A Study on Digital Convergence and Smart City (디지털 컨버전스와 스마트 시티에 관한 연구)

  • In information society, Convergence was combined with a word 'digital'. Digital convergence means a service or new product which appeared through fusion of unit technologies in information and communication regions. The effects of convergence technologies and social phenomenons are visualized in overall regions of society such as economy, society, culture, etc. In this paper, we described a prospects and technologies needed in digital convergence environment. And we described a smart city which was leading case in digital convergence.

  • Smart TV is approaching as a new media service to integrate the broadcasting and the internet according to the technology evaluation of convergence to broadcasting, telecommunication, and computing. Therefore, This paper proposes the next generation smart TV(Smart TV 2.0) technology based on CPNT which supports those services such as the broadcasting, telecommunication, a convergence of broadcasting & communication, and computer service through multi-screen. Also, this paper describes the concept and details of the related technologies.

  • In the fourth industrial revolution era, various commercial smart platforms for smart system implementation are being developed and serviced. However, since most of the smart platforms have been developed for general purposes, they are difficult to apply / utilize because they cannot satisfy the requirements of real-time data management, data visualization and data storage of smart factory system. In this paper, we implemented an open source based smart manufacturing big data platform that can manage highly efficient / reliable data integration for the diagnosis diagnostic system of manufacturing robots.

  • Nowadays, the needs for linking smart devices are growing fast because of wide spread of smart devices such as smart TV, smart phones, smart pad and so on. This paper presents a game framework for linking smart TV and smart phones and proves its applicability by developing an example contents. The problem of connection between smart devices is basically a problem of connection between heterogeneous devices. The problem is that data transmission and reception between heterogeneous devices must be considered. Therefore, the core data is implemented by adopting the concept of cloud computing and storing it in a server, and in a smart TV, playing the game by using this data. The proposed framework could be applied to a lot of applications such as computer games.

  • The operating environments of factories and manufacturing units have changed dramatically due to globalization, population, and customization. The existing factories are converted into smart units using information and communications technology (ICT). These smart factories can produce, control, repair, and manage themselves. The manufacturing processes are efficiently optimized using the monitoring and analysis methods of ICT. In this experimental study, we carried out a survey on the system solution providers and consumer companies to determine the field conditions and requirements necessary for assembling a smart factory. Using the results of this survey, we effectively devised smart factory solutions and implemented them on the existing conditions in various factories.

  • Internet has been used by the unique space that users share various informations. Due to the development of Information communication technology(ICT), many devices were introduced. These devices are connected by Internet each other. The Internet of Things(IoT) use the Internet for the interconnection of the things. Studies for 'Internet of Things' progress extensively on today. Therefore, we studied the smart industries domain related with Internet of things. In this paper, three domains among the smart industries were described. These three domains such as smart city, smart home and smart health are related with our life. Therefore, we described many actual cases in three domains based on Internet of Things.

Development of Cooling and Heating Bench System with Improved User Convenience for Smart City (사용자 편의성을 향상시킨 스마트 시티용 냉·온열 벤치 시스템 개발)

  • In this study, a smart bench was developed and researched smart benches that can contribute to user convenience and satisfaction by installing them in parks, bus stops, and tourist attractions in line with the rapidly changing construction of smart cities. The smart bench is automatically operated by the control system according to the external temperature and provides additional functions such as charging, lighting, and advertising to improve general bench functions as well as heating in winter and cooling in summer, making it suitable for smart urbanization. The developed smart bench is designed to be strong enough to withstand loads of about 2,500 N. It minimizes the visible parts such as assembled bolts and 220V power supply wires, It can also give aesthetic effects. The development was carried out with the aim of waterproofing and dustproofing of IP44 grade in accordance with the climate of Republic of Korea, which has four seasons, and it is advantageous for long-term use because the paint was selected for the weather ability (discoloration) grade 3 or higher. If smart bench is commercialized, it is believed that various options can be provided to the smart bench market, where buyers had few product options, as the parts were developed in an assembled type so that all functions can be responded in an optional form according to the installation environment and the buyer's budget.

  • This paper presents an investigation into the development of a fabric electronics based smart bag for festival users of the 2029 generation with customizable tech flaps (music media control/ LED animated graphic functions) based on the application of traditional Korean patterns and goblin patterns in an electric circuit. The investigator took into consideration functional and design strategies to enable custom service according to users' tastes and situations. Based on these considerations, a customizable smart bag platform was proposed in a detachable module based on a computer embroidery machine. The study is significant in that it developed a product that is different from the old PCB smart products in hard form and proposed a new business model.

  • IT convergence with agriculture is expected to bring more efficiency and quality improvement in producing, distributing, consuming of agricultural products with the aid of information processing and autonomous control technologies of the IT area. Smart Farming based on network is a service which is capable of coping with environmental and technical problems with the actualized IT convergence case for agriculture. In this paper, it is required to consider the actualized IT convergence case for agriculture, namely Smart Farming as a solution to cope the presented problems. In addition, propose and suggest to standard model and standardization items requirement for the Smart Farming based on network.

BSSSQS: A Blockchain-Based Smart and Secured Scheme for Question Sharing in the Smart Education System

  • In this study, we present a new scheme for smart education utilizing the concept of a blockchain for question sharing. A two-phase encryption technique for encrypting question papers (QSPs) is proposed. In the first phase, QSPs are encrypted using a timestamp, and in the second phase, previously encrypted QSPs are encrypted again using a timestamp, salt hash, and hash from the previous QSPs. These encrypted QSPs are stored in a blockchain along with a smart contract that helps the user to unlock the selected QSP. An algorithm is also proposed for selecting a QSP for the exam that randomly picks a QSP. Moreover, a timestamp-based lock is imposed on the scheme so that no one can decrypt the QSP before the allowed time. Security analysis is conducted to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme against different attacks. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is demonstrated through implementation, and the superiority of the proposed scheme over existing schemes is proven through a comparative study based on different features.
