  • Objectives Obesity and climacteric symptom are affected by various cultural, social and psychological factors. This study is performed to recognize the relationship between obesity, climacteric symptom, and other social and psychological factors such as self-esteem, depression, eating attitude, stress response and social readjustment rating. Methods SRRS(social readjustment rating scale), SES(self-esteem scale), SRI(stress response inventory), BDI(Beck depression inventory), KEAT-26 (Korean Eating Attitude Test-26) and Kuperman index were given to 43 peri-menopausal women aged 45-55 and BMI ${\geq}23$. They were given written consent and this study is performed under the permission of institutional review board of Kyung Hee East-west Neo Medical Center. And height, body weight, waist circumference were measured. These variables were treated by correlation and regression analysis for finding effect factors of climacteric symptom. Result BMI and WC were not related to climacteric symptom. There were significant correlation between KEAT-26(r=0.4388, p=0.004), SES (r=-0.4748, p=0.001), SRI(r=0.6941, p<0.001), BDI(r=0.6354, p<0.001) and Kuperman index. In multiple regression, SRI was find to be a prediction factor of Kuperman index.(Kuperman index=19.033+0.7SRI($R^2$=0.490)). Conclusion Climacteric symptom is related to self-esteem, eating attitude, depression and stress response. And the most important prediction factor of climacteric symptom is stress response. So managing of stress response may be essential to treating climacteric syndrome. And it is necessary to study about climacteric symptom with many other effective factors of various peri-menopausal subjects.

  • This paper examines the influence of interpersonal relationship on delinquent behavior among adolescents. The role that parent-child relationship, teacher-student relationship, and relationship with friends play on delinquent behavior is reviewed. Review of empirical studies reveal the following results. First, adolescents who perceive their parents as being hostile and rejecting are more likely to engage in delinquent behavior. Second, those adolescents with parents, who have low expectations and who are less likely pressure them to succeed academically, are more likely to engage in delinquent behavior. Third, adolescents who feel that they have been abandoned by their parents are more likely to engage in delinquent behavior. Fourth, those adolescents with low social support from parents and teachers and high social support from their friends are more likely to engage in delinquent behavior. Fifth, those students who feel hostility from their teachers, have negative relationship with teachers, and experience greater punishment are more likely to engage in delinquent behavior. The results indicate that punishment can have adverse effect on some adolescents, further damaging the teacher-student relationship. Punishment can further reinforce the existing negative cycle that can increase the likelihood of adolescents engaging in delinquent behavior. The results indicate that a lack of support from parents and teacher leads to low academic and self-regulatory efficacy, which leads to low academic performance, which can results in punishments that could further damage their relationship with their parents and teachers and bring them closer to their friends. Adolescents caught up in this negative cycle are more likely to engage in delinquent behavior. These results indicate the need to reform the relational, social, and cultural environment of adolescents who are engaged in delinquent behavior.

  • In this study, based on survey data from Japan, I analyzed the differences between the expectations for social security and the perception of life in old age by age group. The analysis data used in this study are from the "Survey on Life Security, 2019" conducted by the Japan Life Insurance Cultural Center, which surveyed men and women aged 18 to 69. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, expectations about health insurance are higher than expectations about other forms of social security in all age groups. Second, when it comes to expectations for public pensions, both men and women have the highest average scores in their 60s. Third, the age group with the lowest average score for public health insurance, public pension, public care insurance, and survivors' pension was found to be those in their 40s. In addition, men in their 20s had a higher average score on their perception of life in old age. Fourth, the effect of social security expectations on perception of life in old age was found to be somewhat different for gender and age groups, but overall, it was found that public health insurance expectations were an important factor that had a positive impact on the perception of life in old age.

  • This study was developed to evaluate the effectiveness of a multicultural education program for college students. To this end, the program was designed to offer them a series of twenty lectures for three months, 60 hours in total, and a quasi-experimental design was employed to evaluate the difference between pre-test and post-test scores of participants of both experimental group(N=45, Mdiff=.378) and control group(N=47, Mdiff=.036) on their attitudes on cultural diversity. Also, pre-test and follow-up test scores were compared to confirm whether the effect was sustained. The results showed that while the pre-post difference was statistically significant for experimental group participants(t=4.264, p=.000), the difference was not significant for control group students. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the program was sustained among students in the experimental group at a 3-month follow-up test(t=2.466, p=.016). In conclusion, the multicultural education program, in fact, proved to be effective in changing the attitudes of college students in understanding and accepting different cultures in Korean society.

