다경로 환경에서 WLAN 시스템을 위한 스마트 안테나의 성능 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Analysis of Smart Antennas for WLAN System in a Multipath Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11b WLAN시스템에서 간섭 억제에 관한 효과적인 기술을 제시하였다 선형 제약형 적응 어레이 처리기는 동일 채널 간섭 신호와 다중 경로 효과를 효과적으로 감소시켜 WLAN 장치의 수신 성능 향상을 위하여 제안되었다. 공간 유화 방법은 다중경로 환경에서 원하는 신호의 왜곡을 방지하는데 사용되며, integral null 지정 방법은 실내 환경에서 어레이 성능을 향상시키기 위해 제안하였다. 공간 유화 방법이 선형 제약형 방법보다 성능이 보다 우수하였으며, integral null지정 방법을 적용한 어레이 시스템이 가장 좋은 성능을 나타내었다. 본 논문에서 제안된 방법은 동일 채널 신호, 다중 경로 신호, 그리고 긴WPAN 간섭을 효과적으로 제거함으로써 WLAN의 성능이 향상될 것으로 기대된다.

  • In this paper development of an automatic grid generation program for flow field calculation around 3D wing is described and its application is also introduced. The program is developed by using JAVA programming language and a graphic library, JOGL, and it can be usee either as an application program on a local computer or as a applet in the network environment. Currently, The program provides NACA series 4-digit airfoils as the wing cross-section shape and it offers a non-complicated GUI program which can easily generate structured grids for wings based on user's parameter input. Grid generated by the program can be selected as one of two types; O-type and C-type. In this research advancing layer method(ALM) augmented by elliptic smoothing method is used for the FLUENT. It is shown that by using current program high-quality structured grids around 3D wings can be easily generated, and typical grid generation results and flow solutions are demonstrated. Study on effects of geometric parameters on flow field is also tried by changing major wing parameters such as incidence angle type of wing-tip and sweepback angle.

The Effects of Widening Daily Stock Price Limits on the Relevance between Audit Quality and Stock Return

  • The study investigates the effect of the widened daily stock price limits on the usefulness of accounting information in Korea: 1) whether investors place a higher importance on audit quality, an indicator of the reliability of accounting information, and 2) whether there are differences in the relationships between audit quality and stock-price earning-rates two years before and after June 15, 2016. This study employs samples of two years (2013 to 2015) before the widening and two years after the widening (2016 to 2017). The samples are limited to the companies listed on the Korea Stock Exchange, accounting settled in December, collected from Fn-Guide and TS-2000 of the Korea Listed Companies Association. The results show that the positive association between audit quality and stock return was increased during the later period, compared to the preceding period. This tendency was more evident in companies with higher debt ratios and companies with lower levels of income smoothing, which is considered to have higher risks. The findings suggest that it is the first study evaluating the effect of widening daily stock price limits, made on June 15, 2015, on the usefulness of audit quality information by examining the relevance between audit quality and stock return.

  • Polarography is a subclass of voltammetry where the working electrode is a dropping mercury electrode. More, I developed the experiment for raising up mercury electrode. In Voltammetry, information about an analyte is obtained by measuring the current as the potential is varied at oxidation-reduction reaction. A plot of current vs. potential in a polarography experiment shows the current oscillations correspoding to the drops of Hg falling from the capillary. The drops growth causes capacitive and faradic current. These changing current effects combined with experiments where the potential is continuously changed can result in noisy traces. The raising up type improved upon the method of dropping in hardware. In reduction of the noise, moving average smoothing method have been used. But the other procedure is introduced based on Fourier transformation. So FFT and IFFT engine was implemented and installed in my experiment. However, after experimentation, peak height as the measuring parameter gave a good linear relationship to concentration. The resolution of potential peaks of various kinds, using Zn and Cu as the example, was improved using the smoothing method.

  • This paper describes a way of implementing the segmentation of 128*128 pixel images to be used as the inputs. to a real-time automatic video tracker. The suggested method uses the lowest valley-value of the computed intensity historgram with 16 levels. This method improves smoothing effects and also significantly reduces hardware requirements. Entire segmentation process is caried out in 10msec thus making a real time application possible.

