  • Smart Factory consists of digital automation solutions throughout the production process, including design, development, manufacturing and distribution, and it is an intelligent factory that installs IoT in its internal facilities and machines to collect process data in real time and analyze them so that it can control itself. The smart factory's equipment works in a physical combination of numerous hardware, rather than a virtual character being driven by a single object, such as a game. In other words, for a specific common goal, multiple devices must perform individual actions simultaneously. By taking advantage of the smart factory, which can collect process data in real time, if reinforcement learning is used instead of general machine learning, behavior control can be performed without the required training data. However, in the real world, it is impossible to learn more than tens of millions of iterations due to physical wear and time. Thus, this paper uses simulators to develop grid sortation systems focusing on transport facilities, one of the complex environments in smart factory field, and design cooperative multi-agent-based reinforcement learning to demonstrate efficient behavior control.

The cellphone has become one of the essential influences on modem people beyond the meaning itself by the release and the commercialization of the Smartphone. Thus, it considers that the introduction of fashion for cellphones and digital devices to be always on should be a quite natural design attempt for humans to wear clothes at all times. In addition, outdoor activities increase as the population enjoys more sports and leisure time that requires the development of specialized outwear such as the development of a functional jacket. This specialized field is associated with higher value-added businesses. This study made a prototype of a functional jacket equipped with solar cells that established a system of a fashion design that is harmonious with green growth as a plan to measure of fashion design for green growth. The objects of this study are as follow: First, the study seeks a design method for green growth. Second, it makes a prototype to present the improved design method. Third, it presents the establishment of a design system that considers green growth and the concrete measures practical for the system. It established the design system and made the prototype of functional jacket equipped with solar cells, LED, and digital devices as a measure of design for green growth based on the improvement plan of the design that the problems had been supplemented for. Previous studies were mainly about prototypes that attempted to equip mobile digital devices as a study of smart wear; however, this study leaves the issue of power supply for a follow-up study that is different from preceding studies.

  • This research studied how to develop tight upper sportswear from 3D scan data considering fabric stretch property. Subjects were five Korean men of average figure in their 20's. Scanning was done for ten postures via vitus smart/pro(Techmath LTD). Analyzing from 3D scan data, more than 70% of the upper body surface showed surface change rate under 20%. It was shoulder and under arm side part that showed most noticeable body surface change when moving. A parametric model with convex surface was generated and flattened onto the plane, resulting 2D pattern. The error rate occurring in the process of 3D to 2D conversion was 0.2% for outline and 0.13% for area, respectively. Thirteen kinds of stretchable fabrics in the market were collected for this study. Stretch property was in the range of 16.0~58.2% for wale direction; 23.1~78.4% for course. Based on wear trial test, four fabrics were chosen for making the 1st experimental garment and finally one fabric was chosen for the 2nd one, which was developed applying 4 kinds of crosswise reduction rate on 2D pattern: 0, 5, 10, and 15%. Through wear trial test and garment pressure measurement, experimental garment applied with 10% pattern reduction rate was evaluated as most comfortable and considerable.

  • A new Fe-Cr-Mo-B-C amorphous alloy is designed, which offers high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance as well as high glass-forming ability and its gas-atomized amorphous powder is deposited on an ASTM A213-T91 steel substrate using the high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) process. The hybrid coating layer, consisting of nanocrystalline and amorphous phases, exhibits strong bonding features with the substrate, without revealing significant pore formation. By the coating process, it is possible to obtain a dense structure in which pores are hardly observed not only inside the coating layer but also at the interface between the coating layer and the substrate. The coating layer exhibits good adhesive strength as well as good wear resistance, making it suitable for coating layers for biomass applications.

  • Machine tool state monitoring is a process that automatically detects the states of machine. In the manufacturing process, the efficiency of machining and the quality of the product are affected by the condition of the tool. Wear and broken tools can cause more serious problems in process performance and lower product quality. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system to prevent tool wear and damage during the process so that the tool can be replaced in a timely manner. This paper proposes a method for diagnosing five tool states using a deep learning-based hierarchical convolutional neural network to change tools at the right time. The one-dimensional acoustic signal generated when the machine cuts the workpiece is converted into a frequency-based power spectral density two-dimensional image and use as an input for a convolutional neural network. The learning model diagnoses five tool states through three hierarchical steps. The proposed method showed high accuracy compared to the conventional method. In addition, it will be able to be utilized in a smart factory fault diagnosis system that can monitor various machine tools through real-time connecting.

  • This paper presents a method for analyzing the reliability of hardware electronic equipment, taking into account failures caused by radiation. Traditional reliability analysis primarily focuses on the wear out failure rate and often neglects the impact of radiation failure rates. We calculate the wear out failure rate through physics of failure analysis, while the radiation failure rate is semi-empirically estimated using the Verilog Fault Injection tool. Our approach aims to ensure reliability early in the development process, potentially reducing development time and costs by identifying circuit vulnerabilities in advance. As an illustrative example, we conducted a reliability analysis on the ISCAS85 circuit. Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method compared to traditional reliability analysis tools. This thorough analysis is crucial for ensuring the reliability of FPGAs in environments with high radiation exposure, such as in aviation and space applications.
