The Effect of Fashion Company's CSR Efforts on the Social Relationship and Pro-Social Consumption Behavior (패션기업의 노력이 CSR 사회관계성과 친사회적 소비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This research is a construct to understand CSR and pro-social consumption behavior of fashion consumers which classifies CSR efforts of fashion company and conducts positive analysis of the relationship between such characteristics and social relationship behaviors(sharing of values, consciousness of kind, consciousness of future expectation) and pro-social consumption behavior. For this path analysis was conducted utilizing a sample of 430 consumers who have experience of CSR efforts of fashion brands. The result is as follows. First, as a result of the path relationship among CSR efforts & sharing of values of fashion brands, consciousness of kind and consciousness of future expectation, economic efforts, relational efforts and cyclical efforts meaningfully affected sharing of values, whereas creative efforts did not. Also, relational and creative efforts meaningfully affected consciousness of kind, whereas economic and cyclical efforts did not. Furthermore, economic, relational and cyclical efforts meaningfully affected consciousness of future expectation, when creative efforts failed. Second, as a result of the analysis of path relationship among sharing of values, consciousness of kind, consciousness of future expectation and pro-social consumption behavior of social relationships, sharing of values had a meaningful impact on consciousness of kind, consciousness of future expectation and pro-social consumption behavior. And finally consciousness of kind and future expectation showed meaningful influence on pro-social consumption behavior.

  • The subjects were 349 high school boys and girls who were 10th and 11th graders in Seoul, Korea. Statistical analysis included percentages, means, Pearson correlation coefficient, ANOVA, t-test, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. As a result, there were positive correlations between social support, stress reduction and increases in health behavior. Stepwise multiple regression analysis of social support, stress, and adolescents health behavior showed that social support explained 26.3% of the variance in health behavior, The more social support subjects experienced more health behavior level and the less the correlated stress level. In the area of demographic attributes, gender, height, weight, grade level, socioeconomic level of the parents, and stress were significantly correlated, grade levels, religion, socioeconomic level of parents and social support. sibling order, religion, socioeconomic level of the parents, parents education, occupation of father. and health behavior were statistically significant The findings indicated stress was a negative factor in health behavior, and social support was a positive factor in reducing stress and promoting health behavior. To reduce adolescents stress and to promote health behavior, we should endeavor to develop realistic social support programs.

Study on the Appearance-oriented, Appearance-Related Consumption Behavior according to sub-variables of Appearance Instrumentality (외모도구성 하위차원에 따른 외모지향도, 외모관련 소비행동 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the appearance-oriented, appearance-related consumption behavior according to appearance instrumentality. Questionnaires were administered to 460 males and females of 20 to 30 living in Daegu. The SPSS 20.0 package was utilized for data analysis which included frequency analysis, factor analysis, cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, regression analysis. Three factors of appearance instrumentality (social achievement, sexual attractiveness, social relationship formation), two factors of appearance-oriented and five factors of appearance-related consumption behavior were utilized for the problem analysis of the study. The results of this study were: First, there was significant differences in the appearance coordination oriented and appearance management oriented according to group of social achievement (high, low) and group of sexual attractiveness (high, low). But social relationship formation(high, low) had not significant differences in appearance oriented. Second, group of social achievement (high, low) were significant differences in cosmetic surgery behavior and fashion behavior, group of sexual attractiveness (high, low) showed a significant differences in cosmetic surgery behavior, hair management behavior and fashion behavior. But group of social relationship formation (high, low) had not significant differences on all of appearance management behavior. Third, appearance coordination oriented was a influences on beauty management behavior, cosmetic surgery behavior, hair style management behavior, fashion behavior. And appearance management oriented was influences on body management behavior, hair style management behavior, fashion behavior.

