This paper analyzes the side channel attacks for smartcard devices, and proposes the smartcard suity evaluation criteria for side-channel attacks. To setup the smartcard security evaluation criteria for side-channel attacks, we analyze similar security evaluation criteria for cryptographic algorithms, cryptographic modules, and smartcard protection profiles based on the common criterion. Futhermore, we propose the smartcard security evaluation criteria for side-channel attacks. It can be useful to evaluate a cryptosystem related with information security technology and in addition, it can be applied to building smartcard protection profile.
Smartcard is highlighted as infrastructure that has an excellent security for executing functions such as user authentication, access control, information storage and control, and its market is expanding rapidly. But possibilities of forgery and alteration by hacking are increasing as well. This Paper makes cut off of Smartcard forgery and alteration that use angular multiplexing and private key multiplexing hologram on holographic security Encryption, and proposes system capable verfication of forgery and alteration impossible on existing smartrard by adopting smartcard chip and holographic memory chip.

Smartcard is a kind of computing device with it's own processor and memory Thus, the international money market is going to accomodate the use of smartcards instead of traditional magnetic cards for the future money market. EMV is a standard protocol for smartcards, proposed by Europay, Mastercard, and Visa, which are three famous international settlement organizations. This paper presents the implementation of EMV specifications for the smartcard terminals for supporting various application programs. This paper shows that the implemented EMV terminal passes the international approval tests.
In this paper, we propose a key distribution scheme for flexible chipset pairing conditional access system. Chipset pairing conditional access system is the implementation of CA (Conditional Access) module by using both embedded secure chip in a Set-Top Box(STB) and smartcard, and the secure chip embedded in a STB forms a secure channel between the smartcard and the STB. In short, it is the system that a smartcard outputs encrypted CW (Control Word) to the STB, and the STB decrypts an encrypted CW by using the embedded secure chip. The drawback of this chipset pairing conditional access system is that one smartcard is able to be used for only one specified STB since it is the system using the STB bound to a smartcard. However, the key distribution scheme proposed in this paper overcomes a drawback of current chipset pairing conditional access system by using Chinese Remainder Theorem(CRT). To be specific, with this scheme, one smartcard can be used for multiple, not single, STBs, and applied to current chipset pairing without great changes.

With the rapid development of information and communication technology, online dissemination increases rapidly. So, It becomes more important to protect information. Recently the authentication system using public key infrastructure (PKI) is being utilized as an information protection infrastructure for electronic business transactions. And the smartcard system makes the most use of such an infrastructure. But because the certification based on the current PKI provides oかy basic user certification information, the use has to be limited in various application services that need the identification and authorization information as well as face-to-face information of the user. In order to protect a system from various kinds backings and related treats, we have proposed angular and private key multiplexing for prevention of smartcard forgery and alteration based on a photopolymer cryptosystem. When smartcard becomes prone to forgery and alteration, we should be able to verify it. Also, our parer proposes a new authentication system using multi authentication based on PKI. The smartcard has an excellent advantage in security and moving.

Smartcard is highlighted as infrastructure that has an excellent security for executing functions such as user authentication, access control, information storage and control, and its market is expanding rapidly. But possibilities of forgery and alteration by hacking are increasing as well. This paper proposes a method to prevent card forgery and alteration using angular multiplexing and private key multiplexing method on optical encryption, and proposed a Public Key Infrastructure(PKI)-based authentication system combined with One-Time Password (OTP) for verification of forgery and alteration .
Depending upon the existence of the battery, transponder is divided into active and passive transponder. The passive transponder operates without the inner battery and so has no limitation in its operating range and life time. But the power consumption in the smartcard should be low. In this paper, the analysis and design of the passive smartcard system oerated at 125kHz is presented and is confirmed by simulation and experiment.

Public transit services are generally analyzed based on the correlation of demand and supply. The computation of supply uses accessibility while demand uses travel demands estimation based on residential population. However, the traditional demand estimation has a limitation in analysing in micro-scale compared to the smartcard data traffic. This study analyzed potential improvement of public transit services using smartcard traffic data. The supply of transportation was defined using time distance accessibility. Also, time loss was calculated in those origin destination(OD) pairs where time distance accessibilities are relatively low. The proposed method was applied at Seoul. The results showed that the areas where OD pairs need improvement include Seodaemun-gu, Guro-gu and Nowon-gu.

Smartcards are used as the basic data for utilizing the various transportation policies and evaluations, etc. and provided the transportation basic statistics index. However, the main problem of the smartcard data is that the most of users do not take the alighting tag at the stop, so there is a limit to the scope of use for the total O-D trip data because incomplete O-D traffic data of transportation card users. In this study, a decision tree of learning model is estimated for the alighting stop of smartcard users. The model estimation accuracy in range less than 2 stops interval was 89.7% on average. By eliminating the incompleteness alighting stop of smartcard data through this model, it is expected to be used as the basic data for various transportation analyses and evaluations.

In this paper, a study has been performed on the design of small loop probe and analysis of induced electromagnetic wave signal from a smartcard for contactless cryptographic analysis. Probes for cryptographic analysis are different from conventional EM probes, because the purpose of proposed probe is to obtain the information for secret key analysis of cryptographic system. The waveform of induced voltage on probe must be very close to radiated waveform from IC chip on smartcard because electromagnetic attack makes an attempt to analyze the radiated waveform from smartcard. In order to obtain secret key information, we need to study about cryptographic analysis using electromagnetic waves, an approximate model of source, characteristic of probe for cryptographic analysis, measurement of electromagnetic waves and calibration of probes. We measured power consumption signal on a smartcard chip and electromagnetic wave signal using proposed probe and compared with two signals of EMA point of view. We verified experimently the suitability of the proposed small loop probe for contactless cryptographic analysis by applying ARIA algorithm.
