 체육 전반의 구조적 시스템 속에 존재하는 내재적 현실과 변화의 흐름을 이해하는데 기여할 것이다. 결과론적인 입장에서 본 연구는 크게 네 가지 맥락의 사회적 담론이 생산되고 형성되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 학교체육(진흥)법 제정 관련 사회적 담론의 지형은 첫째, 학교체육 관련 법안 제정을 요구하는 사회적 '지지' 담론, 둘째, 본회의 부결 이후 대두된 '성토' 담론, 셋째, 또 다른 '시각'으로서 엘리트체육의 위축을 염려하는 '반대' 담론 그리고 넷째, 본회의 통과 이후 학교체육 도약과 활성화를 기대하는 '희망' 담론으로 구성되어 나타났음을 알 수 있었다.

This study aims to derive discourse's linguistic meaning, production method, and social practice implications by analyzing news reports on de-facility for people with disabilities. To this end, the discourse was analyzed by applying Fairclough's framework of critical discourse analysis. The subject of analysis is a news article on the de-facility of the disabled on the N portal site, and the analysis period is one year, from January 1 to December 31, 2022. First, as a result of the study, the surface meaning of the news discourse on the de-facility for disabled people was ideological through the seriousness of the problem for disabled people, the poor environment, and the policy of de-facility for disabled people separated from reality. Second, the social meaning of the de-facility news discourse for disabled people appeared from a realistic perspective, such as the structural cause of the problem for disabled people and the need for sensible government policies and measures to practice de-facility for disabled people. Finally, the socio-cultural practical implications of the de-facility news discourse for people with disabilities proposed the development of a systematic and realistic de-facility management manual for the disabled, practical government policy support, and changes in self-support perception for disabled people. The results of this study are expected to help find an alternative direction to reduce the gap between actual policies for de-facility for disabled people and practice in the field in the future.

이 연구는 우리나라 사회복지 전달체계의 형성과 경로를 '사회복지' 담론의 작용과 결부시켜 분석해 보고, 그에 따른 쟁점 현안을 설명해보려는 것이다. 연구 방법으로는 역사적 제도주의의 관점에서 경로의존적 변화와 분기점 분석 접근을 채택했으며, '사회복지' 용법의 담론적 기호와 맥락들에 대한 추출은 법제적 역사 자료들을 중심으로 했다. 연구의 결과는 다음을 제시한다. 첫째, 우리나라에서 '사회복지' 담론이 태동되는 기점은 1961년 "생활보호법" 제정 때이다. 둘째, 1987년을 기점으로 하는 사회복지관 사업 확장 및 사회복지전담공무원의 채용은 '사회복지' 담론이 전달체계를 통해 제도적 형성을 이룬 사건이다. 셋째, 근래에 이르기까지 사회복지 전달체계의 경로적 변화는 큰 틀에서 이 같은 담론의 범주를 벗어나지 않은 채 내적 확장과 조정의 형태로 이루어져 왔다. 넷째, 2015년을 전후로 해서 사회복지 전달체계의 기축 제도들에서 탈'사회복지' 용법이 가시화되고 있다. 결론적으로는, 이것이 1960년대 이래 지속되어온 '사회복지' 담론의 해체를 뜻하는지, 그렇다면 그에 기반한 전달체계의 조직과 인력, 전문성 요소들에 대한 정향이 보다 근원적 차원에서 논의될 필요가 있음을 밝힌다.

This paper aims to inform people how to support each other on social media. It alludes to an architecture for social media discourse and proposes a novel theory of support in social media discourse. It makes a methodological contribution. It combines predominately artificial intelligence with corpus linguistics analysis. It is on a large-scale dataset of anonymised diabetes-related user's posts from the Facebook platform. Log-likelihood and precision measures help with validation. A multi-method approach with Discourse Analysis helps in understanding any potential patterns. People living with Diabetes are found to employ sophisticated high-frequency patterns of device-enabled categories of purpose and content. It is with, for example, linguistic forms of Advice with stance-taking and targets such as Diabetes amongst other interactional ways. There can be uncertainty and variation of effect displayed when sharing information for support. The implications of the new theory aim at healthcare communicators, corpus linguists and with preliminary work for AI support-bots. These bots may be programmed to utilise the language patterns to support people who need them automatically.

In the context of a globalized society where diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) have emerged as pivotal values, the fashion industry is undergoing scrutiny for its practices related to body DE&I. This study examines the nature of the discourse surrounding body DE&I within the fashion industry, focusing on how such discussions are shaped, disseminated, and manifested in both the industry and broader society. Critical discourse analysis is applied by utilizing, content from the New York Times and leveraging Fairclough's analytical framework encompassing textual, discursive, and social practices. The findings indicate that the New York Times emphasizes diversity, with a significant focus on the shapes and sizes of women's bodies, developing a narrative centered around women's bodies through visible and representative domains. The analysis suggests conflicted discourse, with prevailing critiques against the fashion industry's standardization of beauty and superficial inclusivity efforts. Moreover, the industry's adaptation to social demands for body DE&I is observed as sporadic, often leveraging non-normative bodies as a marketing strategy rather than genuinely embracing diversity. This study highlights the importance of continuous, in-depth discourse and social practices regarding DE&I within the fashion industry, as well as the need for systemic changes and policies that genuinely reflect societal demands for inclusivity. The findings provide a foundation for future investigations into the multifaceted relationship between fashion discourse, DE&I, and social practices, advocating for a more inclusive and critically aware fashion industry.

본 연구는 TV시사다큐멘터리가 정신장애와 정신장애인에 대해 어떤 담론을 생산하고 있는지를 알아보고 있다. 담론은 현실을 규정하고 해석하여 현실을 재구성하는 힘을 가지므로, 다큐멘터리가 생성하는 정신장애담론은 언어표현의 방식과 내용을 통해 지배담론의 형상과 지배담론이 현실을 어떻게 재구성하는지를 포착할 수 있는 중요한 단서가 된다. 이를 위해 공중파 방송사들의 시사다큐멘터리 중 정신장애를 다루고 있는 프로그램 4개를 Fairclough의 비판적 담론분석방법으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, TV 다큐멘터리가 생성하고 있는 정신장애 담론은 '구별짓기의 완성' 이었다. 텍스트 수준에서 구별의 이유를, 담론적 실천에서는 구별의 주체와 방법을, 사회적 실천에서는 구별짓기의 일상화를 보여주고 있었다. 다큐멘터리의 정신장애 담론은 정신장애인에 대한 관습적이고 통념적 담론을 반복적으로 재생산하고 정신장애인을 담론생산의 장으로부터 배제하면서 그들의 주체적 위치를 상실시킨다. 정신장애에 대한 지배담론의 구조와 질서를 전복할 수 있는 대안담론은 정신장애인들이 담론생산의 주체 위치를 회복할 때 가능해 질 수 있는 것이다. 또한 연구자와 실천가들도 지배담론의 효과에 민감하며 대안담론의 생산에 적극적으로 가담할 때 대안담론 구성의 가능성을 열 수 있을 것이다.
