벼 종자소독 전 침종에 따른 소독효과 및 효율성 향상 (Improving Efficiency and Effectiveness of Disinfection by Soaking Seeds before Rice Seed Disinfection)

  • 벼 종자소독은 키다리병 경감을 위해 필요한 과정으로 소독의 효과를 높이기 위해 30℃의 고온에서 수행하고 있다. 하지만, 벼 종자소독(30℃에서 48시간)을 마친 종자는 유아의 길이가 파종하기에 짧아 적당한 유아의 길이가 될 때까지 추가적인 침종작업이 필요한데, 품종별로 유아의 생장속도가 달라 농민들은 수온을 조절하고 유아의 길이를 확인해야 하는 번거로운 농작업으로 생각하고 있다. 따라서 키다리병 방제효과를 높이면서 종자소독 후 즉시 파종이 가능한 소독방법을 개발하고자 본 연구를 수행하게 되었다. 벼 종자소독 전 찬물에 2일간 종자를 침종하고 고온으로 종자소독(30℃ 48시간) 하면 파종하기 적당한 유아의 길이(1 mm 내외)가 되었고, 관행 대비 성묘율은 차이가 없으면서 키다리병은 64% 감소하는 결과를 보였다. 종자를 찬물에 침종 후에 소독하는 새로운 소독 방법이 키다리병 방제효과가 높은 이유를 구명하기 위해, 메틸렌블루 염색약을 이용하여 침종처리한 종자와 침종처리 하지 않은 종자를 염색한 결과 침종처리한 종자는 내부 및 외부 배유의 약 50%가 염색되었다. 따라서 종자소독 전 침종처리를 하면 소독약이 종자 내부의 배유까지 흡수되므로 내부에 있는 키다리병 포자까지 효과적으로 살균하기 때문으로 판단된다. 결론적으로 새롭게 개발된 소독방법은 종자소독 전 2일간 찬물로 침종처리 하면, 관행 방법 대비 침종작업시 수온을 고려하지 않아도 되고 벼 품종과 소독약 종류에 상관없이 유아의 길이는 1 mm 내외가 되어 농작업의 효율성을 높일 수 있으며 키다리병 발생을 관행대비 감소시킬 수 있어 농업현장에서 유용하게 사용될 것이다.

GA3 처리가 유색칼라 괴경의 개화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of GA3 Treatment on the Flowering in Tuber of Zantedeschia 'Black Magic')

  • GA3 침지시간과 농도에 따른 출현소요일수는 GA3 처리가 무처리에 비하여 1.1~4.0일 단축되었으며 생육특성도 GA3 처리가 양호한 경향이었으나 GA3 침지 시간과 농도에 따른 차이는 적었다. 개화소요일수는 GA3 처리가 무처리보다, 30분 침지가 10초 침지보다, 그리고 농도가 높을수록 단축되었으나 화경장, 화경폭, 화고 및 화폭 등은 처리간 차이가 없었다. 또한 개화수는 GA3 농도에 따른 효과가 커서 250~500 mg·L-1 처리가 4.0~4.3개로 최고 2배 많았으나 GA3 침지 시간에 따른 개화수 차이는 크지 않았다. 정상화율과 구근비대상황은 침지시간 및 농도에 관계없이 비슷하였다. 이로써 GA3 처리는 개화수 증가를 위해 반드시 필요하며 침지시간에 상관없이 처리농도는 250~500mg·L-1가 적당할 것으로 판단된다.

단감 장아찌의 저염 침지 중 유기산과 당의 종류에 따른 이화학적 특성의 변화 (Changes in Physicochemical Characteristics during Soaking of Persimmon Pickles Treated with Organic Acids and Sugars)