The Influence of Social Face Sensitivity on Vanity and Consumption Behavior (체면민감성이 허영심과 소비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of social face sensitivity on vanity and consumption behavior. Questionnaires were administered to 461 college students living in Deagu Metropolitan City and Kyungbook province. Frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and t-test were used for data analysis. Social face sensitivity was categorized into consciousness of being embarrassed, social formality, other consciousness and prestigiousness. Vanity factors were found as physical price, achievement concern, achievement price, and physical concern. Consumption behavior were categorized into 5 factors such as ostentatious consumption, impulsive buying, external information search, brand trust, utilization of internet information and material-oriented. Consciousness of being embarrassed, social formality, and other consciousness, the sub-variables of social face sensitivity had significant effects on achievement concerns and physical concerns. Other consciousness of social face sensitivity had significant effects on all factors of consumption behaviors. There was significant differences in the prestige of social face sensitivity and physical concerns of vanity and ostentatious consumption, impulsive buying, and also in external information search and utilization of internet information of consumer behavior. This indicates that women showed high physical concerns for vanity and ostentatious consumption, impulsive buying, external information search and utilization of internet information of consumption behavior while men care more about prestigiousness of social face sensitivity.

  • This study investigates the influence of social desirability to questionnaire response and data analysis in order to identify the need for social desirability control in clothing consumer research. A questionnaire measuring social desirability, social face sensitivity, clothing shopping behavior, and demographic characteristics was developed. Responses of 234 respondents were analyzed using factor analysis, simple regression analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, descriptive analysis, and Cronbach's alpha analysis. The results were as follow. First, respondents were influenced by social desirability when they responded to items measuring other-conscious social face. Second, the result of regression analysis (that the independent variable was social formality) was less influenced by social desirability control because the influence of social desirability to social formality was insignificant. Conversely, the result of regression analysis (that the independent variable was other-conscious social face) was more influenced by social desirability control because the influence of social desirability to other-conscious social face was significant. This study is an initial study that notices the need for social desirability control in clothing consumer research.

The effect of social responsibility and self-leadership of the department of dental technician students on career preparation behavior (치기공학과 학생의 사회적 책임성과 셀프리더십이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the social responsibility, self-leadership, and career-preparation behavior of fourth-year students graduating from the 4-year program of the department of dental technology and provide basic data for developing specific methods and related programs to help graduates adopt positive and active career preparation behavior. Methods: The final analysis was performed using 143 questionnaires from fourth-year students of the 4-year department of dental technology at Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do, and Busan Metropolitan City. T-tests, analysis of variance, correlation analysis, and linear regression analysis were performed in IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 21.0 (IBM). Results: A significant positive correlation was found (p<0.01) between social responsibility, self-leadership, and career preparation behavior factors, and the detailed factors of self-leadership that influence career preparation behavior, "attitude" (p<0.05), "natural reward strategies" (p<0.001), "behavior-focused strategies" (p<0.01), and "constructive thought pattern strategies" (p<0.01) demonstrated significant relationships. The explanatory power values of the models were 50.7% and 52.9%, respectively. Conclusion: This study concluded that to improve career preparation behaviour, social participation through various major volunteer activities is needed to ensure students feel professional responsibility and guide and encourage participation in various self-development programs during their time in university. In addition, universities and departments need to develop step-by-step and various career-preparation behavior programs for each year level.

The Effects of Social Self and Body Image on the Appearance Management Behavior: Focused on Male and Female College Students (사회적 자아와 신체이미지가 외모관리 행동에 미치는 영향 : 남 녀 대학생을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of social self and body image on the appearance management behavior. The data were collected via a self-administered questionnaire from 419 male and female college students in Jecheon and analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, t-test, regression and correlation. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Body image classified into four factors- emotional, cognitive, behavioral body image and interest in weight. 2. There existed correlation between social self and body image. According to gender, there existed significant differences in social self, body image and appearance management behavior. 3. College students classified into two groups- high and low social self group according to the degree of social self. Two groups showed statistically significant differences in body image and appearance management behavior. 4. In male and female groups, social self and body image influenced to the various appearance management behavior according to gender. The most important appearance management behavior which was affected by social self and body image was diet.