TRAFFIC FLOW MODELS WITH NONLOCAL LOOKING AHEAD-BEHIND DYNAMICS

  • Motivated by the traffic flow model with Arrhenius looka-head relaxation dynamics introduced in [25], this paper proposes a traffic flow model with look ahead relaxation-behind intensification by inserting look behind intensification dynamics to the flux. Finite time shock formation conditions in the proposed model with various types of interaction potentials are identified. Several numerical experiments are performed in order to demonstrate the performance of the modified model. It is observed that, comparing to other well-known macroscopic traffic flow models, the model equipped with look ahead relaxation-behind intensification has both enhanced dispersive and smoothing effects.

  • This article develops a cost-effective and accurate measurement system for heart best intervals. The system is composed of an analog to digital (A/D) converter, an IBM personal computer (an 8088 microprocessor, an 8253-5 timer, an 8259A interrupt controller, and memories) and assembler programs for controlling these hardware components. An exponential smoothing algorithm effectively reduced noise effects from A/D converted electrocardiogram (ECG) signals influenced by 60 Hz alternating current (AC). The system can collect 15000 heart beat intervals with an 1/5400 second unit.

직접격자 사상법을 이용한 차체 구조물의 유한요소 역해석 및 성형효과를 고려한 충돌해석 (Inverse Finite Element Analysis of Autobody Structures with a Direct Mesh Mapping Method for Crash Analysis Considering Forming Effets)

  • A finite element inverse analysis is utilized to consider forming effects of an S-rail on the assessment of the crashworthiness with small amount of computation time. A crash analysis can be directly performed after the inverse simulation of a forming process without a smoothing or remeshing scheme. The direct mesh mapping method is used to calculate an initial guess from a sliding constraint surface that is extracted from the die and punch set. Analysis results demonstrate that energy absorption of structures is increased when simulation considers forming effects of thickness variation and work hardening. The finite element inverse analysis is proved to be an effective tool in consideration of forming effects for the crash analysis.

Number of sampling leaves for reflectance measurement of Chinese cabbage and kale

  • Objective of this study was to investigate effects of pre-processing method and number of sampling leaves on stability of the reflectance measurement for Chinese cabbage and kale leaves. Chinese cabbage and kale were transplanted and cultivated in a plant factory. Leaf samples of the kale and cabbage were collected at 4 weeks after transplanting of the seedlings. Spectra data were collected with an UV/VIS/NIR spectrometer in the wavelength region from 190 to 1130 nm. All leaves (mature and young leaves) were measured on 9 and 12 points in the blade part in the upper area for kale and cabbage leaves, respectively. To reduce the spectral noise, the raw spectral data were preprocessed by different methods: i) moving average, ii) Savitzky-Golay filter, iii) local regression using weighted linear least squares and a $1^{st}$ degree polynomial model (lowess), iv) local regression using weighted linear least squares and a $2^{nd}$ degree polynomial model (loess), v) a robust version of 'lowess', vi) a robust version of 'loess', with 7, 11, 15 smoothing points. Effects of number of sampling leaves were investigated by reflectance difference (RD) and cross-correlation (CC) methods. Results indicated that the contribution of the spectral data collected at 4 sampling leaves were good for both of the crops for reflectance measurement that does not change stability of measurement much. Furthermore, moving average method with 11 smoothing points was believed to provide reliable pre-processed data for further analysis.

DCT 기반 압축 영상의 화질 개선을 위한 적응적 후처리 기법 (Adaptive Postprocessing Technique for Enhancement of DCT-coded Images)

  • 본 논문에서는 블록 기반 DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform)에 의한 압축 영상의 화질을 개선하기 위한 적응적 후처리 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 1차원의 비교적 간단한 디블록킹 필터(deblocking filter)와 2차원의 방향성 기반 화질 개선 필터를 연속적으로 적용하는 형태로 이루어져 있다. 먼저, 영상의 국부 통계적 특성에 따라 적응적인 임계값을 설정하여 1차원 디블록킹 필터를 적응적으로 적용한다. 1차원 필터링을 수행한 후 블록간의 연속성을 향상시켜 인지되는 화질을 향상시키기 위하여 업데이트 과정을 수행하게 된다. 이후, 실제 에지(edge) 및 텍스쳐(texture) 정보를 보존하면서 에지 주위의 링잉 현상(ringing effects) 및 블록의 교차점에 존재하는 불연속 현상을 제거하기 위하여 2차원 방향성 기반 화질 개선 필터를 적용한다. 실험 결과 제안한 알고리즘은 기존의 다양한 화질 개선을 위한 후처리 기법에 비해 높은 PSNR을 나타내면서 우수한 주관적 화질 결과를 보인다.