  • 단감 장아찌 제조 시 침지액의 식염 농도를 낮추는 대신 유기산과 당을 첨가하여 침지 기간 중 단감 장아찌와 침지액의 이화학적 특성 변화를 조사하였다. 단감 장아찌의 pH는 초기 6.64에서 침지 70일째 대조구 pH 3.99, 구연산 처리구 pH 2.76-3.33, 초산 처리구 pH 3.08-3.34를 나타냈다. 총산 함량은 침지 기간 중 계속 증가하여 침지 70일째 구연산 처리구 0.61-0.78%, 초산 처리구 0.86-1.18%로서 초산 처리구의 산 함량이 높았다. 당도$(^{\circ}Brix)$의 경우도 침지 70일째 초산 처리구가 $20.2-23.8^{\circ}Brix$로서 구연산 처리구 $18.4-19.2^{\circ}Brix$ 보다 높았다. 염도의 경우 침지 70일째 대조구는 6.69%이었으며, 스테비아 잎 분말 처리구 4.94-4.96%, 삭카린나트륨 처리구 4.00-5.15%, 설탕 처리구 2.99-3.31%, 이소말토올리고당 처리구 3.03-3.30%를 나타내 유기산과 당의 첨가 시 장아찌의 염도가 대조구보다 1.54-3.70% 정도 낮게 나타났다. 초산 처리구의 수분함량은 대조구와 비슷하였으며, 구연산 처리구보다 낮았다. 단감 장아찌의 경도는 침지 20-40일까지 증가하다가 그 이후 감소하는 경향을 나타냈다. 색도는 구연산 처리구의 명도(L), 적색도(a) 및 황색도(b)가 다른 처리구보다 높게 나타나 단감 장아찌의 색상 유지에 좋은 효과를 나타냈다. 침지 70일째 감장아찌를 관능검사한 결과 색상, 조직감 및 전체적인 기호도에서 구연산 처리구에 대한 선호도가 가장 높았다.

Extraction of β-glucosidase from Bagasse Fermented by Mixed Culture under Solid State Fermentation

  • Various parameters such as solvent selection, concentration, solid/liquid ratio, soaking time, temperature, stationary, shaking conditions, and repeated extractions were investigated in order to determine the optimum extraction conditions of ${\beta}$-glucosidase from bagasse fermented by mixed culture of Aspergillus niger NRC 7A and Aspergillus oryzae NRRL 447. Among various solvents tested, non ionic detergents gave the best results than the inorganic or organic salt solutions and distilled water. The optimum conditions for extraction of ${\beta}$-glucosidase were 30 min soaking time at $40^{\circ}C$ under shaking condition at 150 rpm, with solid/liquid ratio 1:15 (w/v), which yielded $2882.74{\pm}95.52U/g$ fermented culture (g fc) of enzyme activity. With repeated washes under the above optimum conditions, the results showed that enzyme extracted in the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ washes represents about 90% of the total activity.

$BaTiO_3-SrTiO_2$ 계의 고상반응과 유전성 (Solid State Reactions and Dielectric Properties of $BaTiO_3-SrTiO_2$ System)

  • $BaTiO_3$ and $SrTiO_2$ were mixed with the mole ratio of 36:65:50, 50: 50 and 65:35 and then heated at 110$0^{\circ}C$~130$0^{\circ}C$ for 1~64 hrs. The solid state reactions and dielectric properties were investigated as a function of amount of solid solution. Activation energy of solid solution decreased with increasing amount of $BaTiO_3$ due to fast diffusion of $Ba^{2+}$ ions. Dielectric constants increased with increasing the soaking time at 125$0^{\circ}C$and 130$0^{\circ}C$ and Curie Temperature shifted to higher temperature with increasing the soaking time at 125$0^{\circ}C$ and 130$0^{\circ}C$. It attributes to the am-ount of solid solution and grain growth, Dielectric constants decreased and Curie Temperature shifted to lower temperature due to decreasing polari-zability.

조리방법에 따른 쌀밥에 관능적 성질 및 휘발성 성분에 관한연구 (Sensory Characteristics and Volatile Compounds of Cooked Rice according to the Various Cook Method)

  • Moisture absorption rate of rice according to the soaking time was higher at $25^{\circ}C$ than 4$^{\circ}C$ and the op-timum soaking time was 1hr at $25^{\circ}C$. When the ratios of added water for rice cooking were 1.3 in an elec-tric cooker and pressure cooker and 1.7 in an Dookbaeki sensory an mechanically evaluation of cooked rice were highly evaluated. The total number of peak on gas chromatography profile were 89 in an press-ure cooker 56 in an electric cooker and 83 in an Dookbaeki and major volatile compounds of cooked rice were aliphatic hydrocarbons cyclic hydrocarbons aromatic hydrocarbons aldehydes alcohols ketones and thiourea. Furan that is in sweety was not detected in volatile components of cooked rice of electric cooker.