A Study on Validating the Korean Version of the Preschool and Kindergarten Behavior Scale-2(K-PKBS-2) (한국판 유아 행동 척도-2(Korean Preschool Kindergarten Behavior Scale-2: PKBS-2) 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was validate the Preschool and Kindergarten Behavior Scale-2(PKBS-2) and develop the Korean version PKBS-2(K-PKBS-2) through the phases of concept and statistical review. For this purpose, this study conducted PKBS-2 for teachers with 1,119 young children in Jeonbuk province. During the factor structure review, according to the results of exploratory factor analysis, 30 items and 4 factors(social interaction, social cooperation, social compliance, and social independence) in social skills scale and 40 items and 4 sub-factors of 3 factors(internalizing behavior, externalizing behavior, and interpersonal emotional behavior) in problem behavior scale were extracted. In addition, confirmatory factor analysis, the model fits of social skills and problem behavior scales were higher than the original test and very high reliability and internal consistency were produced. During external factor review, convergent validity and discriminant validity were verified. After cultural specificity and cultural universality between PKBS-2 and K-PKBS-2 were discussed, K-PKBS-2 was presented as e scale which is very useful for the screening, prevention, and intervention program plan of challenging behavior behaviors in young children in Korea.

Social Support Pursuit and Apparel Consumption Behavior by the Environment Awareness Attitudes of University Students (대학생의 환경의식 태도에 따른 사회적지지 추구와 의류제품 소비행동)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the environmental awareness attitudes of university students and analyze their differences in social support pursuit, and apparel consumption behavior. Questionnaires were administered to 236 college students living in Daegu City and Kyoungbuk province. Frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan-test, and t-test were used for data analysis. The findings were as follows. The environmental awareness attitudes had factors as recognizing the importance of environmental issues, purchase of eco-friendly products, public opinion legislation awareness, interests on eco-friendly product, and eco-friendly practice. Social support pursuit were found as marginal people support pursuit, emotional support pursuit, informational support pursuit, and problem-solving support pursuit. Apparel consumption behavior were found as planned purchase, social participation attitude, clothes recycling, life practice, low-price orientation, emphasis on designs, clothing-life practice, and consciousness over others. The environmental awareness attitudes of university students were classified into four groups of Consumers of Environment-Awareness, Consumers of Environment-interests, Consumers of Environment-practice, and Consumers of Low Environment-awareness. The groups showed significant difference in social support pursuit, and apparel consumption behavior. Gender of university students showed significant differences the environmental awareness attitudes, social support pursuit, and apparel consumption behavior. It is meaningful to find out the significant relationship in a social context between environment recognition and social support pursuit related by friends. This study also offered a basic information related to social support pursuit by the types of university students' environmental awareness attitude and consumption on clothing, which is necessary for environmental education and green consuming behavior.

A Study on the Impact of Employee's Awareness about Corporate Social Responsibility on Innovative Behavior ; Targeting Frontline Employees in the Hotel Industry

  • This study is designed to investigate the impact of employee's awareness about corporate social responsibility on innovative behavior among frontline employees in the hotel industry. In addition, the present study seeks to demonstrate whether employees awareness about corporate social responsibility or innovative behavior varies according to gender, age, education level and employment type. In order to achieve the study goal, the data were obtained from frontline employees(Rooms division, F&B division) working in the 5-star hotels. And the data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis were undertaken using SPSS(18.0). The results showed that gender, age and employment type were not significant factors to generate differences on awareness about corporate social responsibility. But the higher educated employee was likely to perceive the awareness about corporate social responsibility better. Employee's innovative behavior varied on all of gender, age, education level and employment type. In other words, employee who is male, in the older age group, in the higher educated level and the full-time position tends to do more innovative behavior. Implications based on the study results are also discussed.