As the method of analysis, this study classified the types of lifestyles and conducted case analysis to investigate what association mechanism works to enhance the preference of design hotels by types. Study classified lifestyles into experiential activity type, social meeting type, fashion-pursuing type and hideout-preferring type and analyzed cases of lobby designs in design hotels. The results of this case analysis are as follows; First, experiential activity type mainly utilized quasi-association and approach association through senses and social meeting type utilized quasi-association and memory association through emotions while fashion-pursuing type utilized quasi-association and presumption association through intuition and hideout-preferring type utilized quasi-association and approach association through thoughts. Second, it was found that most lobby designs are characterized by association mechanism in visual formative nature and that in temporal spatial nature working in complex way, and, through such process of association expansion, space stories are created. Stories of spaces created this way become unique identities of design hotels that provide new experiences for customers.

Research design, data, and methodology - The questionnaires were created to examine variables for practical and theoretical implications. After pilot survey, conducted for 24 days from March 10th to April 2st in 2017, total numbers were 377. But 330 copies were used for the analysis with IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 23.0. The structural equation model was applied for this. Results - First, sharing economic services remain at an early stage, but it is meaningful to identify the revenue mechanism of the business model of the sharing economic platform. Second, in this study, it is meaningful that we systematized the theoretical structure by examining existing studies on the characteristics of the sharing economic service and consumer characteristics, and by examining empirically. Third, Satisfaction and Reliability are related to the characteristics of Sharing Economic Service (Security, Convenience, Discount, Sharing, Social Interaction), Consumer Characteristics (Personal Innovation, Word-of-Mouth) It is meaningful to broaden the understanding of the factors by verifying the mediating effect. Fourth, the sharing economy business is meaningful in that it is a new consumption trend that changes the meaning of consumption to consumers. Gradually, more and more people are recalling that purchasing something is not consumption, but sharing and borrowing is also consumption. In other words, through the sharing economy, consumers can experience more products and services, have more choices, and are expected to have a positive impact on economic growth by increasing the utilization of idle resources. Conclusions - Currently, the sharing economy is growing rapidly all over the world. Therefore, in the subsequent study, it is necessary to compare Korea and China's sharing economy and study the cultural and social characteristics of Korea and China. In particular, I think that steady research is necessary for more precise and specific direction on the influence of the shared economy.

  • Korea's traditional aesthetic criterion changed with a new makeup culture that followed the social change caused by modernization. Such transitional features are well seen in the cosmetic advertisements of the 1920's and 1930's. To investigate the cultural characteristics and aesthetic-criteria changes of makeup culture at this period, this thesis analyzes cosmetic advertisements carried in newspaper media of the 1920's and 1930's from an aesthetic perspective. This study found that after the late 1920's, more diverse tones were used for face-powder makeup, collapsing the visual, powder-focused makeup which had been considered criteria for beauty, in combination with smelling and tactile senses such as scent or touch. Domestic makeup had the highest value attached to basic skincare in terms of the aesthetic effect via powder makeup; however, Japanese makeup still stressed the importance of color. Besides, particular facts were found as to social significance of makeup acts such as powder users' age group, safety, superiority and rivals of products, and appeal for makeup popularization. This thesis demonstrates how traditional female beauty appears in powder advertisements in the modern period and how it is related to present-day female beauty.

  • The present study examined the relations between physical attractiveness and likability and we also investigated whether these variable's effects differ depending on generation (young and middle-aged) × evaluator gender (male and female) × target gender (male and female). Second, when assessing these variables, we figured out whether evaluators more preferred 'the same-sex preference' than 'the opposite-sex preference'. To that end, 120 college students participated in the 3D program to sample their ideal looks and bodies. Then, another 240 people (60 young men and women each, 60 middle-aged men and women each) evaluated the physical attractiveness, likeability, relationship preference, and personality of the sample. The result is that physical attractiveness is a positively related to likability. There were evaluator gender and target gender differences in the judgment of physical attractiveness, but there were generation and target gender differences in the judgment of likability. Lastly, the effect based on target-maker gender was different for evaluator gender in each factor evaluation. These results were discussed from the evolutionary and sociocultural perspectives on physical attractiveness.