갈대 및 가는갯능쟁이의 발아에 미치는 NaCl의 효과 (Effect of NaCl on Germination of Artiplex gmelini and Pharagmites communis)

  • The results of the conducted experiment obtained basic data on seed germination for Phragmites communis and Atriplex gmelini were; Seed germination was not influenced till 0.5% NaCl, but at over 1.0% NaCl it dropped remarkably. The germination limit fro degree of NaCl was 2.0% in Phragmites communis. Atriplex gemelini was 2.5% and in accordance with the increase of the degree of NaCl. Germination speed showed a negative correlation being highly significant and the germination period lengthened. Compared with growing top plants, growth of roots was largely influenced by a high degree of NaCl. In accordance with the rise of temperature, the germination rate, and speed of both plants remarkably increased and the germination period was shortened. Ubride of Atriplex gmelini was germinated at the early days of picking but was not as the passing of the period. The seeds also did not germinated likewise Ubride. By a seedcoat breaking germination became 81%. During 20 min soaking treatment in conc H2SO4 seed germination possibility of 63% was known to be hard. Adequate soaking time in conc H2SO4 was 17.5 min.

열간압연에 의한 스테인레스 클래드강 제조 (Fabrication of stainless clad steel by hot rolling)

  • Stainless clad steels were made through hot rolling process. Backing plates employed in this study were HSLA steel and mild steel. The shear bond strength increased with an increase of the soaking temperature and time. It was also found that the shear bond strength increased with an increase of the reduction ratio. The threshold deformation was observed to be 20% and 10% respectively when the soaking conditions of 15 min. at 900.deg. C and 30 min. at 1000.deg. C were applied. Either the rolling or the transverse direction did not give any significant difference in the shear bond strength. Stainless steel-HSLA steel was superior to stainless steel-mild steel in the same range of magnitude. Because the above experimental results were in contrary to the existing mechanisms, the new model was proposed to describe the bonding mechanism and the void formation.

PTC 서어미스타 소자의 소성온도에 따른 Grain의 성장상태 (Grain growth of the PTC thermistor according to the soaking temperature)

  • Although several kinds of conduction mechanism of PTC thermistor have been reported, there were few satisfying results. In this paper, the reported conduction mechanism theories were scrutinized and analyzed by using the experimental results. PTC thermistors for this study were manufactured by adding Sb$\_$2/O$\_$3/, AI$\_$2/O$\_$3/, TiO$\_$2/, and SiO$\_$2/ to BaTiO$\_$3/, and by sintering it at different temperatures. In order to analyze the conduction mechanism, R-T characteristics and its frequency dependence of specimens were measured. And also, the structures of specimens were studied. Especially this paper emphasized the explanation of the resistivity characteristics as the grain growth state of PTC thermistor specimens with respect to soaking temperature. According to the results, the resistivity of PTC thermistor whose grain was formed by semiconducting, was independent to the grain size at room temperature. For small and uniform grain size, the slope of the resistivity near the Curie temperature and the resistivity above the Curie temperature became greater and PTCR effect was improved.

Controlled Release of Progesterone from Polyethylene Oxide-Silicone Rubber Matrix

  • The release of progesterone from monolithic devices composed of different ratios of polyethylene oxide (PEO; mw 20, 000) and hydrophobic polydimethylsiloxane was investigated. Water soluble PEO soaked into the polymer provided controlled release of progesterone. The release rate of progesterone could be controlled by varying the contents of PEO and progesterone in soaking solution. The progesterone release rate from silicone devices increased as the content of PEO in devices increased, while it decreased as the content of PEO in soaking solution increased. The release rate may be made by simple alterations of geometry of devices controlled swelling and the change in the physical structure of polymer network. Hydrophobic polydimethylsiloxane containing PEO and progesterone can provide a contraceptive material for prolonged release of progesterone.
